Any idea what is going on with bbs.money? I'm unable to open it for more then 24 hours already.

We had some problem syncing the blocks. We are re-syncing from the beginning it is pretty slow at the moment.
You can go to https://bbs.money/ now to generate an import key for the desktop wallet.
This will allow you to still transfer out fund when the web wallet is in maintenance.
We are really sorry for that.

Is there a list of supported forum BBS plugins? Would be nice to have that on the website. Then possible investors are able to see the purpose of the coin more clearly.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will put them on our new website.

The REST API for BBSCoin web wallet is available now at https://developers.bbs.money/
$BBS is not limited to forums. You can integrate it with your website.
Node.js module is ready for use and PHP client is on the way.
Try it out and let us know what you think.
We are always improving!

A kindly reminder of what we've done in past 3 months:

  • Delivered the initial version of integrations for 4 different forum software providers.
  • Upgraded all the library dependencies of pool code. No one cares to do them in years and the majority of Cryptonight pools are running on a Node.js version that released 5 years ago.
  • Released Web Wallet built from scratch that the majority of Cryptonight coins are STILL on the roadmap. Why? Because there is no open-source project they can simply fork from!
  • Upgraded the difficulty algorithm TWICE to fight against hashing attack.
  • Forked to Cryptonight v7 to fight against ASIC so everyone can have a fair game.
  • Public APIs and documentations are almost ready.
  • New forum plugins are in development and we will start to promoting websites to use them.

In the meantime:

BBS team has 3 developers that all have full-time software development job.
We have spent all the spare time and weekends to develop this coin and providing support with no pre-mine, ICO or any kind of financial support.
We are run all the servers with money from our own pocket.
We paid the listing fee from our own pocket.
We never sold any BBS on any of the exchanges.
We bought back 500 million coins from the market.
We didn't even call for donations.

These are all driven by the passion that we want to make something that's useful and fun.
But I am very sad about what happened here. People just come here and call us a scam for no reason.
Because we didn't check the thread here in a day or two.
Because they are not earning as some website advertised.
Because they can't find the information they need.
Because the price is low.

The hash rate has dropped from 3MH/s to 600KH/s since we moved to Cryptonight v7.
You can mine a lot with an ordinary home PC. It virtually cost you nothing.
I just don't understand people accusing like they've lost a million.

Please, guys. Do your own research.
Save your time to mine something else if you don't like BBS. No one forced you to mine it.

Thank you.

As i told before, BBS becoming a s*it coin.

No new exchange, there doesn't exist any significant volume.

We don't know what the developers do, what will they do. There is not any marketing effort.

Just mining and hoping to be worth to sell.

Nothing happens after 27 pages...

Don't waste your time with mining BBS.
Ignore the volume Now?
Ignore the development?
Just leave please, we dont need foolish miner, we need smart miners

Market
Exchange   Pair   Volume   USD
altex.exchange   XMR / BBS   97.17278235 XMR   $19665.34

"Just leave please, we dont need foolish miner, we need smart miners" Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

It is not just a mining thing. Where is the solid whitepaper(don't share the wp link i already saw it), what are you planning to do with all that coin?
What are developers doing and planning? Why don't they periodically inform us about development and marketing process?

Also nothing on BBS twitter account about those subjects. Just mining, mining mining.... Tongue Tongue Tongue
We don't even know who the developers are Angry Angry Angry

Everyone talks about just mining, no one asks about the rest.
When someone comes and asks about it(maybe with a little aggressive way), the kitten miners become tigers Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Come on, what will you do with "184,470,000,000" BBS.... Explain this, share your technical and especially marketing ideas.

Don't just mine like a fool Wink Wink

We are making changes periodically.
https://github.com/bbscoin

All the plans are in this fucking thread and we are tweeting about all the updates.
Just scroll back a little there are tons of updates.

https://twitter.com/bbscoin_xyz/status/995802037190184960
"We've seen an increasing error when sending BBS from web wallet. We have identified and fixed the issue. When you log into http://BBS.money  next time. You will see a progress bar like this. Please want until it finishes processing. It will just take few seconds."

https://twitter.com/bbscoin_xyz/status/993042344910905345
"We are working on the public APIs for integrating with http://bbs.money . Documentations and existing forum plugins will be updated soon. $BBS"

WTF do you mean we don't inform you the update?
Please choose something else to mine if you don't have patience.

this coin could be a scam.
mined few hours on 2 different wallets, payments sent out by the pool and not balance showing up.

I have never seen anything so bad as the wallets from this BBS.
online wallet not working...
is anyone actually using this BBS?

You should provide more information for solving problems.
All users got their payments, check your own problem. Learn about CryptoNight and Block Time, Unlock Time first.
Nice!
So finally someone chimed in.

Practically, I have used 1 web wallet and got some payments over there but not been able to send over Crest. BTW I am not new to this things, it just gives me error message after pressing send the transfer or something like that. Obviously the Crest address has been copied and pasted correctly.
beside you cannot import another wallet on the web interface.

Then I run 2 different GUI wallets, one on windows and one on the mac. All downloaded from the official website. Where else should I ?
The one on the Mac does not even load, and get a long error message of the kind:BBS cannot open because of a problem, etcc...

To give you an example of the amateurish way these BBS guys are working, when you download the Mac gui wallet, you  get a "read me" file that says:
"Please install qt5 before running the wallet/
You can install from homebrew:

brew install qt5 "

Which led to the question: what the heck is that? I mean a minimum of providing a web link or some instructions on where to download this "homebrew" and what it is for?
I google ths homebrew qt5 stuff, but from the result i get to to understand what should be done there is a long way.

The one on Windows: once it got stock synchronising for ever. the second time after rebooting the system, since the wallet did not want to 'exit" and kept running in background no matter what, did not even load the block chain and it has been stock on the splash screen the whole night.

This is the first time i have found such unreliable wallets from a coin.

things should work like this:
you download the GUI wallet, install and launch, synchronize, then it should just work.
the web wallet: once the password is set up, it should just begin synchronizing and the just plain work.

what message did you get for the web wallet?
that I was using wrong address.

then that means you used a wrong address. simple as that
It was copied and pasted an address provided by Crest Exchange. Triple checked after failing the first attempt.

Anyway, GUI wallet on mac does not even start. Gui wallet on Windows,, opened once and got stock loading the chain, and now it has been stock on the splash screen for almost 48 hours, saying is loading the chain.

Crest Exchange? The only exchanges we were aware of are https://crex24.com/ and https://altex.exchange/
That was a typo, I obviously meant Crex.

Only Cryptoisme advertising this BBS at a profit that is totally off the mark.
ZERO buy orders on Crex and Altex. Not looking any good.

Anyway if you are a member of this BBS team, you could at least acknowledge the poor work that has been done on the GUI wallets so far, and propose a solution, instead of bitching back and forth.
Or maybe you are just a fanboy.

Why don't you know "Homebrew", can you google it?
You need learn more first. Or As a miner, BBSCoin is not for you.

ZERO buy orders???  Buy Orders Total: 4.53294440 XMR ?? This is zero??

We welcome any constructive proposals, but we do not welcome any groundless accusations.
On the past 6 months I have been mining and using wallets on at least 20 different coins and I have never incurred in such a lack of information and total negligence in helping users by the development team. No mentioning your attitude.

I had googled homebrew before as i mentioned on previous posts.
Still that is not of great help if someone come across this product for the first time.
Yet on the documentation BBS provide with the GUI wallet, does not give a proper explanation or link were to download it correctly.
That is a fact.
No providing proper instructions, links that help to use your software is utterly moronic, unless you want to keep many potential miners out of this project. Go learn any basic marketing before you venture in any project.

Beside, your negligence on providing enough information, made many other users wondering of the legitimacy of the project.
Therefore you got here quite a few post stating that your work is a scam.
Instead of being such a bitch as you are,  you and your team should be flowing with information to clarify issues, of which you have plenty, if you may wonder.
After few months of BBS being around, it has an almost always empty book of buy orders and very few miners are bothering with it.

As for my first 2 posts, were i was simply asking some informations nobody on your team gave a fxxk.
So only when I provocatively started stating that you guys a scam, you felt the need of responding.
Did not take too long after the word "scam" for you lazy thing to show up. Did you?

What a bunch of pillocks.

Keep the red ink for highlighting the list of things you have to do, because you got plenty.

It would've been helpful if you provided anything like a screenshot, log or description of error message what you saw.
Instead, you started calling us a scam in your third thread just one day after the initial two.

We don't bother to look into the problem for someone like you.
WE DON'T GIVE A FXXK.
People put their money and resources to buy or mine your coin.

You should not be so full of it, because you just made my point.
You did not answer to the first 2 queries. Could not care less to begin with.
But it needed for your project to be called a scam to get your attention.
I knew it. It is just it way it works.
Do not try to play the offended one. Look at most of the posts from other people on this topic:  mostly rebuttals only to those that doubt the legitimacy of your project. All others saying that they have problems logging in or transferring funds, got curt dismissing answers saying they must be wrong, if not ignored.

Instead of being an ass, you should post concise informations on the first post of this topic and keep it updated as any other legitimate projects out there.
Which would be like doing a proper job, if you may wonder.

Anyway, for those who bother to read this stuff and have similar problems, finally after few days, I could login to the web wallet, and could see that it took 5 days to transfer few 100K BBS coins to Crex24. So there obviously were network/blockchain issues, or something of that kind.
Now the BBS are for sale at the lower price just to see how many buyers show up.

In the mean time on the GUI windows side, even after installing all the software packages and kits required
(Universal C Runtime and VC2017) on the read me file, which is written better than the MacOs one, still after launching the GUI it get stalled at splash screen, loading the chain.
The previous time i tested it was stock on the splash screen for 2 days.

I do not have to post screen shots for this is pretty much straight forward.

In the mean time I have been happily mining Ethereum, Haven and Loki with my few rigs.
WTF I am not ready for this BBS after all. Grin  Grin  Grin

Yeah, we are sorry we don't have a 24x7 support line.
Mine whatever you like.

hey dev ,last day i was thinking how we can use bbscoin for paymants on a forum.

i was thinking about some forum on tornetwork, for (whistleblowers, or stof like that) all of them will get payd in bbscoins if the post some
good and correct info ,, u can think about pic from war images , ore ifo about use of gemical weapons and so on.

U can see it like payments for the tor media , but it will only work if the bbs coins is untraceable..
