Also, bitcoin has been in decline since early 2014 -- so general trend now is decline. It isn't 2009

It doesnt matter that its not 2009. It does matter that it is not 2013/14  Cheesy

No he just need to do any transaction to bind his acc to network.

YOu are a craptsy insider? Many people said clear what they think about craptsy... I have the same opinion, dont go to craptsy, craptsy will go to us.

This sounds like holy inquisition. Burn unholy papers from hell.

For many nemsters it would just be satisfiactory if you call NEM as a Neue Elektronische Mark... as a rememberance of Deutsche Mark, many devs and nemsters have deutsche Abstammung.

However when i made a deposit in exchange i really realized how slow is e. g. bitcoin... in 45 minutes until my deposit was confirmed i fully lost opportunity to make a good arb :/ Sadly it wasnt accepting XEM yet.

There is no trading because there is no space to trade - due to sharp walls at both sides
So people buy high volume coins loke VNL and try to gamble with it because the gamble is possible there. OF course, until someone set a wall even here and killed trading.
People dont look for stable coins they need something what can make them rich fast, its natural.

Lol dat dump... back to 10k

EDIT: DONT BUY VNL AT c-cex, they didnt give me any coins too. BTC withdrawal OK but VNL... nothing.

The problem is to find any other period...  Wink

It would just be enough if the default configuration were set up to use remote NIS and not showing some abilities up by default (it makes bloody f...ng user disoriented and overloaded by huge amount of informations being shown). E. G. the harvesting ability doesnt need to be at main page, its not so important ability for normal user and it could be in its own cathegory at left side.
OF course the security is important (against rogue NIS possibility).

Another notices:

- remove the annoying popping of NIS changing sometimes color from orange to green while synchronization and spamming while working (win client)
- debug the harvesting process
- add a clear possibility to watch (from any wallet if being installed at more places) if the account is (anywhere) harvesting or not and add a green / red button that it really harvest (any kind of confirmation from the whole network, i havent found any block last 24 hours and i cant say if its done by a poor luck or just by harvesting not running in reality)
- better explanation what NIS and NCC is and what it does

Is it normal to keep getting these warnings every few seconds from NIS:

What is this warning and how to fix it?

Interesting, however post it at NEM forum because it will fall into oblivion here due to huge quantity of posts and "posts" in this thread.

I believe in NEM, if not i wouldnt be here now and i wouldnt have spent many hours with this project, im just trying to do some economical analysis and trying to increase my portfolio until its too late and risky Wink The problem is that its not the year 2013 so its inprobable to see extreme fluctuation and marketers are much smarter and dont fall so fast into traps of rush trading + equal distribution doesnt allow anybody to make a big waves. The distribution is very visible at trade history - the price moves very slowly and everyone must be thinking twice about the next step because his "bank" is usually very limited comparing it to market depth.

An ideal situation: sell now, finish the redemption, send XEM value down to 50sat., rebuy, double my holdings and then announce the good news yet...

Problem: we dont live in ideal world, someone placed buy walls so the prediction is one big  Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh The price is still moving between walls, the area between 90 - 115 is a free area of trading now surrounded by huge walls.

The issues today had no big impact, what didnt kill XEM made it even stronger, fast community and dev-team reaction should appear as a positive factor in long term.

Report from market: huge sell walls huge buy walls, the price seems to be stabilized and wont appear to leave 90-115 sat. corridor for a long time

With Avast no issues. Weird.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Team Members on: April 07, 2015, 07:16:11 AM
I noticed that many, really many people are buying just 10.000XEM to start harvestin' in future. And then i noticed that a guy who has received approx. 270.000XEM from donations from many accounts (yesterdays ballance, only few of them vested) has now bigger importance than 2.25M stakeholders (he had over 7, we have only 2.5-3.5). So the distribution process is now in 2nd stage of redistribution and it seems to be possible to get many XEMs just by harvesting almost if there will be some promoting for harvesters/nodes.

Or just someone tryin' to test the network by sybill/51 percent attack?  Grin

I didnt vote for NEM at craptsy just because i dont see any sense in voting here... Craptsy will come alone to us, no need to go to craptsy.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why volume of altcoins just dropped drastically ? on: April 06, 2015, 08:45:44 AM
Altcoin river is dry, thats sad but true  Smiley However every dry river has its dry river bed which seems incredibly large but first rain is usually able to fill it incredibly...
In summer 2013 there were alts being considered as worthless. Same like in 1914 people were feeling well like never before. Same like Rommel went on holiday on 6th June 1944.

3 choices - be optimistic, buy even worthless shit/scam-coins for almost 0 and hope it will get some new juice when bitcoin goes up again

- be pesimistic and sell your gazillion of shitcoins for 0.001 satoshi and go to work

- be realistic, stay in better alts only and wait until BTC goes over 500 again. Meanwhile build up some new company or write a book about strangers sitting home in darkness and trying to get money and sense of life from wasting electricity and building obscure PCs.

Dont forget - the PoW system of Bitcoin has its disadvantages too - its ecology disaster and really inefficient in many ways. Alts may co-exist if they dont try to make a better bitcoin but when they come with independent initiative. Making BTC 2.0 is not enough.

And dont forget the next important thing - the volume dropped because there are NO exchanges. Remember how many of them just vanished (maaaany of them), lost credibility (bter), was ruined by criminals (mintpump) or just was too craptsy (hi vern  Cheesy ). Poloniex as the only big one today is just a shame of other ones - do you remember how unimportant this exchange was 1.5 years ago?
