Altcoin river is dry, thats sad but true
However every dry river has its dry river bed which seems incredibly large but first rain is usually able to fill it incredibly...
In summer 2013 there were alts being considered as worthless. Same like in 1914 people were feeling well like never before. Same like Rommel went on holiday on 6th June 1944.
3 choices - be optimistic, buy even worthless shit/scam-coins for almost 0 and hope it will get some new juice when bitcoin goes up again
- be pesimistic and sell your gazillion of shitcoins for 0.001 satoshi and go to work
- be realistic, stay in better alts only and wait until BTC goes over 500 again. Meanwhile build up some new company or write a book about strangers sitting home in darkness and trying to get money and sense of life from wasting electricity and building obscure PCs.
Dont forget - the PoW system of Bitcoin has its disadvantages too - its ecology disaster and really inefficient in many ways. Alts may co-exist if they dont try to make a better bitcoin but when they come with independent initiative. Making BTC 2.0 is not enough.
And dont forget the next important thing - the volume dropped because there are NO exchanges. Remember how many of them just vanished (maaaany of them), lost credibility (bter), was ruined by criminals (mintpump) or just was too craptsy (hi vern
). Poloniex as the only big one today is just a shame of other ones - do you remember how unimportant this exchange was 1.5 years ago?
