A fix for the KGW problem is being worked out and will be on testnet soon, a number of other different projects are also being worked on for release with or shortly after upcoming Ann.. OK things are taking longer than was originally expected but the Kitteh is far from abandoned or dead or whatever else the Fudtsers wanna call it!
There is not even 1 real post [not spam] or activity anywhere on that forum for weeks now ! nothing goin on IRC either  its been weeks since the old dev [scam] team left, the "Transmission" to the new team is taking way too long. [probably not happening] The KGW fix [or change to anything else] is something that can be done in 1 day [2 man-hours or so by a "real" coder]. Dano lied to ours face for months that "he has the solution" & he is gonna implement it soon with other BIG features... & then he quit. typical &*%^&$%^. Face the facts. Disclaimer : i was here & there since day 1, i mined before relaunch even, & i am a bag-holder of 60M MEOW that i am gonna keep, as a lesson. I always knew they [the old dev team] are not the real deal, or anything close to real coders, but i didn't expect them to be this low; delivering nothing. found a coder ? try to relive this coin, its still way less scammy than most coins out there ~ gl |

Well, I guess main problem now is that altcoins got divided into 2 groups:
- coins that are on MINTPAL (which is the biggest exchange now)
- coins that are on Cryptsy and other exchanges (which constantly are losing value because of bots doing deals on Cryptsy)

So, there was so much talking about this coin having 10+ developers. Where are they now? I guess we are in the transition period, but really, holders need to see some action, because otherwise they will lose interest.

Hey guys, We are going to release the white wallet as a "Beta". It is a work in progress and we will be doing further updates to the GUI over the next few days. All of these themed wallets should be considered 100% optional, there's no need whatsoever to upgrade if you dont like the design and would prefer to stay with the standard wallet. If you do choose to try out one of these wallets all you need to do is unzip the new wallet into a new folder or you could unzip it straight over the top of the old one if you're so inclined. I am with kitteh from the begining. I don't like posting in forums but i can no longer remain silent because I like this coin. But I think that this coin is going to die. Why? Because every day this coin is getting less and less support from everywhere. I always thought that the strongest part of this coin is development. But now I think this coin has no support even from development. Since the beginning of February i can see only Dano some annuoncments about big features like merged minning, zero coin and so on without any result or real timelines. But the last think that make me disappointed with develompent was announcment about Donation to get Meow on Mintpal. It say "... is about 780 votes! That is much more than we'd ever generate trying to vote every day with the limits and such." It is strange announcement from developer. I am not web developer but it took me about 2-3 hours to make small program to vote every hour on MintPal for meow. It is about 120 votes daily from one account. Just spread it though all team of meow and you will have much more votes without any donations. Without real management and development support this coin will die soon... Because it is the same as other shitcoins on the market...

@TheMightyX I was just being nice here before, obviously you still have a lot to learn about basic concepts of crypto-currency. I said "non-public" IPOs which is a "norm" nowdayz by your definition & 99% of new coins scam people with IPOs & pre-mines not to "market" the coin, just becoz they think they deserve over 100,000 $ by cloning a scrypt-jane coin & writing a 5 pages website in 2 months. This can go long, & you probably will ignore the simple facts, but bottom line is, this DAC [Distributed Anonymous Corporation] systems;or simply any currency based on blockchain technology, pays for itself & doesn't really need an IPO as it has nothing to do with your usual companies [in last 100 years ] that have been created by IPOs. read more. ~ pEace |

TheMightyX, while you have very few valid points, Premine & suspicious [non-public] IPOs never was & never will be a "norm" in future. this is just gold-fever with noobz to lose their money. unless for retarded people, yes i said retarded people, whom believe in cartoons & super-heroes which thinks that some faceless troll [an unknown dev] will give away 50% pre-mine [ 300,000,000 $ in current price] just becoz he is a nice guy !! [yes i am talking about the biggest scam ever; AKA auroracoin, lol] ~ adaptive-N can have some benefits, but its basically a "Hyped" PoW with no real use in future. & we don't need v2.0 hype, kitteh was one of the very few that launched in a fever of crapcoins & never was a "hyped"or a "P&D" coin like many other scamcoins. This is so undervalued actually by any calculations, lol ! [look at that crap mooncoin for example, with a low-life dev that does exactly nothing except accepting donations ] Where was the pre-mine spent ? no promotions ? the dev is still here as it seems, so why he is not doing anything about marketing ? It's still profitable Just not when it gets way too low like 0.0..  ?? That is why its more profitable for early adopters. Later down the line there will be less coins per block, halving each 16666 blocks. Value will adjust as this occurs to balance out, if its hard to obtain the coins, the price will rise. It's also about supply and demand. Also, this can be the same reason so many will call this a scam [they have the right to say so], since you are adding value to nothing by halving it ridiculously fast ! [every 6 dayz !!] srsly ? so many warned you about this, 16666 blocks to halve only ? this is NOT good for early adopters even as its just too fast, & you will have NO new miners after halves. got it ? |

Can someone tell me why the real Block time is 180 seconds instead of 60 that is mentioned in the OP ?! whats the deal with all these new coins launchin with different Specs than the OP ? lol, that hard to launch with a defined spec ? Block time: 60 seconds
If its not a technical bug [which is NOT resolved after block 3000 fork], then why the OP is not updated with the "new specs" ... ? while you are at it, maybe fix this too : [lol] Retarget: 60 blocks - 1 hour

• 2 Minute block generation.

• Subsidy is cut in half every 16666 blocks.
& another "side note" : srsly ? 16666 ? 7500 blocks gone for pre-mine [oh, lOl], so only 9166 blocks with 300coins reward, that would be like 3 dayz only ! & around each 6 dayz [16666 blocks] the reward halves again ! a really bright future for new coming miners... now i don't wanna get into technical details [it would be an insult to do so in cases like these] ~ pEace |

Shut up and give me the premine =))))) didn't the dev already give 50k thru xhash... There is a premine of 2.5Mio FRY, the 50 what Xhash have fro Frycoin are just peanuts. Its a lot of space fpr further promotion for FRY. Spread the coin, they will spred the word. mmmmm..peanuts.. i agree with you. this coin needs promotion and bigger exchange. i have my trust in this coin and some how i know that this is going to be big with some time. it is pretty young still.. Lets hope the DEV is not from the sam Dumper crew like the rapidcoin guy. Seems a lot very similar. He also wouldn`t spend the pre mine for pormotion cause he made the dump within 48h. This coin was in the same time after the coin was born on cryptorush --> you see what happend to the price. Every coin shoul wait at least one or two weeks before hit an exchange. Now the price is dumped and no miners around. The major problem with this coin would be a silent Dev that doesn't use the pre-mine for promotion, Nobody is going to buy this shit before at least a good part of that pre-mine is gone. [Buy if you want to gamble, but Don't put up buy-orders, so no-one can dump] Obviously, its critical for a coin health to get spread, & the Dev is acting too fishy to say the least. |

KGW is implemented. - So we won't be raped by multipools  Some modifications about the rewards: Max coins: 1 billion Normal reward: 10,000 Lemon reward: 10 x normal reward halved every 100,000 blocks. Block at height 1 won't be counted as Lemon block. More advices are welcome. Please pm me or post on the thread.The OP still says "Retarget: 60 blocks - 1 hour" instead of 1 [KGW] !? since at least you pretend to listen; IF you really wanna have a fair launch, - Start with block reward 0.1 & go linear to 10 for the first 100 blocks at least. [no insta-mine, even in case of pool down-times] - "Lemon Blocks" must be random on each 1000 blocks, not on a specific block # 100 1, 200 1,... as those blocks will be an easy target for Multipools or private pools whom can jump generally. - Have at least 1 official & stable pool [with DDOS protection] ready for launch. ~ pEAce |

+1 I want to thank everyone for the continued support. We know the price is being manipulated + raped by multipools. We are actively working on defenses to thrwart these attacks (a highly improved KGW implementation for KittehCoin) as well as possibly moving up the blockfork if we need to. All this will be done in tight coordination with pool operators. Right now we are making sure KGW will solve our problems . We are in this for the long haul. We'll get the multipool assholes out of the picture, we are already talking with a payment processor. We are also working on a twitter tipbot. So what exactly does forking early involve? A new client? I am just curious if the multipools would update or not, if they didn't would that cause them to miss the fork and keep the current version going? Yes, just a client update. & we don't care if MP update or not. In case they don't update; Only they will be on the wrong chain, but Everyone else [Kitteh Pool owners + Major Exchanges + Community] will be on the right chain, enjoying life while MPs waste their hash on the wrong fork. ~ pEace |
