Is there any plan to bring the staking interest back up? I miss my awesome staking It's a bit of a double edged sword. It dilutes value, but also was a major incentive to new adopters I hope not. Because of this hobonickels are becoming scarce and it will have longterm benefit on ist price. 30% is still huge interest imho I have no plans to change anything else that deals with rewards or things of that nature. The only exception will be the change to allow stakes to mature and being staking after 1 day. I thinking about getting that out as version 2.1 for EOY and have the hard fork set for 4 or 5 months later. Like April 2018 ish. But I have some other changes I want to get to first. Im still holding the coins. Promising project but the volume is very little
Volume is only what we make of it. I try to buy and sell just about every day to help out both side. I'm ready for the next hard fork. Let's do it. 2 months from release date of client is PLENTY of time. No need to delay any longer.

So let me get this straight. Theres a bunch of people investing in specialized hardware to support and secure this network efficiently and you all want to punish them by switching mining algo's? They believe in DGB and want to accumulate as much as they can through mining, somehow there's a problem with it? It's called competition.
Yes, I can agree with switching out dead algo's such as qubit.
they will still be asic algo but now if we do nothing they will be no cpu&gpu algo anymore onyl asic and you think it s fair when someone is doing close to 1 million dgb a day and probably dumping it everyday? They are actively investing in the network. Swap the shitty qubit algo for a better cpu algo and leave the rest alone. No need to force the miners out so people can get their easy coins. If that happens, the network will be less secure and less valued overall.

Do you think one day it will be able to reach 10$ ?
Any coin can reach any value, but who the hell knows? I would be happy if it went to $1.00 in value. Digibyte has maximum of 21 Billion coins. Bitcoin has maximum of 21 Million coins. That means if DGB would have the same worth as bitcoin compared to their maximum coins, dgbs maximum value would be at 3$ today But its not bitcoin its an altcoin. You can say the altcoin "moon" reach (1/10) of bitcoin. So reaching 0,3$ (10.000Sat) would be the maximum altcoin moon for dgb today Yes it has more coins so it doesn't have scalability issues like Bitcoin has. Bitcoin Cash eliminated the scaling issue as did DGB with its v4 (or was it v3?) update which increases the block size each year.

Has anyone ever actually used digibytemarket.com to successfully purchase anything, or has it been a scam the whole time?
I'm pretty sure it was all a setup to steal $32 from some sucker fool. Looks like it worked..(just having a laugh..seriously though, $32? I loose that much per trade on fees alone). Are you saying that given small amounts of money, it's OK for a business to not provide the advertised product? Looks like Jared disagrees with your (stupid) POV, because he disabled digibytemarket.com's scamming functionality. Before Scam Accusation:https://i.imgur.com/rGZJ4gj.jpgAfter Scam Accusation:https://i.imgur.com/a85EC1v.pngSee how that works? Now where are my refunds? no transaction proof, just shout here without proof. this is the way loser workIt's the same troll pattern with every crypto.

Hey guys, Been a bit busy but as promised I made a wikipedia article for DigiByte. It's not huge and certainly not comprehensive but having seen so many people asking if DGB is a scam or if it's 'real' I thought it would be prudent to make as good an article as I possibly could for you guys. If any of you long term community members could check it out and possible make additions (or even corrections where necessary) that'd be awesome. I urge you all to be careful though, it is a wikipedia article not an advertisement. If you feel conflicted in any way do not add to the post and always be unbias and CITE everything you can. Any sort of bias or advertisement on there will do far more harm than good, so be honest and respectful if you change anything! Remember it's about information, the good the bad and the ugly, not about trying to get people to buy your stuff. Anyway I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and congratulations to you all on a fantastic moon mission today. Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigibytePS: I just formally saved the page about 10minutes before I typed this message but I have to sleep. I hope it is not removed due to some wikipedia technicality but if it does happen to be removed while I sleep I will find out why and make the necessary corrections. If it's gone when you search for it that may be why! Coinomi android wallet with shapeshift integration. Currently DGB is buggy due to segwit activation, I think.

It's easy for fiat to move into crypto, but it's not so easy getting back out (when you're talking about profits and a rising market).
And then you've got TAX considerations. When you convert to fiat, you have to report it, and with no cost basis, holy shit batman, there goes a good 40-50%, if you're lucky. And transaction costs. And slippage. Etc.
There are lots of sound reasons why it's better just to leave it in crypto. A crypto milk cow is what I've got for life. ;-)
I'm sure that's the attitude many have, and accounts in large part for why Bitcoin profit takers are staying inside crypto by buying Alts.
agreed. it's a fucking cluster-fuck of bullshit.
