miners can choose BU and if thats shit or shows a bug they can just switch to original SegWit from the Core team whats the f...ing problem. If they believe they still dont make enough money from it they can just shut their rigs down and open an asian street food chain in Hong Kong instead and let the mining pass to other regions of the world whats the problem man

Is there anyone else on this forum who is solely interested in what is best for bitcoin and not necessarily just it's price going through the roof? I suppose if it's price does rise high that would be a good thing for bitcoin, but not always. If it shoots up too quickly because of hype or what have you it could collapse like it did before it is a very good thing for bitcoin. It is what brought it so far. Dont worry it will go through the roof as before. and it will correct as before. All the Fudders will appear again and scream look bitcoin crashed down to 3000 $ its dead. its inevitable. If you dont like it why dont you just go for a quieter hobby.. collecting stamps for instance  |

13. Feb Today we've permanently broken the $1000 barrier and are staying under it.
It seems a new down trend has been set for the foreseeable future.
With China cracking down on Bitcoin quite hard and people realizinf Bitcoin can technically and economically hold nowhere near the value it has now, a new panic wave has set in.
Will the community take control and continue to develop bitcoin for the future or will we see more dramatic years spiraling down and down? You heard it guys, 1000 $ permanently broken... UPWARDS  sorry I just had to bring this sh*t up again  |

I think they see the upside potential and want to make sure to get these exchanges compliant with AML before they handle substantial cash flows. Will be good for BTC in the long run - if they are not overreacting. But cancelling BTC / LTC withdrawals for 1 month? You have to consider the customer side. If you are chinese and your exchange proofs unreliable in terms of withdrawals, what would you do? You send your BTC to any other exchange for trading or to your private wallet for holding - and only use the chinese exchange for cash out in CNY.
Might turn out that PBoC cut their own flesh with this. If Chinese citizen do not trade their BTC on chinese exchanges anymore, they can regulate them just as much as they want..

Today OKCoin has had so far 20K volume - which exchange had more? if bots playing ping pong with one btc selling and buying it back 20k times because the trading fees are a joke, its still 1 BTC. And not 20k BTC. |

Keep up the good work bitfreak! I always considered this as a longtime-investment so Im not concerned about the price anyway. I think there will be no major ups until a new bitcoin rally and rising awareness of bloated blockchain issues occurs. That will take some time until then but Im confident that these events will take place finally. Until then, more time to buy the dips every now and then..
