Where's my refund?  As per your sales agreement you owe me a fuck ton of money.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New Address Already has Transactions?? on: November 22, 2016, 03:26:09 PM
I created a few new sending addresses and they all had two transactions when I looked them up on blockchain.info.

I was fully synced.

Upon further inspection it looks like the unknown addresses were created when I sent btc to someone.  I was not aware of the sending address (from me), and it didn't show up in my list of receiving addresses.  When I created a new receiving address it used one of my unknown sending addresses.   *relief*   I've been upgrading versions over the years, so these strangely behaving addresses could have been created on a number of versions in the past.

I just upgraded to 0.13.1 and new receiving addresses are all clean.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / New Address Already has Transactions?? on: November 22, 2016, 02:49:41 PM
I'm using Bitcoin Core version v0.12.1 (64-bit).  When I create a new receiving address and look it up on blockchain.info it shows that transactions already exist with that address.   How is this possible?  Should a brand new address have zero transactions associated with it?

For example, I just created this new address "1NJXy8JSSUYjRp7V83thvUbMG1DBuKA6wc".  When I look it up on blockchain.info we see two transactions.  https://blockchain.info/address/1NJXy8JSSUYjRp7V83thvUbMG1DBuKA6wc

What is going on here?   Has my system been compromised, or is this "normal" ?

Any news about Giorgio?   Is he still cruising around in his Ferrari?
6  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: My Wallet got hacked and the hacker paid huge transaction fees to take the money on: December 16, 2013, 02:28:08 AM
If your system is compromised they may have a key logger and have captured logins, password, and everything else.

How is it that the transfer AND the fee went to the same wallet?  Don't fees go to miners?

Why would anyone pay a huge transaction fee to hack an account? A miner?  Wink

Are you saying that one can decide who gets a transaction fee?  Doesn't it go to whichever miner happens to solve the block?  And isn't that based on "luck"?  Meaning, there's no way to tell which miner will get the fees.

So, is this miner working with some major hardware, or is there a chance something nefarious is happening here?  They've made over $20,000,000 in three months.

The miner who found that block is doing some serious mining.  Someone sent them 8000 BTC on September 9 then they've been mining steady since.   All of the coins they mine have "For Pierce and Paul" in the Coinbase.  Must be nice to be Pierce and Paul.  https://blockchain.info/charts/received-per-day?address=13NA7X1u18CgGa7RzTDyvuuoLJtLRvXgke

How is this a dick move on the part of the miner?  Was he or she somehow responsible for content of the block he or she mined?

I understand that about 3000W is required for a 2TH rig, so a couple circuits would work.  The problem is, what kind of plug does it come with?  There are so many to choose from such as http://www.3cpu.org/files/garage/garage_240plug_1.jpg  or http://www.woodworkingtalk.com/attachments/f2/4486d1218244574-240v-outlet-new-tablesaw-240v_6.1.jpg .   I'd like to run a circuit but need to know what kind of plug the rig comes with so I can be prepared for when it arrives.  Does anyone know what kind of plug they come with?

Has anyone else ordered a Bitmine.ch Coincraft rig?  I'm thinking of getting a 2TH unit but wonder what kind of outlet would be required.  I understand I would need about 3000W so a couple circuits would work.

Unfortunately as a noob I can't post in the Coincraft forum.
