I may have missed it in the OP - what is the exact UTC this auction ends? 48 hours starting from when?
watch the countdown: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189248.0

hope it ends below 70 BTC/blade

@Hiroaki
use a normal computer PSU

We may actually end up in the 60s this time.

Guys - can someone please make a Devcoin client for windows that is professional and easy to use and claim the bounty for that Smiley

I think the windows exe files already exist so it shouldn't be too hard for someone with the skills.

This will help in more people using Devcoin!

Devcoin is pretty much the same client as bitcoin, at the time it was created.  What is the issue with the client you want to see addressed?

I'd be nice if it was re-forked from the 0.8.1 codebase so we can use leveldb.

Less than 10 hours to go, how exciting.

So those racks are for ten boards? I may consider further bidding on a set of ten if I get a rack to go with it.
I'm asking friedcat, but on a previous PM he replied me this:

Hi John,

They are not closed cases, but open sub-racks used on closed racks or open shelves. We would not recommend any end-users to buy them at their current version. Thanks.

Best regards,

friedcat

If you paid for the rack's shipping, I guess he could be fine in sending you one. I'm asking him that possibility.

I wouldn't mind paying a little more in shipping to get one. It saves me the time of having to build something to hold these.

How much coins/daily will this do?

[05:14:31] <gribble> The expected generation output, at 10000.0 Mhps, given difficulty of 8974296.01489, is 0.560385478255 BTC per day and 0.0233493949273 BTC per hour.

lenny_> I did not had the chance to try p2pool, sorry.

Regarding Power supply questions, I think pictures talk better than words :

I think Alex had an issue with the diameter of the wires; I was told  that when a wire heats up, it is usually because current is too strong.

In the case of Block Erupter Blades, 10A is a lot of current. Beware it could kill a man if manipulated carelessly.

10A can kill a man but with 12V you can't produce 10A through a man.

From what I remember of the safety course I had on this subject the danger zone for an healthy person touching live wires on both sides of his/her heart is above 25V.

Its not hard to wire these if its just a screw terminal. Buy a standard PSU, cut the 12v wires off a molex (leave the 5v attached to the plug so they dont get in the way).

8 * 32. I miscounted the number of ethernet ports I have available between the switches I have.

Dude, not to argue, but you're looking to put ~$35K in mining, and you're worried about not having a $100 ethernet switch?

If that's what's holding you back, I'm sure the share holder will gladly join up to buy you an extra ethernet switch so you can bid on more blades :-)

I don't want to use my entire DMC 2.0 reserve on this. I mean, unless there are investors willing to pay up front for corporate bonds I can't sign from the c-corp yet.

No, and theres been too many important bug fixes since then.
151  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: DiabloMiner GPU Miner on: April 28, 2013, 11:16:03 AM
hi ! help me please where i can find older version of diablominer that support opencl 1.0 ?

OpenCL 1.2 is supported by all hardware except Radeon 4xxx series GPUs. Upgrade your drivers, or if you're on OSX, upgrade to 10.8.

John, I could code up a bot that scans the thread and posts the current bid status every x minutes, if you want. It shouldn't take much time.

I'd like to see this as an IRC bot, to be honest.

I wonder how many projects publicly announce Devcoin donation addresses.

DiabloMiner does: https://github.com/Diablo-D3/DiabloMiner/

Auction has ended. No one bid, someone privately bought them.
158  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: April 25, 2013, 06:15:46 AM
Can anyone elaborate why the "real" shares can't be on BTC-TC?
Because friedcat decided to not relist shares on an exchange after GLBSE went down.

And I don't blame him. Took me a long while to get over the anger before I relisted DMC.
159  Economy / Auctions / Re: 371 ASICMINER shares, 1.0 BTC minimum bid, 24 hour on: April 25, 2013, 06:14:38 AM
if anyone has NOT gotten their payout from ASICMINER's dividend yesterday, contact friedcat immediately.
160  Economy / Auctions / Re: 12 million Devcoins, 48 hour auction on: April 24, 2013, 08:05:09 AM
people with whole millions to offer want at least 250 satoshis per coin for them.

12 million * 250 satoshis = 30 BTC, or slightly above the starting bid.
