Considering how much Bitcoin has dropped over the last few months as shown on the 1-year graph on Coinlib, this seems like a good time to buy. Of course if you believe in cryptos and that the market will grow. Buying when the price has dropped significantly has worked well since now in crypto. Everyone should do their research and take responsible decisions.

I wouldn't suggest looking at BTC every five minutes either, but if you can't help it, the price of Bitcoin on Coinlib is updated in real-time, graphs, too.

Short Answer: Because the Total Market Cap is going down. It's been just a couple of days that recovery has started. Additionally: Not all coins are going down actually. There are some coins which saw profits the last 30 days as shown on Coinlib and this image Each coin's price is theoretically independent but almost all coins get affected by the movement of the total market cap and the top coins, like Bitcoin

Here is a list of the Top Gaining Coins as presented on Coinlib for the last 30 days. Bitcoin was down 42.5% during that period so that gives you an impression of the performance comparison. No one can really know for the future but only speculate. You can also use the Coin Comparison of course.
