1  Economy / Economics / Re: The Need for Bitcoin and an Argument Against Regulation on: April 17, 2018, 11:09:21 AM
Its possible that regulations may turn out to be not so bad! Banks are regulated (Yes, they suck, but atleast there is a regulator who "claims" to be watching all of them).

Overall, I agree with the argument! Good stuff. And yes,...Bitcoin (or any altcoin) is required. Maybe not all of them will survive, but there is enough demand for them to sustain for a long period of time.

Can you share the shortlist of coins?
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / How does Tether (USDT) keep a stable price? on: April 05, 2018, 03:35:56 AM
General demand and supply changes the price of Bitcoin, Ether etc.

How does Tether keep it stable?

Do they release new tokens when there is more demand? Or, do they buy back them when there is less demand?

5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: starting a bitcoin exchange on: April 05, 2018, 12:00:05 AM
You started the thread in Sept 2017. 7 Months in. Have you launched it? Or whats the current status of the project?
6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto exchange with the unique concept on: April 04, 2018, 11:56:37 PM
Playing Devil's advocate here:

I think that there would be growth issues in this model. On paper, it looks doable (and different). But there are some usability changes.

Exchanges are "fast". Auctions are "slow". There is a reason why eBay cant grow (Not exactly the same thing, but you got the point).
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will have a price of $50000 on: April 04, 2018, 01:02:55 PM
If bitcoin will have a price of $50,000, I think it will completely change the economy of the cryptocurrency, and maybe even change the economy of the whole world, because so many people around the world will want to buy bitcoin or some altcoins because after the bitcoin, the price of other coins will also rise.

I agree, but I dont see a reason for it to be $50k. Speculators are good for short term benefit (Nov, Dec, Jan), but not good for the long term growth and confidence in currency. I would prefer it to rather loose volatility. That would be good.

Well, they are over 30K KYC completed already. I don't know if they are scam or not, but recently people have tend to be careless with the amount of KYC they are doing for getting tokens. Hope this goes well.

They are very active in putting their status update. TRading is live now on their platform. 30k KYC is not a big number. It means that 30k users want to trade on their platform. Not everyone will. With 5% trading, that makes it 1500 users trading on the platform. Thats not a bad number to start with (they are just 1 month old).

Its not a good idea to spread the rumors about someone who is trying to do something. Whether they fail or succeed is a different topic.

Note: I am not connected to them or with any exchange in any capacity.
9  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peatio - an open source cryptocurrency exchange project on: April 04, 2018, 11:55:13 AM
We're keeping Peatio alive! We're Peatio.tech and we are keeping it opensource and scaling it! Come see us and our stack at https://peatio.tech

Thats good stuff. Keep up the good work. Any other exchange using peatio?
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: starting a bitcoin exchange on: April 04, 2018, 02:36:14 AM
I am also starting an exchange. We're quite a way through, will probably be finished this month. Drop me a message if you want to share ideas.

Have you launched your exchange? If yes, please share your experience in the thread. Also, if it is launched, then share the link as well.
11  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Ten years have passed, and nobody has figured out a way to use blockchain on: April 04, 2018, 02:07:02 AM
Most of the current 'use cases' are indeed horseshit. I don't think anyone outside of a few nutters cares about decentralised file storage or dog walking ICOs. I'm pretty confident not one single project built on top of the base layers that's around now will be around in five years.

However this very moment today try sending some money from your bank in Denver to a holiday rental in Sumatra and see how long that takes, how much that costs and whether it'll ever bother to arrive. There is so little comparison to Bitcoin it's pitiful and it's genuinely bizarre that it's still considered acceptable in these fast paced times.

As for other applications I think overall we'll see a curve of actual usage very similar to the dotcom bubble. No one'll know what to do with it. They'll drive prices sky high anyway. It'll collapse. Someone will figure out what to do with it and then it'll take over the world.

The most compelling uses probably still haven't been conceived yet.

This is a genuine usecase where Crypto could be useful. But it requires blessings from the Government. Else you could easily be stamped as doing Money Laundering.

What is the process? Will you be giving out a number? If yes, which country is the number for?
13  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: WazirX Bitcoin Exchange India on: April 03, 2018, 12:53:29 AM
Well, they are over 30K KYC completed already. I don't know if they are scam or not, but recently people have tend to be careless with the amount of KYC they are doing for getting tokens. Hope this goes well.

Can you explain this clearly ? You mean to say that people are creating multiple accounts on exchanges with different KYC for tokens ?

No he doesn't mean that..He is talking about people giving personal documents everywhere, including ICOs which have started linking bounties with KYC. This has potential for identity theft as most ICOs tend to be scams these days.

You don't need different KYC for tokens. You can open accounts on all the different exchanges and provide the same KYC everywhere.

Which brings up the question? What makes you think of multiple accounts with different KYC? You are getting confused or are trying to do something scammy.. LOL..That is the typical "Ration card scam" we Indians love so much..Would love to know the thought behind that question??

A website which couldn't even provide its true information while registering the domain

Using a service like domainsbyproxy, makes you look fishy as hell.I won't suggest anyone to sign up on that website.Save your personal details. These guys don't want us to know who they are.

I will never trust an exchange, which is so desperate to hide its identity.I am going to post about this on other scam review websites. So that people can make their own judgement before sending money to you guys.I am also leaving a negative trust here.

Good find. Hope the promoters can either clarify this or more people can see this and save themselves from another scam exchange.

Domain by proxy is owned by Godaddy (which is the largest domain registrar in the world). And this is a very legitimate way of obfuscating the domain owner's personal info. There is nothing illegal or shady in this. Almost every legitimate company does that.

Infact..reverse is true: If there is a user who opens a website (or exchange) and throws his/her personal info on registrar, then that shows that the individual is lax about privacy. That is a red flag. Any person who knows little bit about internet or webhosting knows this.

Please do not malign someone just because they are trying to protect their personal identity by using Godaddy service.

Note: I am not connected to any exchanges...or their founders in any way.
14  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: WazirX Bitcoin Exchange India on: April 03, 2018, 12:41:10 AM
this one is new one in this exchange already added some altcoins but how can i trust on this exchange. this exchange is genuine or anything else. anyone can clarify me.

You have added your altcoins on this exchange without getting full details about the exchange and now you are asking about its genuinity I think this you can now tell much better as you have deposit your altcoins and are you able to trade and how is the trade volume. In india if anyone starting exchange is not possible in legal way as it is not allowed. So leaving the older exchanges other all new exchanges are threat as anytime they can shut down when the law crack on them and find them, that time they will run away. So it is much better to use the old exchanges which are more safe.

Why is it not legal to start an exchange in India? I have not heard of any Government License or Guideline for that. If you know of one..then please share. Else, do not spread rumors. More competition is good for industry. May the best one excel and survive.

Note: I have no connection with any exchanges.

currently i no have gig budjet i need script for start trading website like bittrex i need readymade script
You won't get bittrex clone.
Even if you will setup new exchange platform without initial fund you can't make it popular.
Setting up different nodes of coins for exchange will cost you so much so you can't start exchange with empty pocket.

First find some seed money, buy good script or hire some company to make one for you and than spend few thousand usd on its advertising than only you can make a healthy entry in crypto exchange market.

How much does it take to setup new node for a new coin?
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: i need Bittrex clone setup same like bittrex.com on: March 30, 2018, 07:01:54 AM
Good Luck buddy. PM Me and we can talk. When are you launching the exchange?
18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: i need Bittrex clone setup same like bittrex.com on: March 30, 2018, 02:36:55 AM
Its not easy, but its not that hard either. Someone is doing that. Infact quite a good number of people are doing that.

OP: PM me if you want to discuss more on this.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage: BTC between GDAX and any Indian Exchange on: March 30, 2018, 02:27:37 AM
Thanks Damut. I am not worried about the scams related to exchanges. These are widely well known exchanges.

What concerns me is the possible Money Laundering red flags that the government can bring in.

Think about it: This is a good way to move money (loads of it) from one country to the other (US to India). And make money doing that (quick a good amount).

I am not the only person in the world to have seen it. Why is no one doing it? Or are people doing it?

I doubt if people are doing it widely. Because in that case..the arbitrage will shrink, and it no longer remains the opportunity. Thats how arbitrage works!
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Arbitrage: BTC between GDAX and any Indian Exchange on: March 30, 2018, 12:09:43 AM
Can I buy Bitcoin in GDAX and sell it in any exchange in India? What are the legal issues (if there are any)? How to overcome them?

As of now:

GDAX: BTC: $7088

Koinex: BTC: 510000 INR

USD - INR: $1 = 65 INR

For 1 BTC: 7088 * 65 = INR 461500

That is a difference of almost 50000 INR ($760)

Almost 10% of sale price in Koinex.

This is outside the minor arbitrage range. Even if Koinex puts a fee (0.2%), this is still a big difference.

Am I missing something here?
