LBC Told me there was nothing they can do.. I'm almost 99.9 percent sure I didn't click a phishing link.. Says my account was failed login 22 times yesterday... If he had my password then there wouldn't be 20 failed login across the us something isn't adding up.. Don't wanna bash LBC.. but someone is hacking there shit and they will never admit it.. And I'm out 435 bucks :/
I didn't expect LBC to do anything about this. It's 100% user fault. Imagine if every time you lost your coins and they had to reimburse you; this opens a lot of opportunity for abuse. It only took 20 tries to log in? That's some weaksauce password. It's more likely that the thief already had your PW and tried variations to hit the correct one.

Other / Meta / Re: Normalize Trust display across subforums

I actually disagree. Trust score should only be displayed when relevant, such as any subforum that involves transaction (marketplace) and beginner area where newbs take advantage of newbs. However any subforum that is mainly discussion should not display trust score because that will make people biased, even if it's subconscious. Posts from people in red will carry less weight than the ones in green, which is a bit unfair for these guys, when someone's trust should not be relevant when it comes to a general discussion.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not in support of scammers, but some people are red because only because they had an argument with someone else, not because they actually screwed someone over.

I totally want to buy your 10btc, but today. Can you make this possible?
All 10btc already sold. 5btc just sent to edd in advance. I might still be willing to sell some, but for you I can't send first until I confirm the cash is received.

I have a $50 prepaid visa I will sell for btc. PM me.
Not trying to thread-jack but does this card have a PIN you enter, or is it one of those shitty rebate ones that don't come with PINs? If OP does not take your offer, I might if it's one of those PIN ones.

Awesome! I have yet to experience my first bitcoin ATM. It's nice that this one did not make you privide Drivers License or scan fingerprints. It seems easy enough, although I see the 1 confirmation thing a pretty big turnoff for the mainstream. If people want their cash right away, they will not wait an average of 10 minutes.
The exchange rate seems reasonable enough. Was that 5% fee added on top of the displayed exchange rate?

I should have jerky available by October 5th. Any interest?
I'm interested in some jerky. Any way to make it nitrate-free? These will probably be eaten right away, so no need for preservatives. I personally don't mind the nitrate, but the women here says it's a no no :/

you need 2fa to log in and withdraw coins but not to release from escrow. that is the prerogative 0f the seller/buyer.
Yes, you do need 2FA to release from escrow. At least on my account you need that. I just checked and there was no option to choose when 2FA will be used.

We should always live as if we had only 30 days to live.
In principle, however it doesn't actually work like this. If you only had 30 days to live, you'd sped those 30 days a lot differently than your every other day.

You can also add that pig Mark Krapeleez on the list. IMO that was a bigger hit to the community compared to Pirate's scam. Most average Joe will not know of the Pirate incident, but everyone knows about the downfall of mtgox, even people that aren't even involved with the btc community. I actually still have some of the Pig's PM's from 2011 in my inbox regarding a scam. Such irony.

Ouch, sorry to hear for your loss. Very similar thing happened to me on where scumbag filed a chargeback with his bank, I lost the money and item. What was his reason for the paypal dispute, and why did you give him a partial refund? You need to give all evidence to paypal, they will pass that on to his bank because you have absolutely no way to deal directly with his bank.

Haploid I would've been more careful here. Sounds like a young guy and most young guys have fakes like myself for bars and such. Not saying you'll get screwed but you can also buy an ID photo for $10 on the darkweb. I hope you get paid back here but a lot of redflags signaled by this guy's comments.
Thanks for the warning, I was well aware. I was on the fence about this one, but he gave 2 forms of ID and a mugshot holding his ID. I'm not saying there's not chance of him running, but less likely to do so if his face and name is exposed. 2 other red flags, but I won't list here. I would like to loan 100mBTC to purchase some service. Preferred interest rate of 15% would be nice to start off given my lack of + rating.
Denied. You're already borrowing from someone. Can you give me 0.1 BTC loan for 3 days (after i notify of receipt) ?
Denied. No gambling loans for someone with no trust.

You might have clicked on a phising link a while back and the scammer just waits dormant until you have a large transaction. Why didn't you activate 2FA? It would prevent this kind of stuff. You can even give out your user name and PW, but no one will be able to withdraw unless they have your personal device.
2FA does not work quite that well (at least not all the time). There are always potential ways around 2FA on websites. I would consider it to be reckless if someone is careless about their password simply because 2FA is enabled. 2FA should only be an additional security method, not the only security measure. Yes but I don't think this applies to LBC, which is the case with OP. You need 2FA to log in, withdraw coins, or release coins from escrow. Basically anything that involves movement of coins needs 2FA. To disable the 2FA, you'd have to have access to it in the first place.

I just have a feeling the issue is not that important. Probably about being butt-hurt about something a staff member did.

Then it looks like we won't be able to agree on rates. I looked at your thread, and I definitely can't do -5%. Sorry, I don't trust any newbie exchanges to hold this money btc or money. Money new exchanges go out along with people's money/btc.
