If you talk about CanYa for example, they focus on service by professional companies, such as plumbing, car repair, etc.
If you think about Coinlancer, it is geared towards freelancing for coding projects, etc.

We focus on mini-job type peer-to-peer services, with a special focus on favors in remote locations.
So things that can be completed in a few minutes and are of low monetary value but can be of huge value to the requester.

For example imagine you found a used car in the internet, but it is a 6 hour drive to go check it out.
With Coins4Favors you can hire someone (for example a car mechanic) in the city where the car is offered to go and take pictures, or check it's condition, etc.
Payment is done via Favorcoins in an escrow module, so both parties can be sure the transaction is paid for.

Another example: You saw something you wanted to buy in a store during your shopping trip but could not quite decide.
Two days later you still think about it and decide you want to buy but don't know if the item is still there as they only had one in stock in our size. We will only use crypto. The issue with FIAT is that if the favor is small and remote, the overhead to arrange for a payment in FIAT is killing the transaction. We are focussing on peer to peer mini jobs, so the person doing the favor likely will not be able to accept credit card payments, etc.
If a mini-job is $5 (e.g. take a real picture of the vacation house in Greece for me before I rent it or can someone send me a picture of the menu of that restaurant xyz in Paris, etc), you don't want to wait for days to receive the wired amount, worse so in another currency and with wiring fees of $10.

Also with FIAT you have no guarantee that you get paid. C4F has an escrow function, so once the deal is agreed by requester and provider, the coins are locked already. If there should be disagreement, an independent juror system will decide which fraction of the coins is returned and which fraction is forwarded to the provider based on their both input into the arbitration.

Cryptos enable this kind of peer to peer global marketplace and FIAT has had limitations which made it impossible to implement for small jobs.

As a serious long term sustainability oriented project, we do a KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti money laundering) process prior to our Pre-ICO and ICO to comply with existing regulations.

Once you are verified and have accepted the terms and conditions of the ICO, you (or better said the sending wallet address you specify when providing the account information) will be added to the whitelist of our C4F smart contract. Only whitelisted addresses can send ether contributions, other sending wallets will bounce.

The process starts with submitting your email on our page, which indicates you are interested in contributing to our project. This is what we reward here, as it helps us to improve our marketing campaigns (where do people come from, how do they find us, etc)

You will receive a confirmation email where you click a link to verify your email is correct (otherwise you would not receive the confirmation link).

Yes, we have been thinking about turning our alpha version which is basically just a proof of concept (which we setup to convince ourselves it can be done before investing) into something that could serve as beta.
Airbnb makes a $4 billion revenue on just peer-to-peer room rentals, Uber makes $30 billion revenue on just peer-to-peer driving service, so having a cryptocurrency powered marketplace for just about every kind of peer-to-peer service is a huge potential for sure.
We’ll see how things go for the pre-sale whitelisting, so far response is quite positive, but a beta sure would convince those who despite public profiles of the team and a great idea still are not 100% convinced.
Biggest hurdle seems to be to get visibility these days with literally thousands of ICOs popping up, but mostly the 100th copy of an existing project. Here we are unique, wish us success
