Getting bodies in the seats will get more bodies in the seats, but how?

Yeah, that's always the key problem.  You need people playing in order to get people to play.

As well as getting people to play, you need to stop scaring them off.

I was at a full 9-seat ring game earlier. Something weird happened, and one-by-one over half the players started showing up as "disconnected". I found myself sat out with "wait for big blind" auto-checked. Half the table sat out, a few people left their seats, and the game fell apart.

It's critical to iron out whatever is causing these random disconnections because nobody wants to have their hand ruined by technical troubles.

+1 no one wants the technical issues.

Tonight ST7 implemented a fix for the software issue causing the disconnections.  We are still very young, and we'll fix every issue over time.  I have no issue stating that this may happen again before it's fully put to bed, because I feel being open and honest with players is why many players like SwC.  If there is ever equity loss in a technical error I promise to make it right.

What do you think are the biggest issues with SwC Poker right now?

[we know you want the mac / linux / android clients.  I'm looking for game issues, general things you'd like to see, maybe something you are missing from Seals that you feel belongs on SwC]

Maybe one thing for me would be the ability to withdraw less than 0.02 BTC and instant withdrawals.
0.02 is not a suitable limit for microstake players. it feels like being told, either lose all your BTC on the site, or try and make 10x the amount you are depositing.

.02 is still a relatively small amount of value, and was implemented on Seals to prevent "transaction attacks" in that if we lowered the withdraw amount to a satoshi, one could make many small withdraws to make us incur transaction fees and make many bitcoin network transactions.

SwC will be a proper home for micro-stakes players.  As you can tell, I've left on "no rake microstakes" as I believe it's proper to forgo the small income a site can rake on the absolute lowest limits & offer the players a no-fee, micro-buy-in test of new games.

the withdraw minimum may be lowered in the future, but right now we are too busy improving other areas of the site to look at it today.

How long does it take for a withdrawal to be processed?

It may take up to 12 hours, but we've been running pretty quick on them recently, maybe averaging 2-3 hours for cashouts.

when can we expect Mac client?

o/u 6 weeks

are the krillrolls for players with many krill back?
or will they be coming back at all?

krillrolls are coming back, give us at least another week, maybe 2 to settle the MTT schedule and populate the krillrolls.

OFC/p table "Dre AA" says KK+ when you open it.

I was looking over hand histories thinking I lost my mind, because I didn't remember playing on an AA table last night.  Huh

I've been combing the tables looking for this.  If you ever find similar errors:  glitch@swcpoker.eu

BLATANT ERROR discovered in 5-card Omaha8 engine !

Yeah, looks that way.

I played the 5-chip freeroll badeucy game earlier. I didn't know the rules but it was free so I figured I'll learn as I went.

One of the first showdowns I saw had one of the players only turn over 4 cards (3 different suits), not 5. I figured that meant that only 4 of his 5 cards played or something, but when I clicked 'history' it showed all 5 of his cards, and the right-most one (which wasn't shown at the table) was of the 4th suit, making him a 4-card badugi. So I guess it's just a display bug and I've not seen it since. But sometimes only 4 of the 5 cards are shown at showdown...

And I'm still not having any luck with emailing support. They're telling me now that they have no record of an account with my email address, but when I tried to make a new one with the same email address it told me that there was already an account with that address. I told them that but they didn't reply.

dooglus the support team is a bit overwhelmed still.

you can pgp me to micon@swcpoker.eu and I'll help you personally recover your account.  The great Dooglus is not to be without proper krill. Yes the draw games still have a few display bugs that show up very rarely.  They are tough to debug but we will debug them to death until the bugs are dead.

We're taking a look at the Big O bug.

we're going to rip them down for now.
174  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 06, 2015, 04:01:07 PM
1)  The windows .exe is all we have now.  IMO keep waiting and we'll have a linux version.  I'd love for the future to include the ability to use an API and build your own, but that's looking a bit too far in the future IMO.

2) Droid version should be 4-8 weeks away.  That may help the non-Windows crowd at bit.  Mac & Linux, we all want 'em ASAP, but given the circumstances 2 months wouldn't be terrible.

176  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 06, 2015, 11:27:48 AM
1)  Windows is all we have today, but mac / linux / android on the way.  This is the facts and I'm sorry if some have to wait.  SwC's launch was not an ideal setting.

2) Stud games will be fixed soon

3) planned restart in ~1 hr.   Shouldn't be down too long, but you know there is always variance here.
177  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 06, 2015, 04:03:34 AM
Thanks man. I have updated it several times over the past week or so.  Still says no registered e-mail for this account.  I know you are only getting updates on the e-mail addresses every few days or whatever, but I have seen every other person get their account restored while I wait.  I know it will happen, and I can still access SWC on another account, so I am alive, but I don't feel alive.  I am going to go make a new e-mail address now, and add/update that one to it on the old site.

I have 3 accounts i was told to email update i did when i tried to retrive them said no such account. They don't have much krill in them so no worries there.

such a massive amount of the userbase reported no issues with updating a different email to each account.  the 2+2 thread is littered with players saying it was successful.

just make sure it's a different email account than you used ever on Seals and you will be good.  Seals continues to ship us new data so please go and do this.

obv cash out your SealsWithClubs balances and please, tell anyone you know that ever played to do the same.

Is there a list of royalties and an explanation for sidepots (for lack of a better term) in ofc/p tournaments.

On this note, if you click help -> how to play (web) in the client you get a dead webpage. It's been fun so far.

this page is so badly needed it's stupid.

Every time I go to pick it up the site flickers connectivity or something major.

I'm going to do it now and at least get something basic up there to explain the "Action on your money once" and the order of settlement for table stakes / busting an MTT.

also, OFC/p MTTs are the shit.

Cardroom manager Glitch just put up a yummy MTT menu for the next few days.

highlights:

-- peppered with 5 chip freerolls in many different disciplines as well as the good 'ole 2 card holdy
-- the 'ole 20 Chip 1k GTD! will take the name of the "little BTC" and be 25 chips to get in and 1k GTD'd
-- this Sunday we'll do a "Medium BTC" 100 chip / 4k GTD.  We're not quite ready for the BIG BTC but we will be soon.
-- light daily menu to persist each day, we'll start to fill this out over time, but note I have asked Glitch to go slow.

all feedback welcome.
