um also leaving seals so many problems there multiple accounts & scam  listening more about betcoin poker club i would join there soon !

Hello 8-post count user!

Can you cite any specific evidence of this?

322  Economy / Gambling / Re: Your favourite BTC poker site? on: October 19, 2014, 01:35:02 AM
1)  We are updating everything, clients included.  Look for a much better SwC in the coming months
2)  What does that mean "Can't cash out through it?" you mean you cannot cash out through the client, but instead have to log into your "my account" area to cash out?  this is a big deal breaker?  (trying to understand for future versions)

IMO as a player, the multi-year consistency of the SwC would be most attractive to me.  The parts that I don't like as a player, such as connectivity issues and lack of OFC / mix games, are coming sooner than you'd think.

325  Economy / Gambling / Re: Secondstrade.com - Binary Options- | 180% Rewards | Many Time Frames(1~720min)| on: October 08, 2014, 05:37:03 AM
1)  sites like these interest me - binary options work well w/bitcoin, and if a good actor site decides to take a small rake, that economy is sustainable IMO.
2)  now you have a guy who can bear-wall the bitstamp price with $4M, if these sites ever get critical mass then wow imagine the no-limit market manipulation possibilities!  It's really all-out financial warfare...

Exactly how the price is calculated is really key for these:  today we have bitstamp, but remember when CNBC pegged their little bitcoin ticker to MtGox?  yeah, that wasn't a great idea.  And anyone old school remembers how much we relied on Gox for the price of btc.  Let's not make that mistake again IMO.  So like, how do you *really* make sure to settle these options if exchanges go down?

3) We have seen sites like betsofbetco.in make a really terrible decision for big coins then poof, all of your trust lost and your players scatter because we instantly know you are a bad actor, and bitcointalk/gambling does not forgive nor forget Smiley

happy optioning!  glglglglgl
326  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 07, 2014, 04:22:23 PM
Fast cashouts? That's a joke to me, mine took 12 hours.
This has been the topic title since 2012. I am not sure if you play on any fiat poker site, but 12 hours is incredible fast compared to them.

Since the up-rise of off-chain dice sites and other bitcoin gambling sites (after 2012) "instant withdrawals" seems normal though at many bitcoin gambling sites.

Seals chooses security (manually checking withdrawals) over these fast withdrawals though. Generally my withdrawals are faster than 12h though btw.

Yeah.  Compared to fiat poker sites 12 hours is instant.

As a US player on fiat poker sites you might get one free check withdrawal per month.  After that you have to pay, around $50+.

In order to get a withdrawal you will have to give them copies of your ID, credit card, and bank statement.

Then you have to wait for the check in the mail, somewhere between days and weeks.

Then you have to deposit your foreign check inside the bank, and hope that the teller doesn't send it to collections... meaning weeks more waiting and another fee.

Even if the teller accepts the check and credits your account you have to hope the processor's account isn't frozen and your check doesn't end up bouncing.

And that all assumes the site actually has your money and is processing withdrawals... see Lock Poker.

So... unlimited, anonymous, free, irreversible withdrawals delivered in under 12 hours is amazing for the poker world.

I can understand 12 hours seems slow to people used to bitcoin gambling.

Maybe the new bitcoin poker sites will make instant withdrawals work... but Seals has a proven record.  They've been around for years and haven't had funds stolen.

I'll gladly take up to 12 hours to have withdrawals manually processed than to get Goxxed and have a site say "whoops, we lost your money".

^this

Obviously written by a poker player that has dealt with multiple sites over the years.

After a meeting with ST6, I'm confident Q1 2015 is going to bring many of the new features we often discuss here.   I know I said the same shit last year, but this time I mean it.

Traffic at seals has dropped significantly in the past several months? What the explaination? There aren't any other cash rooms to speak of. It is the collusion? The price of bitcoin dropping?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks

Probably mainly the collusion and the fact that it is actively endorsed by Micon.

You'd have to be an idiot to play at a site that allows people from the same IP address to play at multiple tables together, or anybody to play at multiple tables together for that matter.

Its your money. If you're a fool, by all means, let SwC part it from you. Don't let me or common sense try to stop you.

Another collusion post with no proof.  This time with an easily disprovable accusation of being able to play on the same cash game from the same IP.

Hey Micon, I was wondering, is there any way to get some SwC stickers for my laptop? I go to a pretty tech-y school, and am a CS major, so I'm around a lot of smart people looking to make money somehow (and most know of bitcoin). I figure it would be a good conversation starter. Also, is there any way to get a hat for local games/when I go to SD casinos for $1/$2? Really appreciate it if its possible Smiley. If not I completely understand.

hit me with an addy via PM i get you some swag.

also if i promised swag to others and forgot remind me now
329  Economy / Gambling / Re: SUNDAYS: The "BIG BTC" ♣ Largest Weekly Bitcoin Poker Tourney ♣ 10 bitcoin guar on: October 05, 2014, 09:28:10 PM
No matter what the value of bitcoin is, each and every week SwC runs a:

BIG BTC

0.25 btc buy in
Every Sunday Since 2011

*No Late Reg (yet)*
*DON'T GET SHUT OUT - REGISTER IMMEDIATELY*

Then get in there and fire.

330  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 05, 2014, 09:25:12 PM
There is a BIG BTC coming in ~35 minutes or so

10 bitcoins guaranteed (no matter how much value they hold)

EACH AND EVERY WEEK!

also, we are rolling out our new tournament format with a Sunday 25 chip HU Shootout that I have been playing each weekend.  It's pretty cool / check out a small upgrade which paves the path for bigger ones.

331  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 04, 2014, 05:59:07 AM
SwC actively monitors for collusion.

Every now and then a few posters make broad statements on forums like "collusion is everywhere" yet give no specifics.

If you suspect players(s) are colluding, post it publicly or email support@sealswithclubs.eu.  We actively police the games and have for years.  It is one of our primary jobs as a bitcoin poker site.

It seems baseless to accuse collusion without an HH or usernames.
332  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] BFL Coffee Mug on: October 03, 2014, 10:05:31 PM
He lacks empathy as 3% of the population does.

+1.  The directors of BFL and their mouthpiece Josh are all in the small subset of humanity that doesn't feel that "wow, I just did wrong.  That sucks.  I should fix it."

We all have done wrong before, and 97% of us feel bad after.  3% just don't.  They think of the scam as +1 money for me, -1 money for someone that's not me, so I win and that's great.

This is why I will enjoy watching the company die and the directors get fucked by various 3-letter organs of the USA.

To treat skeptics like this:

http://youtu.be/UlWrmIqGs3Y?t=2m32s

is one thing.  To print foam pitchforks to mock harmed, paying customers is something far beyond.  I wish Josh, Sonny, Jody, the Iranian-Frog, all of them nothing but stress and financial harm.  I hope their freedom is taken so they can no longer prey on the bitcoin community.
333  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 02, 2014, 08:49:50 PM

Micon face it, seals is becoming OBSOLETE. Two years ago I learned of bitcoin, and at same time you all kept saying huge series, satellites all that are coming. Its been two years. And what do we have? Nada. Zilch, zero. Betcoin has replaced you and others are doing the same. Instead of marketing "they are coming" from a brand perspective and marketing person myself, you should focus on customer loyalty and market that seals is where all the players go, stop throwing empty promises because all you're doing is pissing off customers.

Your criticism has elements of truth and elements of sensationalism.

1)  SwC is still, by far, the largest bitcoin poker site.  No bitcoin online poker site is close to us right now.  Describing us as all-caps OBSOLETE is easily disproven here: http://www.pokerscout.com/SiteDetail.aspx?site=SealswithClubs&ab=34775634
2)  SwC is in need of many features.  Both ST6 & myself are in agreement on this point, and it is quite valid.
3)  The promises I make are not empty.  They are the legitimate development path we are on.  The human brainpower behind SwC is overworked, and the security of our player's bitcoins is our first and foremost priority.  This takes precedence over all feature implementations.  Because of this, we go very slow.
4)  Fully agree on customer loyalty focus.  I think players forget how much equity we dish out each and every week in Table Starter Rakeback, Krill-based rakeback, and the totally free coins added by SwC into the many krillrolls that run regularly.

I enjoy dreaming about the future of SwC.  We are all quite lucky to have brilliant software engineers implementing our shared dreams for a better SwC.  The pace is slower than all us want.  I implore you to play our current menu of games while our team builds the nasty.
334  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 02, 2014, 06:26:55 PM
How about adding the note taking part ?
That's a huge pain not to have them, while it's pretty simple to implement.

1)  some things that may seem "simple" from the outside may take us longer than you would think.  Version-ing a client?  Hard.

2)  That being said many features are being worked on.  We are planning to drop the nasty on you guys.  We all want it.  We are working hard towards it.

For those that are always asking "where da freeroll at?"

remember each and every Wednesday I rock the mic on my DonkDown podcast starting around 7pm PST and then about a half hr later I drop 400 coins on anyone who wishes to take part in the massive DonkDown freeroll!

biggest MTT we run each week by # of players.  Pretty cool to see everyone show up for it, and if you are looking to test drive the software, why not play for real chips?

337  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: October 01, 2014, 11:22:05 PM
I would really like to see satellites tournament to gain access to biggest ones such as big btc so that people who can't' afford an expensive buy in have their chance to hit big money.

Any chance it will happen?

If I had to guess when SwC is getting satty tourneys it would be early 2015.  But I don't like throwing out dates anymore.

I just met with ST6, we are trying hard to bring new games and the much-needed features like satties / timed break MTTs / late registration / mix games / OFC to you guys.

We know what our players want, and we are working hard towards that end.  We go slow because we are a small, security-focused team.

Im waiting for a massive tournament - more then 200 players.
Lets arrange one.

We get >300 players for the Wednesday DonkDown freeroll, and our biggest tournament that requires a buy-in is coming up soon - our 10 Chip 1k GTD! frequently gets into the 70's.

I'm with you though - Pretty soon it will be time to run a "series" and make a really big special tournament.

Apologies  for the krill roll popping off late.  Anyone who was sitting out after 15 minutes was refunded the 23 chip chop equity.
