Hi, I tried out your miner and I like it.

Do you only plan to support timing mod for RX series?
What about older R9 series, no support planned for those?
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.4.9 on: April 30, 2018, 12:15:45 PM
This miner is a fork of xmr-stak which is GPL. As long as the author is not providing the source code it is a GPL license violation.

PLEASE do not use this miner until doktor83 is providing the source code

Proof?

Could anyone share their config settings for R9 290 and 290x cards? and also clocks and volts?

I am getting HW errors in miner with 290x with almost stock memory clocks. HWInfo doesn't show any memory errors for the card. When I lower the intensity they seem to go away but the hashrate also suffers greatly. At the moment it is running at 47 intensity with 2 threads.

Are these memory errors bad in any way? The shares seem to be accepted but the pool shows much lower hashrate than miner.

did you try kernel 2,3 or 4 ?
you put "kernel" : number in gpu_conf

and yes, hw errors are bad if you have a lot. It means your gpu computed wrong result.

No I haven't tried with different kernels, although they are GCN cards, but will try it out, thanks!

How much is a lot? I get about 17 errors per hour.

Can anyone comment how much hashrate they have gotten from R9 290 or 290X with SRB?
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.4.2 on: April 15, 2018, 07:53:40 PM
V1.4.2
- Small speedup on R9 380 cards

Can confirm, thanks!  Grin

@RaidoP2, what is the hashrate you are doing on RX380 and at what intensity and setings in config.txt?
Thanks.

With this version I'm running 37.6 intensity with double threads on my 380 and 380x cards. I have memory overclocked to 1600mhz and core underclocked to 850mhz, doing ~650h/s for 380x and ~600h/s for 380. This is for regular v7.

Probably could get some more out of them but I don't have time to tinker with it right now.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Fork in one day.. hash rate drop predictions ? on: April 12, 2018, 03:21:51 PM
After kick the ASIC out, at least the profit per AMD GPU increase as ETH.

I think the hast rate will stable to a level let the profit per AMD GPU keep th same as ETH, even a bit higher.
(Because there are some Ethash ASIC.)

https://www.difficultychart.com/monero

still going up. ETH>XMR for profit now.

Other cryptonight (lite / V7 / Heavy) tokens can be much more profitable than ETH depending when you sell / exchange the tokens. As I am writing right now, turtlecoin is 50% more profitable than ETH (5,6$/day with 2500H/s).

TRTL global hashrate is quite small and it can fluctuate quite a bit. So probably your real life daily earnings will be much less that 5.6$. But it could make sense in the longer run.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.1 on: April 12, 2018, 03:03:03 PM
Hello
I'm using 2 old RADEON 6950 on 2 different computer. It's the 1st miner could hash from the Monero V7 fork and I'm happy to discover this miner!  Smiley

I have a hashrate problem, I can't reach better than 145 H / s. Before the Fork I was doing 350 H / s with this card with other miner.

I've tried the automatic intensity, and a lot of between 0 - 300 i've got the max with intensity 15
Is this card compatible with this miner ? Already it is stable and there is HASHRATE. Which is not the case with any other minor i've tried ...

I hope you could help me with my 2 old radeon card.

I'm Using Windows 8.1 X64
The last WHQL Driver for this card "15.7.1"

There is some recommendation about the driver revision or other tips to Hash more with that card ?

Thank you for your work

@doktor83

I quoted myself

Any idea about this card ?

The blockchain driver did'nt work and the laster beta drivers didn't work too.
So only the WHQL 15.7.1 driver works at low hasrate.

Since the hard fork claymore doesn't support older card than 6xxx, i think u have a lot of old miner could be interested by your miner, i saw same problem on other forum as mine with this  6xxx card can't hash, SRB Miner is the only one could hash with my card.

I hope you could help me.

The blockchain and latest drivers won't work with this card because it is a pre-GCN card. Probably need custom timings in BIOS and overclock memory to get better hashrate.

Ok and what about the hasrate 350 before hard fork ==> 145h/s after ? Sad
I know it's a very oldcard, but 700h/s on two card was prety good for those grandma  Grin

i'm at the maximum OC AMD Override let me put : Gpu 800@840 Memory  1250@1350, Memory speed didn't impact the hashrate. It's seems the miner didn't take all the GPU "powerfull"

Which miner did you use previously? Probably better optimized kernel or something to give better hashrate. SRB probably isn't optimized for older cards, maybe try with XMR-STAK?

Hey! If somebody want to start mine ITNS. We run a new website for that. We have about 3MH/s hash power to sell for ITNS mining. You can try it. For free is about 15GH/s for 24 hours and after that you must buy it. http://itns.czechian.net/

15GH/s for 24 hours for free? wooow.

Just a little info for you:
1 MH/s is 1,000,000 hashes per second.
1 GH/s is 1,000,000,000 hashes per second.

These are some ASICs I presume? Pretty impressive hashrate  Grin
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal showing weak hands, congratz to our community! on: April 12, 2018, 08:31:51 AM
At this price it's a good deal. You can mine ETN $83/day so it's a one month ROI. ETN will fork only this summer. And later will be XMC and XMO that will stay ASICs friendly

I think XMC and XMO will not survive in the long term. They are just there to help sell ASIC.

If Baikal and Bitmain start taking payments for their ASICs in XMC or XMO that would probably prolong their existance for a while at least.

If it isn't too much trouble could you make the miner show total average hashrate from the time the miner was started? At the moment it only shows max and average for last 5 minutes when you press "s".

Is anyone mining SUMOKOIN with this miner? I cannot setup this miner for this algo and I am sure I read it support also cryptonight heavy? When I start the miner, after the authentication, I start receiving red messages - cannot allocate or something like that, can't remember now correctly.

Did you change cryptonight type to HEAVY in config file? It can not auto-detect the version.

Well I just wrote HEAVY into the config file and changed ofc the pool address and wallet address, but still nada. Should I type in cryptonight-heavy or something similar to it? What are your settings if you are mining it ? Did you leave intensity to 0 or you have set a specific number? I am running 5xrx580 Nitro+ SE.

Maybe start with copying the exact error you are getting and you config file. I'm mining v7 with 380 cards. You can try to leave the intensity 0 or check what others are using with similar cards in previous pages.

After much fiddling I finally got better hashrates out of 380 and 380x cards.

around 600h/s for 380 with intensity 38, worksize 8, double threads
around 640h/s for 380x with intensity 38.5, worksize 8, double threads

Hope it helps someone and thanks again doktor!  Smiley
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.1 on: April 09, 2018, 04:46:44 PM
V1.3.1
- 'gpu_conf' is now a little more advanced , added worksize and threads option, for more fine tuning
- Intensity now goes from 0-300 , because on Lite and LiteV7 some cards can go more than 200
- Changed color scheme a little bit
- Some optimisations for Hawaii cards (290, 290x, 390, 390x), set intensity to 0 and double_threads to true, or play with manual settings in the 'gpu_conf' part

Note:
You can still use the old config style for 'gpu_conf' i f you want (id, intensity, double_threads). If mixing double_threads and threads, threads will win and be accepted  Grin

Nice, will check it out after work.

Any optimization for 380 and 380x cards?

nothing yet, maybe try :

{ "id" : 0, "intensity" : 32, "worksize" : 8, "threads" : 2}

Thanks for the suggestion! Tried it but still around 550h/s. Will try to play around with it some more.

Can you elaborate a bit more on the worksize and intensity relationship? Does the intensity have to be devisable by worksize or how does worksize affect hashing exactly?

@OhGodAGirl ... OhGodAFork  Shocked  ... update the sgminer, please  Wink .

Wrong thread.

Also, they are working on it already.

Also, i will be putting up for sale an Elpida strap for Cryptonight.

1070h/s on a RX 580 at 1380/1950.
Maybe a bit more of tweaking and testing before that.
Don't become the next Matttev or whatever he's naming himself...I see a lot of potential in you, don't disappoint me with selling timings for peanuts.

Well, if you put up a lot of time in something, and you are good in it... There is no reason not to do it. Plus, its not like i am swimming in money Smiley

Dude, you're better than that.

Make sure you sell for peanuts AND a bag of crisps.

Well that makes about 10$, right?  Grin

Maybe I need to buy it also, I tried to create my own custom straps with catastrophic results.  Cheesy

Hey, as long as you didn't had to scrape off plastic from the computer case, its all fine and dandy!

Anyway, just to kick in for people who don't know: the Cryptonight v6 straps work 99.9% the same way on v7. Maybe 1-2h/s.

Great, any hints what to change in timings when coming from ETH to XMR?
