661  Economy / Gambling / Re: Mining is getting me nowhere, what about poker? on: March 10, 2014, 06:56:34 PM
throwing hard earned funds into something that has a number one rule of "the house always wins"....
... well i dont need to explain much more do i?

The house always wins... When your playing a game that uses the house.
Poker is head to head no house involvement. Unless he;s playing against the dealer which I don't think was his idea.

Poker is a great way to earn some extra BTC, or cash.
People do make a living off playing, and those are the ones you need to lookout for.
Watch for bad beats as well.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5194 - How to set up secure bitcoin savings account in 14 easy steps on: March 10, 2014, 06:31:06 PM
I'm a btc newbie, trying to find an entry into all this knowledge. I'm a software engineer with decades of experience in many fields. That said I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed on this forum and am looking for some basic help.

In reading the "New to Bitcoin, Start Here!" sticky I clicked on the link for the question "How can I store bitcoins securely?" and wasn't able to find the actual 14 steps of the post's title, only the comments about it. Why is that? I went to the first and last pages but no luck. What am I missing, why is that so confusing? Did Vladimir create a "red herring" title to frustrate newbies like me?
Personally have never looked at that post, and wont now Tongue

Just check the BTC wiki for this kind of info;

Welp....
Summers a coming. If you're around the louisiana area come cut the weeds at the back of my pond. .25 btc. Lol

the funny thing is that i would! lol but nope not in the Louisiana area! il fly there if you pay the fares lol
Not only you, wish I could live in the States if you guys pay that good Cheesy Where I live people work their asses off for a week to get 0.25BTC.

OP, try the services section, sometimes you can find good offers there. Hope you'll get your gear soon.

thanks il take a look!

Honestly your best bet is to take $400 and buy the remaining BTC.

But if you're set on doing it pure-BTC style, maybe someone wants to pay you to design some graphics for a webpage?  I think the shitcoins sometimes pay for people to make a coin logo for them.
im a teenager lol cant just make 400 bucks appear lol if i did i sure would have a lot of bitcoin! haha but thats a great idea! thanks!
Yes you can..Sell drugs Shh i didnt say that. Live in California? Start a shop.

but seriously if your good at poker give it a shot. Another alternative is to write articles for BTC. Ill try and find the website n edit this post!
Cheers,

No action  Sad

Can we arrange a day and time to fill a table or two? Maybe discuss CSC while we are playing?

Sunday 12.00 16.00 or 20.00 GMT is good for me  Wink
We can arrange something! 5 Hour time diff from est.

Its hard to find players currently, but I am confident in the future we will be able to increase our player base.
Things were rushed, but they had to in case another platform had come out. Marketing was put aside, but is now a top priority. I'm currently working on making flyers, banners, and adding bonus codes to the website. As well changing the theme to make it more appealing.
Although there are scheduled games with around 3-8 people midnights EST

OSX wallet will be uploaded to casinocoin.org tonight as well for anyone who needs.

Photo Shopped Picture - User should be banned.

You self moderating scamming piece of shit, fuck you for deleting my scam alert.

Looks like the QR & Bitcoin logo are photoshoped into this image. And the fact that the OP has 0 post history leads me to believe this is another scam, so...

WARNING: SCAM ALERT!!!

Here's the same image with different message I found. This image is from 2012!!!

OP keeps deleting scam alert on self moderated topic. (Not ZeroBarrier)

Why wouldn't it be true?  Fatty got caught eating from the cookie jar.  He obviously has known SN's identity for years now.  They are both from Japan.  Now they both mine Trollcoins with 50K blocks.  Discuss.

674  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hiring A Developer to build worldclass IRC bot on: March 07, 2014, 08:50:56 PM
I am currently looking for 1-2 developers to build a worldclass IRC bot for a cryptocurrency channel.

The bot will at least be able to do the following, but will want to add features in the future, so flexibility will be important.

Display average price and volume of the coin based on webpage API's.

Display hashrate and difficulty of the coin based on the blockchain.

Display simple calculations of how many coins you could mine and at current diff and how much that would be etc.

More features will want to be added, but these are a good start.

I will hire based on qualifications and price value.

Please respond if you are interested.

Will pay in USD or Crypto of your choice.

If you're gonna make up an online handle (screenname) that is going to become associated (or synonymous) with something as big as Bitcoin
at least be a little fucking creative and not use the name of a real guy who just happens to fit your profile and characteristics...

What did you want him to use ?
sdfqdwihbf3q48y8r34r3q8r8f9e89q3bkfgq34ifg3q84f ....

There are numerous people named Satoshi Nakamoto.

If you're smart, name at least one..

Ok.. Satoshi Nakamoto
