1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: April 06, 2019, 04:51:36 PM
Told you so.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I wonder - are there ppl here who bought BTC when it was 19k ? on: March 08, 2019, 11:01:10 PM
The way markets work is that every price on the chart represents a trade, which means there were 1 buyer and 1 seller who made a trade. There is the exact same number of buyers as sellers at every single point in a chart. Duh ....

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING - Coinomi Wallet CRITICAL Vulnerability Made Me Lose My Life Savings on: February 27, 2019, 11:57:49 PM
I thought the Bitcoinist article about you said they gave you funds eventually and a 'bug-finding' bounty. Is that not true?
4  Economy / Speculation / Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: February 23, 2019, 10:29:43 PM

Money is flowing in. It looks like we've found the bottom. Is crypto winter over?

Great interview - thank you! I really like these guys!

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Predicts The Exact Date Of Bitcoin Reaching $1,000,000 on: February 22, 2019, 05:45:09 PM
If the SEC approves the ETF on the 45-day decision docket, since 500-1000x the current market capital is waiting to be invested by the investment community, that is, if they truly bite even after getting the green light, then it is possible. So if the ETF approved, then a slim 'maybe', but if the ETF is denied it would be absolutely impossible to reach by New Year's Day 2020.

I'm very interested in his crazy bet, both whether it will be true, and how he will handle it if it's not true.

No
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Giant Bitmain Posts $500 Million Loss in IPO Financial Filing on: February 21, 2019, 07:46:35 PM
They are responsible for the wounding of crypto in many ways. I doubt their death would be mourned.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Technical analysis is a another form of manipulation. Here is everything I know, on: February 21, 2019, 05:39:57 PM
Might as well say water is wet. Also, tall people are longer than average.

TA has always tried to un-martingale a martingale - it's always been a joke. And crypto is obviously a grossly manipulated market. Of course, so is the Chinese stock market, and yet some people make money.

The small investor can only make money realizing he's small, accepting it. You're not going to out-HFT the big boys, and even if TA could work (which it can't mathematically - prices are a martingale), you would not be able to read the tea leaves faster and act on them faster than the big boys. You have to have a more realistic investment plan. And anything over 3-5% per annum would be really, really good for a small investor - don't be delusional.

I don't understand what the motivation for you posting this would be. Either educated investors agree with you, so it's a waste of time, or, you're talking to idiots who just get angry when you try to correct. So what's the point? I would imagine the only reason would be you venting about the ridiculous manipulation when you hoped-for/expected less?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam?? on: February 21, 2019, 05:30:41 PM
Obvious scam. All cloud mining are scams. Especially from some random dude on social media. Move everything you have no to a new paper wallet and give the key to no one ever.

There are no get rich quick schemes - believing in them is the vulnerability scammers need to access you.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to your hats: We’re moving up yet another Bitcoin flagpole on: February 21, 2019, 05:28:09 PM
You fell for the bull-trap - again!

JPM has told you what price he's going to manipulate the market to: $2400. Since he has access to 300 times the capital of all crypto together, I'm pretty sure he's right on his ability to do whatever he wants.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN GLORIOUS DAYS MIGHT JUST BE HERE on: February 11, 2019, 04:52:43 PM
China is collapsing faster than America. America's economic growth is the highest in the world right now. China can't hold 2% growth without lying.

But more accurately, the world economy is collapsing because fiat is flawed currency from the nationalistic early 1900s era. I think bitcoin will dominate, but it appears with Baakt etc that WallStreet fully intends to own the future.
14  Economy / Services / Re: Dentist accepting bitcoins (or other cryptocurrencies) on: February 11, 2019, 04:49:32 PM
Healthcare provider here. Just use BitPay or Coinbase Merchant. They both convert right away into fiat. I've been doing this since 2011 - I can count on one hand the number of times it's been used, and I've always lived in the biggest, tech-savvy, progressive, young cities. It's not likely to affect your practice at all, however since it's just another payment link/option, it doesn't negatively affect your practice in any way. It does make taxes on your schedule C (or S-corp LLC) far more complicated - I use CrytpTrader.tax - it's very effective and audit-proof. You have to file 8949s for any and all 1099-Ks you get.

Thank you very much, very appreciated. May i ask you, if you sell some of your service online?

Yes, the patients can pay their copays through a patient portal. I have debit/credit, PayPal, e-check, and crypto possibilities. Venmo and Paypal get way more use among millennials. Even though no one uses crypto really, it does seem to give the aura of "hipness" and cutting-edge tech, which is useful as advertising. I've have had some older people (fox news types) refuse to see me because of crypto's scammy reputation, but with my native personality and edgy political/economic ideas, I'm sure it would have been a bad fit anyway. But taking crypto is definitely a two-edged sword in medical practice, much like advertising.

The thing is crypto is going to sink back to its true value. It definitely has a future, but more like a 5-year to 10-year span. I sold out my first wave of bitcoin at $1000. I think that's its true value now. I think we're going to sink to the 2000s at least in the near future. I would leave like 10-20K each on 10 different exchanges (not too much at one exchange because a loss is very likely at an exchange) to buy back in at around 2k, maybe even with limit orders. If it never rebounds just take your money back in two years. I wouldn't leave anything in crypto holdings now because you'll lose capital.

I feel that taking crypto is the best way to move it forward. This is dot com all over again. I made good money off the future FANG same way at the end of the 90s. Just because something's true (like crypto) doesn't mean everyone sees it yet - markets are moved by the masses, not individuals. Patience and precision are key.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain in simple words what's the SEC and why we need it? on: February 10, 2019, 06:08:47 PM
I hear so much about the SEC in the last few weeks. Can anyone explain what's so important about this decision. why it's good for the market, and why we get rejected?

the SEC is a pseudostatist organ of the private american banking cartel that runs it in order to fake an altruistic legitimacy,

it is not statist or public as the united states is not a communist society it is simply a private lobby organization created to represent the regulatory interests of the american banking cartel.

the american banking cartel is selfregulated and runs basically the united states.

regards

Nailed it!
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the most nonsensical invention in human history on: February 10, 2019, 06:06:25 PM
Well, now it is. The inception of derivatives and other financial products built on cryptocurrencies took away one thing the value of BTC was based on - its limited supply. Look at Cryptocompare BTC market data. About 1/3 of the trading volume comes from BitMex exchange, which is actually trading a derivative called a "perpetual contract", instead of actual BTC. Not one spot trading exchange can come even remotely close with their volumes to BitMex. With the 200x leverage what BitMex offers for trading, it virtually expands BTC supply to 200 times. Plus CBOE and CME futures, and such. The more of these financial products based upon cryptocurrencies are being created, the less scarce blockchain based coins will become. The whole cryptomarket works now exactly like the fractional reserve banking, where the real money (reserves) created by the central banks, make only a fraction (about 5%) of the total money supply, the rest of 95% is just private banking sector created IOU contracts called credit, built upon the reserves.

This needs to be read out loud carefully. Truest statement on this forum in a while .... Glad someone else has a brain, isn't just a cheerleader for our destruction...

Yeah, this is actually a terrible chart. So obvious bull trap. No volume. Little 0.01 buys to manipulate price up. If anything, this looks like it might drop to 2500 overnight.

I hope you're right, as I love bitcoin too. But I would be so careful with this chart. It looks very ugly.

Whales are trying to make non-institutional investors capitulate. Wild swings up and down 10% a day with no volume or buying signs is one way to totally make the small investor give up on the space. The whales has an almost unlimited ability to break markets to a point where participating is perilous to your safety. There's very little small money can do to prevent this, that is once the core vision and stance of opposition to fiat and big money had been surrendered long ago. Bitcoin investors are begging for big money to enter and "save" bitcoin - so in a sense, crypto's already broken.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a new BIG BTC buy signal??? on: February 07, 2019, 07:56:37 PM
Just following up on this. It's February 7th. Never happened. As said. This obviously had nothing to do with reality.

Putin made all kinds of threats on TV about the INF treaty withdrawal etc, and none of those stated by him came to be either. Fact is Russia is an inch from collapse, and the US has nothing to do with it. Communism being a failed ideology is their problem. Russia will soon rise again from the ashes of wounds of Communism with Orthodoxy and traditional Russian life. You're just watching the death of fake, commie "Russia"
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reasons for Satoshi's anonymity? on: February 05, 2019, 10:52:07 PM
Big Brother, as you say, created MK Ultra, the Hippy Movement, and dosed the Beatles and the Grateful Dead in university experiments. Read The Electric Kool-Aid Test. They were trying to come up with a chemical attack on Russians. Be that as it may, Big Brother often creates Frankensteins that leave his control. Even if Big Brother created it, it would just be another one of those things they did accidentally that got out of their control. It wouldn't have any bearing on how you would relate to bitcoin. Even though Big Brother created the Hippy Movement of the 60s, that wouldn't mean some 20 year old in the sixties shouldn't go to Woodstock to see Jimmy Hendrix play. Same thing.
