1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bit Coin is a Ponzi Scheme on: May 28, 2018, 06:16:06 AM
Bitcoin is a free software project without central management, so no one can make a false statement about the return on investment. Like other major currencies, such as gold, the dollar, the euro, the yen, and so on, bitcoin does not guarantee purchasing power and the exchange rate is freely floating. The resulting volatility makes it impossible for bitcoin holders to predict profits or losses. The fact is that bitcoin is being used by thousands of users and businesses because of its useful and competitive nature.
2  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the best bitcoin wallets? on: May 28, 2018, 06:02:32 AM
I like coinbase for a couple reasons. First, you have the option of transferring bitcoin or transfer the bitcoin and convert to USD. With it, I can use Shift (an app and debit card) that connect to the coinbase account-- no need to transfer to my bank. I'm still rather new about this wallet, but thus far, I have no complaints about coinbase.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late? (To buy Bitcoin now) on: May 28, 2018, 05:45:52 AM
If you think there's an opportunity that the price can dip below $7.5k then dollar price average and purchase a part of a coin at the present value, then purchase the remainder if it dips lower. If you think we're close to the ground and $7.5k is concerning as low because the coin can go from currently on, then purchase the complete coin. It's undoubtedly not too late and in an exceedingly year's time, if BTC is any quantity more than $8k, you created the profit.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin down, what will happen? on: May 27, 2018, 06:49:19 PM
as everyone knows as  the world goes on people will slowly jump into crypto, the  bitcoin will be the ruler of crypto world and it may hit that high considering there will be interest for it yet rare, so what I recommend is purchase and hold the bitcoins, a million as Mark Yusko say possibly on the higher side yet won't be shocked
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy Eth? on: May 27, 2018, 05:35:36 PM
Currently, Ethereum is a very undervalued coin. I bought in @ 300 falls of last year, and I've traded it for altcoins (pairing), and in the course of a few months, I tripled my original ETH stack of investment. This is the perfect time to take advantage of ETH's low price!

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: May 27, 2018, 06:59:11 AM
In real circumstances trading is not a pure zero-sum game. Exchanges fees, mining, hacking attacks, hard forks and fraud make this market unpredictable by game theory models. Yes, bitcoin and entire cryptocurrencies market can be manipulated. A government, Media, and Celebrities everyone is involved in price manipulation.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you guys pay Taxes for profit? on: May 27, 2018, 05:34:24 AM
As far as I know my country hasn't mandated tax has to be paid on crypto, yet, not sure what I will do if they do. I've not actually sold any for fiat thus far so tax isn't really on my mind anyway.
But as far as I know if you cash out money in bank more than the limit we need to pay tax.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is IDEX exchange legit? on: May 27, 2018, 04:30:49 AM
I’ve traded more than five times on idex with no problems. Getting set up was a bit nerdy, but if you follow the step by step guide, there’s no worries its completely safe and legit.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Buy and Hold on: May 27, 2018, 04:23:16 AM
Trading is knife with two edges. As long as you know what are you are doing, it could be a very good strategy to multiply BTC. However, you need to investigate carefully the alt in which you are entering. Timing is essential - buy at the dip not at the peak is a must. Last but not least you need to convert your profit, not to wait too much because you could get greedy and the coin may return to the original state and never come back. The truth is you need experience which will you have with time.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the best exchanges to trade. on: May 26, 2018, 03:28:12 AM
Coinbase is a great exchange for those new to cryptocurrency. Its very simple to use and allows you to deposit from your credit/debit card or transfer to/from your bank account. You can purchase the top four coins Bitcoin (BTC, Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC). If you want to experiment with other coins I recommend Binance. I've found it to be very reliable and easier to use then others.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why China banned bitcoin? on: May 25, 2018, 02:43:58 PM
China will not ban bitcoin. It is no in their interest to stifle blockchain technology. The ban is only temporary until regulations are in place. If they wanted to ban crypto-currencies they would have done it already. They are more worried about some of the cryptos being scams and pyramid schemes. In China these are very common and has just moved online thus resulting in the crackdown now!
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ban In India on: May 25, 2018, 02:38:16 PM
Theoretically, there is no ban (yet) on cryptocurrencies in India. RBI is going against it but i have e.g. an account on a private Indian bank and i can still buy on the Indian exchanges.
Off course, India is India, even importing gold has been illegal and they hate the idea of money that can flow out the country in any form so the reasoning is not wrong but for now, there is no real ban, more a practical difficulty.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble? on: May 22, 2018, 07:24:07 AM
A "bubble" can only be determined if something has reached fair market value and there is average price indicator to measure against. If you believe demand for Bitcoin will increase in the future then the bubble Bitcoin is in is in fact an inverse bubble, its grossly under-priced.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: May 22, 2018, 03:29:34 AM
All cryptocurrency; in general, is nothing but PER TO PEER CRYPTOGRAPHIC CODE.
Any vendor already accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Pivx, etc, is ready to implement any code they want. It is really a matter of time when most vendors around the world will be fighting to be the first to implement this technology, just like it happened when Visa, Master Card, and American Express came to the market. So real usage of bitcoin or any other currencies happens only when people start understanding the concept of cryptocurrencies.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Ponzi scheme? on: May 21, 2018, 02:12:14 AM
A Ponzi scheme requires a central organization to receive all the investments, Bitcoin is a currency traded on numerous exchanges with no central authority exchanging coins for value. The only way a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin could be used in a Ponzi scheme would be with the manipulation of smart contracts like those proposed for Ethereum by Massimo Bartoletti, Salvatore Carta, Tiziana Cimoli, Roberto Saia. As it stands, Bitcoin is NOT a Ponzi scheme but could be susceptible to one.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 500$ on: May 20, 2018, 06:31:40 PM
I have done as much as research according to my knowledge as I would like but, for those I have with varying degrees of diligence, my list would be something like this:
OCN
Cnn
Ark
Ripple
Stratis
Siacoin
Mysterium
GameCredits
Bitshares
Golem
TenX

Please do your own research as well before you can invest or buy any coin /project
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cause of volatility of bitcoin ? on: May 20, 2018, 06:15:22 PM
One of the factors that make bitcoin volatile as it's decentralised system. Central banks manipulate the value of their fiat by changing interest rates.

You can't do this in bitcoin so it's value is very close to the market value. Since there is regulatory commission controling bitcoin, no one steps in when prices crash.

It may be a good or a bad thing, but it is the reason why people flock to bitcoin. To keep the banks from messing with their hard earned money.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: the most profitable coin if invested? on: May 20, 2018, 11:06:48 AM
Well i bought some siacoin 2 weeks ago and hodling :-). It is not moving anywhere. I forgot about it and think that i should wait till next month.

I just bought earlier some XRP for fun. I see it is playing around there and want to make first trades to learn.

Also from what i read till now it could be something worth to IOTA, Golem and Doge (even this one now is down low).

Other than this I suggest to invest on (OCN, CNN) technically plus fundamentally strong coins then ETH and ofcourse bitcoin.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do you believe in luck? on: May 20, 2018, 10:59:25 AM
I believe. Luck is there and come when we are doing something in this case it's about trading . If we just keep silent and get a fortune, I think it's a miracle. Not luck.
So, luck can be likened to an opportunity we did not expect. But the opportunity can only come true if we are ready. If not, it's just a dream
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Coin to mine with PC on: May 20, 2018, 07:33:25 AM
Some of the lesser-known coins do have much lower system requirements. Like Evergreencoin (EGC) which uses a hybrid POW and POS system. One won't make big money from mining like with the popular coins (provided that you discover blocks often enough). And you'd need to also own and stake these coins. But it does provide some reward for those who help support the coin by running a node on their laptop/desktop.

By the way, I'm running EGC and Navcoin nodes on a humble 10-year-old Dell laptop. While using it for browsing and word-processing. Every so often, my laptop would successfully discover a block and I'd get a small reward. But it's being involved and contributing to a coin and its community that's my main objective here.
