241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose the right bounty for Newbie? Get rid of fake/scam project on: February 15, 2020, 07:19:14 PM
Based on my experience find a bounty or a project that has a good management, hard working developers, good idea and a on point roadmap, and feasible softcap and hardcap. There are some projects that the developers are worthless they just leave the token as it is no working progress and the token will just die just like that. and pick a project that has a reachable softcap because if they didn't reach the softcap the project might fail or swap into a new token and redo the bounty again in the future.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 15, 2020, 07:15:16 PM
Full of shitcoins and worthless coins and the worst is some are scams when they reach their softcaps they take all the investments and leave their investors, and some altcoins now that is in the market doesn't get managed well and no updates or upgrades listing and something that can help it progress more, it's hard to find a good altcoin that has an promising idea and a good management but alcoins are not dead just find some and support it because it may be not good now but will make a progress in the future
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: February 15, 2020, 07:10:33 PM
For me bounties now are worthless, there are no new promising ICOs that has new ideas full of real estate, flying cars, gaming, adult content, cannabis ashitty exchange, social media and other useless utility tokens, not like in 2017 where there are fresh ideas and promising projects that helps and there are little risk of investing. But keep finding a good and new idea ICO because it may be worth a lot in the future and support it until the end.
244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The worst part about using cryptocurrencies, Newbies should be more careful. on: February 15, 2020, 06:18:22 PM
For me the worst part about cryptocurrency is its volatility, it definitely needs commitment and investing not only money but also time on it, i always loses a fair amount of money when i sleep, because the price always change and you will lose profit if you don't analyze the chart well, and the scams but i learn a lot of lessons through my mistakes and through the mistakes of others, you're right keep your private keys always and backup them. and my only tips to the others is don't stop learning and don't stop taking risk.

246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about bounties on: February 15, 2020, 05:42:58 PM
1. Many bounties won't pay
Its a real fact that some might not want to accept for one reason or the other, new projects aren't that attractive to investors anymore so be ready for the worst.
2. Bounties are still Profitable
Ignore whatever bounty hunters are saying, yes many projects aren't paying but still some are paying, experience of a bounty hunter is different from one another, some bounty hunters still find it hard to learn from their mistakes

That's the reality this year and last year there are only few bounties that can be considered profitable or that pays well, i joined many bounties and for me the time and the commitment that i give to those bounties is not worth it, imagine setting an alarm so you can't forget the bounty and going to the computer shop to do bounty reports from different bounty for 2 months and getting an estimation of $20 for the 2 months, but never give up always join and don't take bounty so seriously.
248  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Cyptocurrency at Gaming industry on: February 15, 2020, 05:26:08 PM
249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin withdrawal fee is damn high in exchanges! on: February 15, 2020, 05:07:29 PM
That's right, that's why it's hard for a small time trader to even start trading because there are some exchanges that requires large withdrawal fee and also the minimum amount to be withdrawn is too damn high, but there are some exchanges that offers their great services, low trading fee, low withdrawal fee and low withdrawal amount just try and search for the right exchange for the amount of how much you want to trade try Bitpanda it's a good exchange with low withdrawal fees.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 15, 2020, 04:57:59 PM
Bitcoin provides me knowledge because there are some terminologies, strategies and analysis in the crypto world that i always apply on my field of study learning crypto is a great way to improve my knowledge especially in trading, of course it also provides me extra income for my many expenses for my tuition fee and if there is extra i bought what i need when i earn something. i also met and knew a lot of people here in the community, through exchanging knowledge and services with each other.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Industry and Cryptocurrency! on: February 15, 2020, 04:52:16 PM
Cryptocurrencies and the GAMBLING industry can fit very well, but I'm not so sure about cryptocurrencies and the gaming industry.More than 10 years since the creation of Bitcoin and several years after most big altcoins were created,I can't see a game using cryptocurrencies to buy and sell virtual game items to be really popular and successful.Congratulations about the Minecraft server that uses BTC and let's hope that the Fortninte clone game will launch successfully, but those aren't original concepts.Copying Minecraft and Fortnite isn't enough. We have to come up with a unique crypto game concept that can't be exploited, with a virtual game item marketplace that can't get manipulated.

Yeah there are some games that adapting the idea of bitcoin, implementing the blockchain and even using cryptocurrency as their prize and rewards or method of payment but some of them are like a faucet instead of a game, but at least you can still enjoy while doing faucets, and mostly 8bit games there are also a lot of ICO, IEO projects that focuses in the gaming industry but we don't know maybe someday there will be a popular game that based on bitcoin.
252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Trust Wallet Safe ? How to get Private Keys ? on: February 09, 2020, 07:36:41 AM
To access the Trust wallet recovery phrase
Settings > Wallets > select wallet and tap on the 3 dots besides it > show recovery phrase
(source)

All wallets security always depends on the user itself, mostly mobile wallets if you make it secure enough it will be safe, just pick the right wallet to store your crypto in your private key matter there are option there in the setting then wallet, where you can export your private key.

254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that governments might one day ban Cryptos? on: December 03, 2019, 06:13:26 AM
I don't think they will ban cryptocurrency because of it's potential and the growth it may cause in a certain country but there are countries that already ban it and maybe because of the lack of knowledge on it, in my opinion, the government might support it or maybe they will regulate it because cryptocurrency is becoming a trend and becoming bigger and bigger than other countries that don't know about it in the past, now supports it and creates their own coins to support it.

257  Economy / Collectibles / [History] The Casascius Physical Bitcoin (Updated) on: November 16, 2019, 08:08:42 AM
Maybe some of us don't know some important things that happen in the long run of Bitcoin, People are full of questions and I wonder if there is a physical Bitcoin and through researching, I found a man named Casascius.

-Mike Caldwell also known as Casascius, Mike Caldwell is a software Engineer at his home in Sandy, Utah. An early bitcoin adopter and Bitcoin enthusiast that has many contributions in Bitcoin, Caldwell wanted to help popularize the cryptocurrency, but he, too, doesn't like the idea of Bitcoin's intangibility. The physical Bitcoin creator.

-It all starts with an idea to make physical Bitcoins Making a real tangible bitcoin that actually conveys BTC because why not? I think it's a practical idea to promote bitcoin and cryptocurrency more and during those days only a few people know what is the Internet and have a computer.
-In this post, we can see Mike Caldwell enthusiasm towards bitcoin and what he does to make it successful.
Why a physical bitcoin?
"I just want bitcoin to succeed"
-Mike Caldwell

-On 6 September 2011, Mike Caldwell began minting physical Bitcoins, naming the coins Casascius Coins. And put it up to market on September 7, 2011 CASASCIUS PHYSICAL BITCOIN - In Stock Now! (pic)

How does it work?
  • According to the website "Each Coin has its own Bitcoin address and a redeemable “private key” which is covered by a hologram. To read the private key inside the coin the person need to peel the hologram, once peeled and redeemed the coin will no longer have any Bitcoin value. These coins are designed for face-to-face transactions."
  • According to Casascius, there will never be more than 11,000 of the original series coins, probably much fewer than this. This coin can be identified by a misspelling of "CASASCIUS" in the small background print (the middle S is missing). As of December 2011 I have made about 3500, and the final count will be further limited by other factors: the percentage of the uniquely numbered holograms that get ruined from the start, many of the sold coins have been opened and redeemed, some of the holograms have gone into the 25 BTC coins, and am not sure if I will keep doing them by hand myself if I can manage series 2 better.
  • So in September 2011, he began making physical coins as vessels. Inside of each, he embedded a piece of paper that contained a bitcoin private key, which he protected with a tamper-resistant hologram sticker. As for the word casascius, it was half acronym (derived from the phrase “call a spade a spade”), half Latin-sounding suffix (“cius”).

Counterfeit Casascius Coins
-There have been multiple reports of fake Casascius coins being circulated in the market. The counterfeit and unauthorized coins even appear to mimic the spelling error from the Series 1 coins.

Why does it stop?
  • The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a branch of the Treasury Department, informed Casascius that minting physical coin and transmitting money requires state license and federal level registration. And thus from Nov 27, 2013, onwards, the sale is suspended for items that contain digital bitcoins, the current items in the sale does not contain bitcoins.
  • On November 23, Mike Caldwell suspended sales of items that contain digital bitcoins. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a branch of the Treasury Department, informed him before, that minting physical bitcoins qualifies him as a money transmitter business, which means he needs to register at the federal level and probably get state licenses too.

259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: October 22, 2019, 07:04:07 AM
My perspective is when you win enough come back tomorrow, I gamble in my free time especially because I have low on cash and i can do small betting and it's a fun thing to do, when I win a huge amount by risking and increasing the chances to about 14% and i win after multiple losses it's like a sense of euphoria and I can't explain how happy am, and bet again and again and again until my profits turned to losses and i regret it so I change my perspective and if I win enough I will stop myself from betting again.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 22, 2019, 06:58:24 AM
There are some odds in the sports betting and if you bet on the underdog you might get a huge amount of cash, it just depends on the odds of the betting, in my strategy, I join the majority of the people where will they bet, because you can guarantee that you will win, especially on boxing and basketball which is popular in my country I always bet on the strongest team or the strongest boxer, although the stakes are low you can still win some money.
