41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is ico secure ? on: May 10, 2018, 01:27:36 PM
So far they have been secure and people have made a good amount of money from investing in ICOs now, people are just now worried about the sheer number of ICOs out there and since some people have realized that they can make a lot of money from it, they have decided to use it as a way to scam people out of their hard earned money so although it is still very secure, you should be careful about the ICOs you invest in.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Privacy Coin of 2018? on: May 10, 2018, 01:20:01 PM
DeepOnion looks like a very good privacy coin. Also monero too and they seem to offer complete anonymity with the usage of their coins and I will not be surprised to see people start diverting and using these coins because now with some coins, anonymity is not something that can be achieved. People sometimes do not want to leave an online footprint so they will be using more of these.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cash can compete to bitcoin? on: May 10, 2018, 01:14:44 PM
Bitcoin cash at first was just a fork off of bitcoin that no one thought would survive but I have to say that recently, it has been showing us that it is much more than just a fork and can be a very good coin and a very useful one at that. I don't know about competing with bitcoin because bitcoin cash still has a long way to go but I do believe that bitcoin cash is here to stay.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bear in your mind if you invest in ICO on: April 24, 2018, 08:52:37 AM
If someone is investing in ICOs today than he has to prepare for the worst as the chances of an ICO succeeding today is less than 10%. With more than 90% of the ICOs launched last year already having failed or exit scammed, I don't see how ICO investment is a fit option to choose. Also the future doesn't looks bright for the ICO market.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I do before buying an altcoin! on: April 24, 2018, 08:47:00 AM
Currently with the scams running around with the new coins being launched I would say to just stick with the older and established coin who have a proven track record and large community members. As it isn't worth losing your entire investment into these alts and less return is always better than no return.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam coins everywhere. on: April 24, 2018, 08:42:26 AM
Yeah, most of the ICOs being launched currently are nothing but scams and just here to fool newbies and take their money. They do this by hyping their coins using shills who are paid for by them to promote their coins and newbies fall prey to these hype and invest without thinking twice into these coins.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My $36,000 Invesment Turned Out Now $12,000 - Still Holding on: April 24, 2018, 08:32:11 AM
Thats why you never go all in. Always daily cost average no matter how much FOMO you are feeling inside. If you had done DCA than currently your portfolio would have been green and you would have been sitting on large amount of coins. But I must say that you have strong hands as other people might have panic sold when they would have seen their portfolio dropping this much.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is new way to get Free money? on: April 24, 2018, 03:04:18 AM
You have to invest your money into ICOs to earn a return so how is it free money? Also you are right in thinking that ICOs are nothing short of ponzi schemes currently and most of the projects aren't even able to develop a working product and just here to grab as much money they can from newbies.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get fast rich in crypto world. on: April 24, 2018, 02:53:08 AM
Exactly, those who are looking to get rick quick end up making bad decisions by investing in shitty coins whose dev team hype their projects like they have enormous moon potential. Anyone looking for quick returns is going to get burned in the crypto markets due to its volatility and risk.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Look for in a New Project? on: April 24, 2018, 02:44:29 AM
There are many things to look out for and research in a new project like if it has an active community as community is one of the most important factors, if it has a strong dev team as devs are the ones who are going to choose which direction the coin goes and if it has a real world use case as without a use case theres no value the coin might have.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what happed if whole world band crypto ? on: April 23, 2018, 05:00:30 PM
First thing theres no way all the world governments are coming together to ban the crypto markets. Secondly they are busy playing nuclear games and filling their pockets to look into small like things like crypto currencies. Also if they all banned cryptos than it wont matter much as crypto currencies are decentralized and the governments have no control over it.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of ICOs? on: April 23, 2018, 08:42:21 AM
I see the future of ICOs in the dumpster in five years and I will be very happy if it happens. The current ICOs are dirtying the crypto markets with the rampant scams running, most of the projects failing and not even able to survive or come up with a working product. The ICOs are making the new users afraid of crypto currencies who have lost their money in ICOs.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple will overtake Bitcoin in the near future on: April 22, 2018, 09:14:29 AM
You must be kidding me. Ripple is like everything that the crypto community doesn't stand for. Whats the point of using blockchain if you are not going to keep the chain decentralized. And Ripple is like the biggest centralized coin with most of its supply controlled by its creators to over value the price the coin.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone invested in token pay on: April 22, 2018, 09:08:35 AM
I would say stay away from it as it has partnered with a known scam coin Verge and I wouldn't trust them now cause if they are willing to partner  with a scam coin than they can themselves exit scam as they will be getting away with huge amounts of money. Also there is no result to see of their partnership yet.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sudden Rise up mean Bull on: April 17, 2018, 05:31:28 PM
This could very well be a bull trap and everyone should wait some time before calling it a bull market again. The market isn't going to return to bull market this fast again after such a long pump we had last year. I expect the markets to continue into the bear trend for this whole year at the least.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should now sell coin or not on: April 17, 2018, 05:03:34 PM
If you bought low than the current prices than sell otherwise why would you be thinking of selling now? If you bought higher than the current price than don't be panicked and end up making a bad decision that you will regret later on as the markets can recover any time and if you believe in the coin than you don't have to worry.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin or litecoin ? on: April 17, 2018, 08:53:25 AM
Bitcoin beats Litecoin in almost all the areas. Let it be in volume, market cap, developers or community, while Litecoin is lagging behind in all these things. Litecoin only had a upper hand in tps but with segwit and lightning network implemented on the Bitcoin network, Litecoin doesn't even stand a chance.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people mine Crypto? on: April 17, 2018, 08:47:08 AM
Many people mine as a hobby while many mine as that way they will be able to accumulate that crypto for cheaper rates than for how much they would buy if bought from the markets or an exchange. Some people also mine as they have the required hardware lying around thats needed for mining and put them to some use.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: April 14, 2018, 04:49:27 PM
Of course they will lose. Someone has to lose for somebody to profit. You cant do much when the bitcoin price decreases. One needs to hodl to reap high returns on his investments later on. While panic selling is not a good option when the price decreases.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Alt Coins will be 100x within 10 years? on: April 14, 2018, 04:46:26 PM
In ten years I'm sure a lot of high market cap coins will x100. Bitcoin and Ethereum are my safe picks as both serve different purposes and the king in that. Bitcoin works good as a store of value and payment system while Ethereum provides a platform for tokens and decentralized apps to develop on.
