There are minions in the wild that will not produce 100ghs.
Have the minion chips been graded?
Is Black Arrow sending out grade A chips?
Is this project guarantying 400ghs per four chip board?
Or will it be, be glad you got anything and STFU.

I was warned of a potential 2-5% failure rate but I am hoping that is not the case. I hope there is no grade difference either.

Edit: Here is what Blackarrow said,

We have received your ticket. I'll make sure that your ASICs are shipped on Monday.

Please note that our ASICs are not tested therefore 2-5% might not work. This is a standard practice in the industry.

Regards!

If they haven't been tested, there will be dead chips and there will be differences in how well the chips work. I suspect this may surprise some in the GB. Explaining the no response to my question of guarantying 400ghs. BFL ended up putting three low grade chips in a two chip Jalapenos at the end. Less ghs/watt.

Yes to which question? Please be more specific in your answerer. I think these are important. Are you guarantying 400ghs from every board? Can the chip core voltage be lowered? Unless you can do this with under clocking you don't increase your ghs/watt.

Can you under clock and lower core voltage the Black Arrow chips on your board using your modified cgminer? I'm looking at extending the profitability (ghs/watt) of the miner as difficulty increases. Have the Black Arrow chips been graded? So far it looks like some will run at 800mhz max.

To check the 1 volt, can't you check the resistance to ground of the 1 volt supply like you could on a Jally???

Lightfoot, just order the 0.5mm balls and manually place them on the chip to re-ball it. Better ROI.

I been just reading for a long time and now I need to PM. I started mining with my 6870 in the winter for the blank of it. The coins were only worth around $10 or $15 each. I stopped when it got warm and kinda forgot about it until I heard on the news that BTC was up to $200. So, I spent some coins on a TV and ordered a Jalapeno from BFL. Why not, it's just play money. Now BTC has gone over $1200 each and I'm kicking my self. Now I want to PM a guy on this forum to buy another two chips to add to my Jalapeno. I have to spend some more BTC and risk bricking my miner, but it's more interesting then just watching the numbers creeping upward, much slower then when I stopped mining the first time. I hope everyone at least has some fun with BTC even if they don't make a lot of cash.
