Hi, this coin is dead?
I'm not sure to tell the truth. What do you mean? Looks like it is still alive. Hey you on this as well? Look well alive, just quite low radar for quite some time... Duke is still very active as always!

Our non-English language support still doesn't really go beyond the wallet interface, so in an effort to connect with the wider world we've created an official Spanish language Twitter account. Así que si prefieres recibir las noticias de Zano en español, ahora puedes hacerlo. https://twitter.com/Zano_EspanolHola! (sorry only word i know in spanish)

Very well said OrsonJ, we are lucky to have a team this dedicated, that truly care's about tech and want to solve the hard problems that privacy faces. Like CZ said in his last interview, he never had a job this challenging and so exciting, he can't see himself doing anything else anymore. I of course praise the team for their efforts which are obvious, but many people are working their ass off all around, that supports the project and make this possible everyday. I think that taking some time on this anniversary is the right thing to do and i surely hope that you guys will stay with us and keep working to make this all possible! We need team but we also needs all of you, without believer's the best tech can't succeed! Congrats everyone!

Great work Zano team. If this gets on to Binance, this will become huge
Or........ it gets atomic swaps and reach out to hundreds of DEX, you stay in control of your coins and you don't have to disclose your identity for nothing!
|
|
|
Yup atomic swaps are starting to move from theory to practice Soon in a release near you!

... For actually putting zanod in the background, I use the --no-console option. So or to make it extra sure ./zanod --no-console >/dev/null 2>/dev/null &
Good hint too, runs well. You skilled with linux? I have a RaspberryPI coming and want to spend some time over setting a staking node and try to secure it, maybe even make a bundle or image so people can use it easily. If you have any skill, a hand would surely be appreciated! In that case just join in our discord and hit me up!

Can I PoS mint in simplewallet? Or have I to use GUI?
Sure, you can use simplewallet for staking:
simplewallet --rpc-bind-port=yourport --wallet-file=path\to\your.file --do-pos-mining --deaf
--rpc-bind-port - this needed to launch simplewallet in server mode --do-pos-mining - this tells wallet to launch staking --deaf - tells simplewallet to ignore any network rpc requests (for safety reasons)
--deaf huh, interesting trick, didn't know that one!

Hard to read article, but still easier than the original paper (plus the glass names are direct reference to it) For a even more hardcore read check out the original paper: https://eprint.iacr.org/2020/688.pdf

Hi everyone! A new release has just been published (v1.1.7.112).
This release contains a series of UI enhancements, the resolution of the infamous "core is busy" bug, plus - one of our key features - auditable wallets so you can monitor any wallet in real-time using their tracking seed. The team is proud to announce that they embrace full transparency and have released the Foundation Fund tracking seed which allows you to see every single transaction (incoming AND outgoing). The foundation fund tracking seed is:
aZxat4HAWriVQ3enkGcVsrZRdMseAJswG3CSEwTqZS246VsFQ53w26eZstYsu1jWE74Atz9ajLxFnBs VTafncWNH5SMv4zHFaTS:1780c4d5dd7e97cc4a75ea8baa7977d12ef948b9a6dddc2a9a37e5e22ac7180e:1599495055
You can download this version (non mandatory) at our website: https://zano.org/downloads.html
You can learn more about this release, fixes/features and how to load a tracking seed at https://medium.com/@zano_project/zano-development-update-12-11-2020-auditable-wallets-bug-fixes-foundation-fund-transparency-14d4aba05c0b
Excellent update. And congratulations for the transparency on the financing of the project. I think this is a very important point for the future. Yeah is there any other projects out there that shows this level of transparency over the projects funds? I mean i get notified for every single transaction that is done in there!

THANKS FOR AN INTERESTING POST! --
I check this thread daily; your post was a breath of fresh air! On a heavier note, it is sad to watch the hashrate for BoolBerry decline. The coin needs some perks. A new exchange is my idea for better circulation.
TradeOgre will list a coin without taking a fee. There is a "New Coin" application form downloadable on the exchange site, more miners should fill one out. BoolBerry (BBR) was worth over a dollar per coin not so long ago. There was a lot of trade activity on STEX prior to the launch of Zano.
Just posting here is enough to stimulate some interest. BBR's "wildkeccak" is a low-energy algorithm and minable with GTX 750ti cards. The 750ti rig that I have is nearly silent, and sips electricity. The coin is just too good to let it slip into oblivion.
Knock on TradeOgre's door, get BoolBerry listed! --scryptr
Thanks for being a fan of BBR, i've been one as well for quite a long time, i've mined this for quite a while, sold some, purchased some, did mistakes and so on.... As for TradeOrgre, they are quite hard to reach, zano tried for months and all of a sudden they listed us. They don't really follow any requests or anything, they just do what they want to do. Beside that BBR is mostly on maintance and won't get any more development to it, unless its about fixing issues. Devs said in the past that they might import some little features from zano to bbr if those had a good impact and was easy to migrate. But codebase of zano and bbr are now quite different and devs have their hands full over zano with protocol upgrade being the largest incoming features (with the hire of Anton for this), the focus is really over bringing privacy to higher grounds.

How come? I see the balance grow but i see no tx for minted coins.
Thanks for answering that
It looks like the block rewards are added to a state channel
