1  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4+ EH] Slush Pool (slushpool.com); Overt AsicBoost; World First Mining Pool on: October 01, 2021, 11:05:16 AM
My eyes are kinda glazing over on this convo, sorry to say. I would like to know if anybody is using this pool and satisfied. Also like to know if the pool operator is posting to this thread.

I am looking for USA pool with highest hash rate. Thanks.

I am working with Grace on Telegram. Good experience so far. Will report again when my miner arrives.

S19 110 jumped $2000 in a week? Am I reading that right?
6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to plug two miners into 240v outlet? on: July 15, 2021, 01:53:18 PM
The key point folks here are getting to is that running a miner much less several requires setting up significant power circuits and is not something most folks can, much less should attempt, to do by themselves. It requires working with a licensed electrician to safely spec and install the needed circuit breakers, wiring, and sockets.

Thank you for your response...truer words. I did work with an electrician, but we got the plug wrong! Being a noob is hard, but doesn't last forever. Aside from gpu home mining for many years now, I've had s9s and s15s hosted, but now working on bringing asics home. It's a challenge!

Phil I apologize for imposing and thank you for the information. I know that seller's name from telegram! Will pursue.

I've mostly just lurked around here on and off over the years and am not well enough practiced in the culture. I blame discord where everyone is yammering at all times! Tongue

Hey thank you for your reply. I am absolutely willing to pay and not looking for anything free. I have a specific and personal inquiry with him or I would post here, of course. Maybe we will post here about the matter in due time. Smiley

edit - may I contact you privately about the matter at hand?

edit2 - I have sent you a message, my first one ever!

Hey I can imagine that you're crazy busy, but I would be grateful if you could have a glance at that email I sent at your earliest convenience. I'm deferring a big decision until I hear from you. Thank you so much! I hope you get your car situation straightened out to your satisfaction! And really glad nobody hurt!

OMG, meltdown. I had a small meltdown incident with risers on a gpu rig. Nothing dangerous, but it was complicated and annoying to repair. Hopefully I have learned my lesson.

I didn't even consider running three rigs with two on low power, very clever!

I am very grateful for your guidance sir. Been following you for years now and also hope to get some solar power into the mix in the future.

Ok, that all makes sense, thanks for looking. Too bad I can't just use an adapter. I thought the plug configuration wouldn't matter because I was going from 4 prongs to 3 prongs anyway. Learning.
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to plug two miners into 240v outlet? on: July 02, 2021, 01:29:44 AM
Yes, that makes sense, thanks. I'll purchase the 24A PDU.

Were you able to see the pic of the plug at the shared link? Not sure if that's how I should try to post a pic?

14  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to plug two miners into 240v outlet? on: July 01, 2021, 01:23:42 PM
The price is reasonable for the pdu, but I wonder that is says 24A on it. Is that ok?

give me five minutes i will link all the shit you need.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/174407469460?

that is the exact pdu you need.

15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to plug two miners into 240v outlet? on: July 01, 2021, 01:16:44 PM
You guys are great, thank you so much! I will study the pdu situation.

I hope you can see this:

Ok, here is the splitter arrangement I was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/30-amp-splitter/s?k=30+amp+splitter

I am considering what else I need...a surge protector at one end and two prong converters at the other end. What do you think?

Thanks for the convo, not too many people to talk to about this stuff. Smiley
17  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to plug two miners into 240v outlet? on: July 01, 2021, 09:36:00 AM
Not sure where you are located so the plugs / versions will be different but what you are looking for is a PDU.

Ok, thank you, I could not remember "pdu" and my searches weren't turning up anything useful!

I had a special line installed by an electrician: 2 pole 30 amp receptacle which has 5760 watts available.

s19 = 3250W
s15 = 1600W

So anyway, I thought I saw some forked cables around or maybe there is some kind of power strip for 30amp? Do I need a pdu? Is it meant to smooth erratic power? I think I have a good steady supply.

18  Bitcoin / Mining support / How to plug two miners into 240v outlet? on: June 29, 2021, 08:31:47 AM
Hello, I have a couple of s15 miners that were hosted previously. Also interested in buying an s19. Anyway, I'm wondering how to safely plug two miners into one plug. Maybe I remember some years ago a PMS was mentioned on the forum? Or maybe there is just some forked cabling?

Thanks!
