1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sound Money Coin (SOV). A new King is in town. on: March 18, 2019, 09:04:18 AM
I agree with what the previous poster said. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COIN. It is exclusively mined by 2 contracts and the one that submits transactions every few seconds has block priority at one of the biggest pools, sparkpool. No matter what gas you use, they will still be awarded a higher block position and you will fail to mine the coin and lose your money. This coin is not sound money, not fairly mined, and is already extremely imbalanced. Also, the metamask extension never uses the proper gas limit, and even though every single transaction from the two scripts that are mining this coin only uses 52,000 gas, when i set my limit at 55,00 gas my transaction fails for reaching the gas limit. Yet, somehow, when i look at the previous 100 transactions, every single one of them only used 52,000 gas. There is something shady about this coin. Stay away

I just thought about something. Once the coin is even moderately in demand, there will likely be so many users trying to mint it that they will be turned away by the money they lose every time they attempt to mint the coin and it has a failed transaction. There should be a counter on the webpage next to the mint button that says the gas spent by the previous transaction, or an average of the previous 10 transactions or something, so that users have a general idea if they will be successful or not.

My finger and arms hurt from having to mine this manually. It would be amazing ff the crypto community came up with a tutorial on how to set up the automation of minting this coin. I have been viewing the explorer and I'm more than convinced that someone is minting this automatically  Huh

Actually it may be bad to set up an automated function because if you end up being outbid, or outgassed, you are going to be continually wasting gas every time. Which could add up to a lot of ETH. This coin is really interesting because there will always be the potential to "get some cheap" just by the nature of how quickly ETH blocks can be mined back to back, but the price isn't going to be always kept low for the coin because the more popular it gets, the more people there will be bidding at any given block. I think this coin has the potential to really catch on. Especially because you know that it's distribution is going to end up very very balanced in the long run.
4  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BiteBTC Exchange Launched! on: October 12, 2018, 10:34:11 PM
Hi, today I deposited Thore coin to trade, but didn't know I had to be verified to trade it. I had sent in my verification a long time ago. So I ended up depositing ETH so I could withdraw my THore coin to a different exchange, and I have withdrawn it and it says processed but I am not seeing the transaction on etherscan or on the other exchange.
5  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crex24.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange [Official Thread] (Fiat deposit/withdrawal) on: October 12, 2018, 09:19:39 PM
I had deposited Thore coin to BiteBTC but didn't know that it couldn't be traded there without verification, and I sent verification in weeks ago, so today I withdrew THore coin from BiteBTC to Crex24. I don't see the coin in crex24 but it was processed by bitebtc. However, its seems as though the deposit address given by crex24 is a smart contract and not a wallet?  is this normal?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Core [BTCC] - the True Vision like you've seen it on CNBC on: May 30, 2018, 11:48:30 PM

People get kicked out of Telegram for asking normal questions. Like if BCH or BTC is faster than BTCC.

So I don't trust this company anymore. I think it is pathetic and untrustworthy to kick people out because of asking normal questions. Not even derogatory questions.

Sounds like a bch shilll trolling. Wasnt my experience at all in the telegram and they were super helpful getting me started on the mining pool.

Having no mac wallet and no mac miner is keeping a substantial amount of people from this project. Not sure how four or five months in there isn’t even a mac wallet. This isn’t the 1990s. A substantial amount of people use macs exclusively now, and have no interest in ever loading up windows again.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TPI] The International Payment - TPI on: April 18, 2018, 10:17:08 PM
THIS COIN IS A SCAM. LOOK AT THE ETH EXPLORER. THE DEV HAD ALL OF THESE COINS, NONE WERE LOCKED OR ARE LOCKED, AND HE HAS REGULARLY BEEN MAKING DEPOSITS OF 100 MILLION COINS ONTO COIN EXCHANGE ROUGHLY EVER HOUR TO UNLOAD NOW THAT THE PRICE IS INCREASING. THIS IS A SCAM AND DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR MONEY TO THESE SCAMMERS. THE TEAM IS ALSO FAKE
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CROPCOIN [CROP] | Tiered Masternodes | PoS | Decentralized Marketplace on: April 04, 2018, 01:00:47 AM
So you are increasing the amount of coins per reward block to 300 for 20k master nodes? Making the rich get richer and causing a lot more coins to flood into the market causing the price to go down. Horrible idea.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FORK][AIRDROP] LITECOIN PRIVATE - LTC fork /w Privacy and Smart Contracts on: April 03, 2018, 09:03:12 PM
I would STAY AWAY from this project at all costs. Over 1/3 of the total coin supply was "Airdropped" to themselves. Notice how their airdrop only ran for a few days and the only accounts that are claiming they received their airdrops are brand new accounts? This is most likely another Yobit backed scam coin

Additionally, their team members are not real people. There is no mention on the web of anyone named Victor Lavoie except for someone who passed away in 2014. However, nothing connected to this name and anything blockchain or crypto related can be found on the web

Why on earth is this fork publicly aligning with yobit? Yobit is a scam operation that sandboxes and kills forks. Absolute worst thing that a fork can do at this stage in the game is align themselves with yobit.

wait its 5000 coins for a masternode?

Both the website AND the announcement say 2500 coins. Is there a reason that someone was incapable of updating with correct information? Shouldn't they have been updated well before the requirement ever changed?

Now I have to sell my coins at a substantial loss.  Roll Eyes

So I purchased a bunch of PCN on coinexchange, trying to transfer it to the mac wallet. I downloaded the one in the link, along with the bootstrap, but when i load the wallet it just says it has 0 connections to the network after 24 hours. I tried creating a peepcoin.conf file with the list of nodes and saved it in text editor in the application support directory but then the wallet won't even open if the file is in the directory.
