81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBU - The Future of Security Tokens on: August 01, 2018, 12:08:52 AM
Why did you decide to focus on securities, while most of platforms were offering utilities? What's yr motivation?

The securities market is a multi-trillion-dollar arena which remains virtually untouched in the blockchain space.

I suggest you check out the blog post here - https://medium.com/mobu-io/security-tokens-who-is-the-real-leader-in-the-marketplace-e364fba54360

Good evening. What role will the token which is put on sale in the ICO have in yr ecosystem? I wanna be sure if its stable growth.

These are all in the whitepaper,

Companies/Issuers - those who wish to sell security tokens

Developers - will create or review ICO contracts for security tokens, they will earn MOBU but are locked up for a minimum of 3 months after the end of the ICO

KYC Providers - they will validate participants. They pay to join the platform and earn from validating participants.

Investors - individuals or institutions wishing to buy or trade security tokens, they are required to pay fees to KYC providers for verification but once verified, they will be filtered out to the ICO they are qualified to participate in.

Legal Representatives/Lawyers - they will be paid in Mobu to tender issuance and are selected by the issuer to take responsibility for the issuance.

Banks - to convert fiat to crypto and to act as escrow providers

It will be possible to invest with fiat on yr platform. Will it be converted to cryptocurrencies automatically?

Yes, that is correct.

Can not help but get excited after looking at the first post in this thread, the team looks great, whitepaper is on point too, I wonder what do you guys think are the biggest cons when it comes to your project? the price, maybe? the techy nature of it all?

Regarding the technical side of it, the MVP is being developed and they plan to release something before the presale. About the price, it is similar to most of the token sales, and not that expensive compared to other projects.

Have you already decided who will be the customer of services of your project? Why do you think that these categories will be interested in your platform?

Please check my previous answer, I think that is what you are looking for. Let us know Grin

Can anyone explain me what will be the functions of Mobu token in the ecosystem of the project? Will it be a payment method or anything else?

Yes, here's what I found in the whitepaper:

Companies/Issuers - those who wish to sell security tokens

Developers - to create or review ICO contracts for security tokens, they will earn MOBU but are locked up for a minimum of 3 months after the end of the ICO

KYC Providers - validates participants. They pay to join the platform and earn from validating participants.

Investors - individuals or institutions wishing to buy or trade security tokens, they are required to pay fees to KYC providers for verification but once verified, they will be filtered out to the ICO they are qualified to participate in.

Are you planning to launch three trading platforms for various categories of users? Why not create a single one? Won’t it be more convenient?

No, just one Grin The platform though will have multiple marketplaces.

i'm just reading your white paper but I dont unterstand the following sentence. can you please explain? "Over the course of four years, the amount
of tokens awarded to the community will be distributed according to the following
monotonically decreasing formula" btw i love your project

Hi there! This means the initial allocation will last for 4 years. By then, the team will be able to have a significant enough volume to maintain the pool.

Is it true that you’ll provide legal support? But who will be supported – investors or the ICOs? How much will your legal support cost and will it be possible to pay with cryptocurrencies or even Mobu tokens for it?

That is the Legal Representative Marketplace. They will be paid in Mobu tokens to tender issuance and are selected by the issuer to take responsibility for the issuance.

What is  Mobu.js and what will be the functions of this JavaScript library?

Hi there! This is explained in the whitepaper,

MOBU.js - MOBU.js is a JavaScript library that makes interaction with the MOBU chain code easier, as well as a set of tools for encrypting documents using Ethereum’s addressing scheme and generating cryptographic proof of process artefacts (see Appendix A Encryption). Opensource (Github) wrapper class exposing functions which encapsulate an interface to interact with MOBU blockchain for all MOBU ICO issuers and developers to consume data.

APPENDIX A: ENCRYPTION - The MOBU ERC20 platform can be leveraged to send encrypted messages. Ethereum addresses are based on public keys, and these public keys can be recovered from the signature of a transaction from that address (e.g. using the ecrecover_to_pub function). Several tools (bitcore-lib, bitcore-ecies) can then be used to encrypt messages directly in the web browser, without sending private information over the network.

Hope that helps Grin

How will banking support be implemented in Mobu? What banks will cooperate with you for this purpose?

Support by ensuring fiat will always be converted to crypto. From the whitepaper,

Bank Partnerships

"MOBU establishes bank relationships to ensure easy access of fiat to crypto conversions all around the world. Since MOBU is regulatory friendly it will be very likely and in the best interest of all parties."

I've done some due diligence with the project and most of them have a background in VR. But why make it decentralized? Do yo know that ethereum network now is clogged? Why not make your own blockchain or use other alternatives?

Hi there! This is from the Drivepaper:

Why the Ethereum network? The Ethereum programmable blockchain allows us to enable a ‘trustless’ auction process and transfer the ownership of digital assets without the need of a third party. The recent boom of dapps being developed on Ethereum gives us confidence in the sustainability of the network.

The CryptoCarz NFTs will be issued by a smart contract and stored in the Ethereum blockchain based on the ERC721 token standard (reference: https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/blob/master/EIPS/eip-721.md).

What’s the interest of your ecosystem for investors? What income can they count on? What are the timeframes?

One feature I really like is the Unique Escrow Services to ICOs.

"MOBU introduces a new innovative and unique method of escrow services to ICO`s. Investors are able to exit the ICO after the crowdsale on a pro-rata basis if the ICO issuers do not adhere to their roadmap or goals. This ensures a higher overall ROI for investors."

I suggest checking out the whitepaper, it is well written and easy to understand.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBU - The Future of Security Tokens on: July 21, 2018, 12:03:10 AM
Why does yr ecosystem need so many users? For example, why do you need several KYC Providers at once if you can work with one of them?

This is to prevent fake KYC providers from spamming the network.

KYC Providers

A KYC provider validates the real identities of participants and performs due diligence to accredit them. To participate in the system, Ethereum addresses need to be matched with individuals. These individuals may also wish to be accredited in their jurisdiction to remove investment restrictions.

KYC providers pay a MOBU fee to join the network. This fee is to prevent fake KYC providers from spamming the network. It is expected that legitimate KYC providers will easily make this back in fees earned from a few hundred investor verifications. Furthermore, they can specify a fee to be paid by each investor requesting verifications (i.e. 10 MOBU), and it is expected that legitimate KYC providers will easily recoup their initial capital cost of joining the platform potentially even after a single successful issuance.

For creation of which software will devs be able to earn MOBU tokens?

Hi there! This is from the whitepaper:

Developers

Developers are software engineers who create or review ICO contracts for security tokens.

Developers will earn MOBU for creating security token ICO contracts. To incentivize developers to create these contracts, they will be required to have these MOBU fees locked up for a minimum of 3 months after the end date of the security token ICO.

Which protection for investors you want to offer? Funds raised on ICO will be locked untill developers will made promised product?

Yes, that is one feature of the MOBU platform on how it will protect contributors. What you mentioned is the Unique Escrow Services.

"MOBU introduces a new innovative and unique method of escrow services to ICO`s. Investors are able to exit the ICO after the crowdsale on a pro-rata basis if the ICO issuers do not adhere to their roadmap or goals. This ensures a higher overall ROI for investors."

Hi everyone,

We would like to share with you this this article,

Why Non-Fungible Tokens Matter — The Rise of Crypto-Collectibles

"For years gamers have been trading in-game items as well as creating skins and other customizations to use in games — several successful online marketplaces exclusively engage in the exchange of in-game items. However, there has never been a clear concept of asset ownership in gaming, other than trusting the gaming company as custodian of the players’ assets. Through an NFT, you can now own your in-game characters, skins and customizations– outside the control of a third party, including the game developer.

Digital scarcity will be revolutionary. Our starting point with CryptoCarz is that this first generation of NFTs are only scratching the surface of what is possible. There will be new scenarios where the game doesn’t run on the network but your token becomes your ticket to be part of the game."

Cool Cousin is featured in Business Insider! Grin

"Social city guide app Cool Cousin is another company that has put ICOs to good use. Launched in 2016, the app allows travelers to connect with locals—which it calls "cousins"—to gain personalized guidance, travel recommendations and assistance. Since then, it has closed a $2 million round of seed funding and acquired more than 500,000 users."
