261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to expect from crypto in 2019? on: January 16, 2019, 02:22:55 PM
I think it's important to seperate the "what to expect from crypto" and "what to expect from my investments", seemingly many put an equal sign between those two nowadays.
overall the future of crypto is very bright, but yet we're in a quite young stage - even in january the total market cap of every single coin together was similar to what a singular company like Apple's marketcap is today.
That's remarkable considering how many actually genuinely cutting edge projects are being built using blockchain!

so, I think we can expect great news during the year, but will people be ready to flock back to crypto? that's a whole other question, and considering how many people are still down 90% of their january investments, and how that generally market cycles are close to 10 years(although crypto is generally perceived to be faster); it might either way be a bit early to start another bullrun this year.

google says: ASUS Media Streamer DMR AODMR.exe

apart from that, are you sure you aren't clicking the windows key + space? it toggles between languages (usually it's english + install language I think)
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What difference can stable coin bring? on: November 12, 2018, 12:57:12 PM
do you think stable coin can bring about the desired change in the fluctuation in the crypto market?
At least they can, they will contribute to increase the total market cap of the market.

What is stable coin in the first place?
It has a stable price which is $1 but it still moves a bit from $1<-> $0.99 or few lower cents.

If we dont fully know the advantages, the acceptance may not be much. what is your thought on this?
There's a wide acceptance for stable coins just so you know.
Coinbase and Circle announce the launch of USDC — a Digital Dollar
Introducing Gemini Dollar, The First Regulated Stable Coin
is it not "undermining" them if every exchange launches their own? is there any reason for it?  Huh
265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to cheaply pay someone on: November 11, 2018, 11:25:10 PM
if you just want to pay to someone (not a store or something), why not just use a cheaper alternative?
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin ETF? How it will affect Bitcoin price? on: November 11, 2018, 02:09:55 PM
I read someone saying the price will be "supressed" if it's accepted, as in kept low all the time?
anyone know if ti's the case?
267  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where do you buy bitcoins? on: November 11, 2018, 03:45:24 AM
you've got 5 links in your signature, does none of them fit?  Shocked
what's wrong with them?

I mostly use coinbase since it's so simple and instant, kraken is good (but I think only Europe) and takes a few days for money to move.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally ,a solution to fraudulent ICOs? on: November 11, 2018, 03:44:31 AM
this seems great and yet another good example of the powers of smart contracts!
although the ico hype has died off, scammers have left the market?  Huh
269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide how stay safe on Cryptopia and other exchanges for beginners. on: November 10, 2018, 08:36:50 PM
If any exchange have something bad happens to me, this shows that it is not worthy of my trust. Once I withdraw, I will never go there again.
Exchanges that has been blacklisted by me:(These are my personal views, others may not think so)
FatBTC:No withdrawal channel after the token is removed.
Liqui:Change deposit address many times.
stocks: Withdraw fee too high. it is very very high.
yobit: Too many scam coins, and service attitude is very bad.
FCoin: Price manipulation, liar.
CoinBene:Too many MLM coins, and some of which are their own.

For the beginners, 3 points of advice.
1. Deposit security is always the first,So choose only those exchanges with good reputation, such as binance,Huobi. At least they won't swindle your money.
2. Be cautious about unfamiliar exchanges, especially for exchanges that you have not heard of, if you want to deposit, please be sure to deposit a small amount first.
3. Before depositing, it is important to check whether the address is accurate. If it is an ERC20 token, you need to check whether the contract address are consistent. I used to deposit the same name token. Unfortunately, they are different tokens, so my token is lost.

any reason why you'd go with those listed from you?
Huobi as an example is one of the largest exchanges, and lists almost as many coins as Binance.
and is cheaper than Binance (and Liqui for that matter)

why not stick with the big exchanges?
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Believe that there is a crypto cartel suppressing the price of BTC? on: November 10, 2018, 05:33:35 PM
Considering the relatively small market cap of BTC, and crypto as a whole, and the natural volatility - I think it's safe to say there's definitely a group who's moving the market however they want to.
I mean, it's not a secret it's happening in general?

What about all the other 'groups' they just sit there and wait their turn? The idea is silly. It's a free for all and an ever changing one. One entity may initiate a move. There's no way they can retain full control of it until it reaches some predetermined conclusion that suits only them.

Well, other groups doesn't have to wait, it's more pretty obvious that very rich people can easily move the market. isn't people saying 10% of the market cap is actual amount of money that has gone into crypto?
do you relaly believe noone is moving the market whichever way they please? Bitmex seems capable of moving the market to liquidate as many people as possible.
It'd be naive to assume that the market is free I think.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nearly 700,000 websites are hacked in bid to steal cryptocurrency on: November 10, 2018, 02:40:23 AM
is there an agenda in the article to make people scared of crypto?
crypto gets so much negative attention about things that are already happening for fiat!
paypal accounts are hacked, various website accounts are hacked and sold, email adresses etc, naturally people will try to steal crypto just as the same people would try to steal bank accounts.

274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto oasis in California on: November 09, 2018, 02:50:26 PM
is it just me or has the west, US/western Europe seemingly dropped the ball on crypto? seems like Asia and to some extent, eastern Europe is trying to get "in early" on crypto.
US as a whole (so including California) seems pretty restrictive/"anti"
275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Decline of the West on: November 07, 2018, 09:08:31 PM
I've not read what you are talking about but I do like to read a lot on this subject and I personally think it's the case for numerous reasons,
however this is not the first time Europe has been "under attack" in one way or another, but isn't it the first time the population itself is the cause?
of course those who disagree with me will say no since they don't find Europe to be in decline to begin with.

indeed it's likely so that all civilizations has a "limited time", which can be seen with all civilizations in history so far!
but if this is the time or not is uncertain.
276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Crypto Trading Education packages worth the money? on: November 07, 2018, 08:52:36 PM
at what prices?
certainly you can learn that and much more on your own, just as you can learn almost anything a university teaches alone aswell,
but going with something tested and planned obviously speeds it up.
277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Bitcoin Hype-Cycle on: November 07, 2018, 03:06:36 AM
while it has been accurate so far, it's not until now all this talking about regulations and so on has come into play, and the futures.

and it's only november 5!
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hackers in our lives and assets protection on: November 05, 2018, 09:51:14 PM
Hi, friends! There is a question:  the assets of cryptocurrency owners are oftenattacked by hackers. What method of protection  haveyou chosen? What are your most reliable ways and wallets for storing coins?
all the wallets that I have for storing all my coins using a private key and using telephone and email number verification, this step is strong enough for the wallet security factor

phone and email verification? so on some exchange or wallet site? then it's not entirely in your hands, that's not the safest choice to rely on a third party!

on topic it's more difficult to secure oneself, but once secured it's far more safe than other things.
here is some tips: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3576100
