Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google lifts Crypto-Currency Add Ban!

One way or another this is a bullish news for the cryptomarket. I remember the day when the adds was banned by the google. Much good news is accumulating at the moment. We are going to see the effects in the near future. Weird though, as the ads are only pointed to ico's which should have nothing to do with bitcoin.

that is only part of the negative side of using bitcoin, actually bitcoin has more positive side too, and one more thing bitcoin transactions use pseudonyms, not anonymous. So crime should be used using bitcoin can be tracked because there is user data.
There are a lot of companies started with the sole purpose of laundering money, I bet there is more money laundered that way than there is in all of crypto.

I think cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Now, some will be more successful than others. I am sure AML BitCoin will be the best coin in the near future as its compliant with KYC and AML.
Haha funny, thanks for the laugh

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that the HODL approach is good bitcoin?

Hodl approach for a long time will become a great strategy to make profit without taking the risk. Not every time hodl approach will help you to make profit but most of the times it will help you to generate profit.
If we look at btc's history we can conclude it's a fact that holding bitcoin pays off, the exception at the moment is if you have bought btc around 20k (realistically at 7k or above now). But who knows what the future will bring

I don't think you can conclude that Asians are the most bitcoin holders because investors sell bitcoin to people all over the world, so we can't predict if Asians are the biggest holders of bitcoin. Bitcoin is currently well-known throughout the world so that people in other regions can start using it to make assets in the future. Even in Asia, there are still some countries that cannot accept bitcoin.
OP made up that bitcoin was born in Asia as well, none of what he says is to be taken seriously imo.

Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Bitcoin still a slave of Fiat?
|
on: September 24, 2018, 06:50:54 PM
|
because bitcoin still need legalization to be accepted as a currency. Until that, it is still a slave of fiat and can not replace fiat
Even if btc was an officially accepted currency, fiat is what is being used by everyone as of now. Bitcoin wouldn't all of the sudden break free from that.

IMHO now Bitcoin and the whole market fall and it will continue to go down. I think it will drop under $ 2000 by June of 2019. So right now I prefer not to buy Bitcoin but sell it or just open short positions through marginal trading.
i think you should explain the reason behind on your analisys.so we learn together and not spreading fud in market.i am just thinking why should crypto community let bitcoin price down below $2000. Most baseless statements don't include reasoning

Economy / Economics / Re: People are not motivated by money.

on: September 21, 2018, 01:04:14 PM

I always hear the argument for capitalism "B bb BUT people won't innovate without the profit motive" WRONG
Humans want to solve problems, create, and innovate, they do not need money to motivate them. Cavemen were painting art 20,000 years ago without the desire of money.
True scientists like Tesla, he didn't care about money it was about the pursuit of science.
Capitalism does not cause innovation, most new technology is found by government programs like nasa (internet, smartphones, etc)
Of course there are people who do things just to better mankind or to help society (scientists who research incurable diseases funded by donation money). But I think there are more people who do it for the money so they can live their ideal life. The world is driven by money and selfishness.

Could be a signal for something worse to come, Putin also mentioned how there is a big crisis coming. I will have to see it first to believe it, but I don't think it' outside the realm of possibilities.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Iran touch 26.000 USD
|
on: September 19, 2018, 01:06:36 PM

why is the price of Bitcoin in Iran is more expensive than global prices? Is it really possible for a country to determine the selling price of Bitcoin?
You are a Sr.Member in this forum how it is possible that you have missed this situation before? There have been numerous accasions when this have happen: 1)Some country in South Africa, matbe it was Zimbawe 2)And how you did miss Japan prices while in the bubble? these news articles about bitcoin being 25k in zimbabwe and 18k in nigeria etc are usually just bullshit. Just like it's not true in this case either. why is the price of Bitcoin in Iran is more expensive than global prices? It isn't. The "news" that Bitcoin was selling for $24,000 in Iran was based on the incorrect exchange rate - the subsidized exchange rate of 1 USD to 42k IRR set by the government for imports of certain goods. The actual exchange rate of 1 USD to 140k IRR gives the real price.

Can anyone verify the author of this site really be linked to the Creator of bitcoin? What about the new announcement. Are we going to get answered for our questions? What message did the site displayed before? http://nakamotofamilyfoundation.orgThe site is not existing anymore so I don't know what is the content of this website prior to the deletion of the content, you should have screenshot it or at least quote for late readers to have an idea what the contents of the sites are and if it is relevant to our current situation. A few snapshots here https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://nakamotofamilyfoundation.org Announcing the first excerpt to a literary work consisting of two parts. The excerpt is provided. I wanted to include it as a brief glimpse of history. Even for those that can't read the full book, I wanted to make this available to everyone. A short story if you will, with some of the most brought up questions and answers. I wanted the people and the facts to be known. Or as much of it. I'm still saving most for the books, the best parts hopefully. It's currently just a possibility for now. In the meantime the excerpt is included. Links with information about the book (if it comes to frution) will be posted here on this site in the coming month. Names to both are in this puzzle to solve, for those who want spoilers head down to the excerpt: cryptopuzzle - Convert letters to numbers - Numbers like 1 represent the letter B, it is in mixed order - Title of book broken into two parts is revealed at the end The two part series is still alpha and experimental. There's no guarantee the book will ever come to be, unless it becomes necessary and people want to know about me personally. In order to figure out the names for them, I have created a simple cryptogram. It is ridiculously easy for anyone to solve, regardless of age. No bruteforce needed. I also will provide the approximate release dates later on in the case they do get made. I would like to maintain that there were many who contributed to this project, many names of which were not included, individuals who for whatever reason have chosen not to go public and therefore out of respect, I did not include them. Once these conversations are in the public domain to include them in the possible series, I will do so. But to be certain, there are countless conversations I found to be enlightening that I hope make it to be part of the story. There will be many new names and individuals appearing throughout the book in any case, as it is a story about my personal life. Those willing to share these conversations should, for the public 29 June 2018 Paper: Duality: An excerpt Satoshi Nakamoto nakamotofoundation@protonmail.com no sig
