Economy / Speculation / Re: The real problem of bitcoin price decline
|

you are correct but i do believe that negative news (or mainly FUD) has always been a secondary force that helped the drop but it never caused it. the market makers get the dumping started and as price falls other traders join in with stop loss,... and then the FUD starts coming out and the weak hands panic sell making the dip bigger.
as you can see there was a lot of buys happening around $10k even with all the FUD and all the dumps that happened. but in the end the pressure of the dump was bigger than the strength of the total buys so it broke down.
I know that a lot of people were just waiting for this price decline under 10 k to start buying but I can't see improving on the global market cap , as you can see we lost more than 100 billion-dollar in just 2 days so I wonder where are those buyers , we need fresh money dude , new participants and investors , the prices will not takeoff again from this point if we don't have new investments on the field . We need people who truly believe in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies not only people looking for easy money for short term . I'm a believer , I'm holding my coins , I will not sell and I will buy more . This is the mentality that we need . That's what you get with the crowd that joins bitcoin nowadays. They aren't believers, they aren't holders, they don't even care about bitcoin. Just about the quick profits.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the risk of mining high?

What kind of risk?
Mining is almost not risky business at all. The bigger "risk" here is just to spend much for the quipment and wait long for the first profits. One could argue that if the difficulty gets too high or you get unexpected downtimes due to rig problems you will not be profitable in the end.

Hey guys, do you have any idea why I cant for example, sell BTX through coinomi? Those two inbuilt "exchanges", change... and shift...something are just not supporting bitcore? Or do I have some sort of error, idk. Everything else is working fine, only during exchange visit I get no founds massage. To be true I was more about buying but seeing that I cant sell, Im hesitated to transfer any additional funds there. Am I forced to use other exchanges, if so than witch one can you recommend?
unfortunately shapeshift and changelly don't support very many altcoins I'd suggest [removed referral link]as that's what I use Bitcore will definitely get on those platforms when some bigger exchanges are added.

Thanks to everyone who helped me with the fragmented wallet / air-drop problem. As we approach the next air drop I just want to double confirm that I understand correctly:
- Assuming my coins are now fragmented across four wallet addresses, A, B, C, D, that are all shown as 'one' wallet in Coinomi - Assume wallet 'A' is my original wallet and air drop registered address - I can now transfer 100% of my entire balance (fragmented on A, B, C, D) all sent to wallet address A, by doing a Coinomi [A/B/C/D]->Coinomi [A] transfer to myself, and this will *not* create some type of recursive crash (since technically some coins on wallet A are being sent back to wallet A)
I just want to be sure this is correct before I evaporate coins by accident....
Yes that's correct, send all your coins to wallet A and you're good to go.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wells Fargo calls bitcoin is a scam

Speaking on CNBC yesterday, former chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo Bank Dick Kovacevich made the statement bitcoin a scam.
"I think it's a pyramid model, it does not make sense, I'm just amazed that bitcoins are not going down," he said on CNBC's "Squawk on the Street."
What do you think about this statement?
Besides the fact that wells fargo = scam. This guy is 74 years old, don't take advice about crypto from people who do not use and/or understand the underlying technology anyway.

He's eligible for legendary, so he gets 1000 merit. Well, "eligible" is random The user is a legendary member now, I assume they already were tagged as one when the initial merit score was calculated. but it would definitely be too harsh to get just 500. I get it now
That's what I got Actually I have been legendary for a few weeks already now. Strange you see my rank as hero. edit; I see my rank as hero as well now, I ranked down? edit2; Seems to be back to normal.

Bitcore and Bitsend InfoGreetings from Blockchain meetup in Essen (Germany) We gave every visitor 0.5 BTX and 2.5 BSD Your Bitsend and Bitcore Team oh man, the people in the second picture look.... really .... well ..... happy and awake! yes, cheers! :-) honestly, that are not the expected pictures to promote a successful meeting, this looks much more worse than a funeral. Not sure what you were expecting, a party with beer and bongs or something? Looks pretty decent to me.

Almost any investment you will make comes with a certain risk attached to it. Bitcoin is no different, and might be even riskier due to it's volatility. But also more rewarding.
