I got the same nonsense request to submit PDF from them.
My assets have been parked there for several years, not doing anything, no big moves, no suspicious influxes or anything. All my assets are legit, but it's not like I can "prove" much, since mtgox, bitfloor, and so many exchanges where I got coin from simply do not exist.
They did not even have the decency to send me the PDF directly. I need to log into their portal? I can't tell if the portal site is legit at all or a phishing attempt..
I hate to pull my assets off because of the diversity of coins and having to hunt down and manage wallets for them all. Jesus.
I guess this bs is inevitable.

where can I find command line versions of Verium? (GUI wallet continues to fail)
|
|
|
Verium 1.2 on lubuntu 16.04 does not exit when GUI front-end is closed.
I have to manually kill the process to get it to stop.
|
|
|
I needed to install: sudo apt install libqrencode-dev sudo apt install libdb5.3++-dev sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev
|
|
|
Was glad to see verium 1.2 auto-update feature kick in and download new version.
however, install did not complete, missing dependency qrencode 3? is this a new dependency. I'll try to install this and try again.
[edit]
more missing dependencies db_5.3, etc.
Please provide a complete list of dependencies and installation instructions. ubuntu/lubuntu 16.04

I tried building a master node All day was spent on it. But... It had returned to WATCHDOG_EXPIRED from the temporary ENABLED Whether Sentinel has not been introduced correctly or is fundamentally wrong ... I want to confirm but there is a barrier of words and it is difficult. If you are getting WATCHDOG_EXPIRED, then sentinel is not running properly (try running it manually from the command line to see what output you get). However, you will still get masternode payments if you are either ENABLED or WATCHDOG_EXPIRED statuses.

Just 600 blocks to go. The fork will happen in about 20 hours. Still a lot of nodes and masternodes not upgraded. If you don't upgrade, you will be forked and be left behind. Please update. https://github.com/mogwaicoin/mogwai/releasesyou can check your version from the command line or debug window: command line: ./mogwai-cli getinfo (look for "version": 120204 and "protocolversion": 70209) debug window: getinfo (look for "version": 120204 and "protocolversion": 70209)

Check your Masternode statuses. Upon restart, the masternode tries to resume but because of a network protocol change will get "not-capable masternode: protocol mismatch".
on masternode you can check status with: ./mogwai-cli masternode status (or run masternode status in debug window) on controller you can check statuses with: ./mogwai-cli masternode list-conf (or run masternode list-conf in debug window)
Retrigger masternode start from your controller wallet.

again, no daemon in binary gz files.
I compiled the daemon from the source files (gz), and the version still says 1.1.1.1

Quick pair of questions; if the limit is around 3.6 (or something) billion GEEK in 2036 (or something) then why: 1. The Geek cash explorer shows the top rich address with 174791509.30295783 GEEK? that would be over 174 Billion GEEK, way passed the supposed limit. Am I missing something here like a wrongly placed decimal? 2. How in the world is the 48.39% of the current available GEEKS is already in a single address? then again, am I missing something here? (I think I am not, its pretty obvious ) Explorer: https://explorer.geekcash.org/richlistRichest address: GY4GS8gyQ94PCrFGFcA4jbqFC2NFtD9Ypn 1. yes decimal wrongly placed. 174791509 == 174,791,509 == 174.8 million, not billion 2. there was a premine in initial blocks. I think it was 180 million (5%)

Can you please give me any valid address? I want to test CPU miner without installing the wallet...

Cryptopia is going to "protect my balance" by not letting me withdraw it to myself? That's bullshit. Not acceptable.
More, based on how little time there is before this fork happens (and the lack of specific details involved), there's no guarantee that if they do remit your coins, that that transaction would be fully confirmed/honored by both chains. exactly. since there's currently only one chain, their rationale makes no sense. there is no risk of your coins not getting to you. so you have to wonder what their real intentions are. *conspiracy*

the coin is clearly worth below 1 sat, and there is virtually no trading of it at 1 sat.
Find another exchange site that will let it trade at sub-sat market rates or there will never be sufficient activity and interest for this to grow.

as much as I'd like this coin to succeed, I predict (and recommend) it will need a rebranding before being able to appeal to any sizable market or common usage.
I'm also looking forward to finding out if there are any other worthwhile developments and use-cases to come out in 2018 for this coin.

Hashparty was nice enough to set up a pool to do the premine. The idea was to do the premine with real blocks and no "block 0 reward". This allowed us to have a taller and more durable chain on release. I think it worked well except that some people that are somehow offended by it. The pool got a bounty for setting it up and nothing more. The funds are being used for additional bounties and exchange listings.
I would not be offended by a transparent and clearly announced premine. I was offended at finding that without any explanation, and only after I had invested time mining and exploring the coin. And having someone explain it after the fact still seems suspect, as you can say anything you like at this point to explain it away.
