1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Where to keep alternative coins safely for free ? on: April 08, 2018, 04:38:46 PM
I think the best place is that altcoin's official core wallet.

Not being able to speak English =/= spamming and being dumb.
3  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merits (guide) on: April 06, 2018, 07:30:16 AM
Anot

You know I realize from this forum how much I truly don't know about crypto. I can't participate in the mining or wallet or dev threads. I can't even participate in the trading threads because I'm not a TA person.

All I can do is post cat memes. And so many people who can't get merits are in my situation, but they'd rather cry here in meta than improve their crypto knowledge

Merit is given not for begging
It's difficult but it's not impossible

But what if u participate in those threads where they give free merit for silly things, like art review or games and contests, or showing that you have good posts but u have to ask for merit? Is that count as begging?

Can't believe someone could put out so much effort to write a post this long, with pics they made... and yet the whole thing basically is trash with no value and a poor attempt at reverse psychology.

"Here's how to send merit. But don't give me merit pls. No"
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what altcoins can you suggest on: April 05, 2018, 09:38:46 AM
I suggest coins which are just starting out without any premine:

1. EGEM
2. PIRL

because these are ethereum clones with open source teams

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRTL] TurtleCoin - Cowabunga Dudes! on: March 25, 2018, 07:11:31 PM
Turtlecoin devs aren't even finished securing their core client. All their development updates are surrounded around mining and core client stability issues.

Theres nothing beyond that.

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My bitcointalk account is hacked how to recover? on: March 25, 2018, 04:33:05 PM
If you didn't have a bitcoin address staked, you can still ask in Meta, and someone might be able to help you
11  Other / Meta / Re: Does giving merit to your company isn't allowed? on: March 23, 2018, 09:31:17 AM
You need to step back and think about the purpose of the merit system. It is designed to improve the quality of the forum, and not to help families to increase their presence on the boards. Nepotism is counter to the interests of the forum and its members. Merit is meant to reward the quality of your posting, and not the fecundity of your parents. It may not be banned on the boards, but many awarders of merit will put you on ignore to avoid helping you to reduce the quality of the forum.

I agree.

People should not hand merits to friends just because they're friends. They should really do so only if the friends deserve it.

That's like if someone givea you a ribbon and tells you only to merit people who deserve it, the u give that ribbon to your friends because u want to help them out,,,. Wtf

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which banks are bitcoin friendly? on: March 08, 2018, 07:34:52 AM
In my country, the union bank is the most friendly banks wants to accept bitcoin transactions, and as what I have seen on the television news that the manager of union banks starts the training procedure of their employee on how to entertain a bitcoin transactions. Hopefully other banks also follows by accepting bitcoin business. We all know that a lots of banking institutions wants to accept bitcoin business but the reason behind are the future risk because bitcoin is not legally endorse by government.
I thought the same applies to the us! I have a union bank too, and they never complain about coinbase transfers,

But Maybe the staff is just being nice...

Banks shouldn't be able to decide who you can and can't wire money to...
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Original Crypto Coin (OCC) FAUCET AIRDROP! Giving away ALL TOKENS! on: February 18, 2018, 07:28:02 AM
Derfcoin and pdahl seem to be shilling.  pdahl advertising for Deep Onion, and "Derf"coin.

Original Crypto Coin has a Doctorate and MBA member on the team would make them exceptionally qualified in many situations.

A Crypto Coin giving away all of their tokens... and not asking for any personal information and creating awareness about scammers... is a scam? Doubtful

I received my 200,000 OCC tokens for less than $0.008c.

Everything Checks out
Bro. There isn't even such a coin called Derfcoin.

This smells like a scam because of their team. Why is there a random MD?

But if you got your coins, good for you. I guess that means you can create 1,000 eth addresses and send a little gas from each and get 1000 times the amount you currently have...
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Original Crypto Coin (OCC) FAUCET AIRDROP! Giving away ALL TOKENS! on: February 17, 2018, 10:12:52 PM
Looks like a scam.

The whitepaper is almost empty. According to it, the website will apparently be educating new users about crypto and who knows what the coin will be for.

This is also fun. The linked in profile of the first team member:

Rob McNealy
Robert L. McNealy has 12 years of experience in the flooring industry, as a contractor, certified inspector, walkway auditor, and expert witness. He has inspection training in hardwood, laminate and resilient flooring, as well as substrates and subfloors. As a contractor, he has direct experience with the installation of all major types of floor coverings in both residential and commercial settings. With a Master of Business Administration degree, and experience in government contracting, Mr. McNealy is well versed in contract and scope of work analysis. His experience with architectural and interior design planning has honed his ability to properly specify floor coverings for different applications, and his background in site and floor safety has guided his passion for creating for safer walkways.

The experience from the flooring industry might come handy for crypto, right?

And the random doctor was funny toolol. Why do they need an MD?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNICEF asks PC players to extract Ethereum and donate to Syrian children on: February 17, 2018, 06:44:43 PM
This is an interesting project and a worthy goal. But it is troublesome for gamers to switch their system to mining and PC players may be too niche a demographic.

They ought to use Monero mining on a particular webpage on their site and ask everyone to support their cause by keeping their browser on that page when they are not using their computer so as to mine for Monero for Unicef. This is an easy way for anyone to participate... even when in the office, we can just switch on to the unicef monero mining page when we go out for lunch.

They just need to make sure that everyone is aware that their website has a monero mining addon and that all the proceeds are going to help the Syrian children.

i am sure it will be widely received this way.

I like this idea better, and maybe you should pitch it to unicef? It gets everyone involved, from smartphone users to stay at home moms. Could even have a catchy slogan like "1hr on this Web page saves 10 children"
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BAAPPAY - The Evolution of the Payment Platform is Here on: February 17, 2018, 05:38:47 PM
This looks very promising!

Are BAAP tokens already on an exchange?

Oh nevermind. I see you're still in ico phase.

Are you planning to get on etherdelta after you release the tokens?
