Yeah that's the root cause of the issue, try moving to another slot (if available), check on another box etc.
22  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A few questions on: June 08, 2011, 05:04:30 AM
Does it show up in Device Manager under Display adapters.
23  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A few questions on: June 08, 2011, 04:57:54 AM
At current difficulty, a GTX 570 at full power 24/7 would end up wasting more electricity and cannot be offset by bitcoins earned.

Not sure why it's not showing though, what OS is it and PSU?

According to https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison 9400GT does    3.37 MHash/s.

Frankly, I'm more concerned about the prospect of a large foreign power with limitless resources throwing hash generation into the fray.

Bend a few pins and it should be fine  Roll Eyes

You can unlock reference 6950 to 6970. More shaders = win. Just underclock memory and you are good to go.  Grin

Recently bought a used hard disk on ebay, a Samsung F3 750 (since they are out of stock and needed for my raid). Checked the uptime on it, it was run for only 124 hours and benched better than existing HD's. Was a bit apprehensive, but in the end it turned out great!  Grin

I've done CL transactions before, I'm not worried about getting robbed. I'm more worried that he may have OC'd the GPU and damaged it or something like that, and was wondering if the video seemed like good enough proof to you guys.

The Sapphire 5850 Extreme just came out 2 months ago (for $150 MSRP), it should have a solid warranty.

He's probably just an average gamer, I'd ask him to run a stress test for a few mins.

Edit: maybe a video which shows the serial, and some stress tests would be great.

Don't bring money, check it out and offer to meet in a public place (not a parking lot), ask if it's ok to write down his name and address as it appears in his drivers license (if he hesitates, offer yours in return).

Recently a man was robbed at gunpoint when he met a CL phone seller at a fast food restaurant.

For iOS, I found this JSON app called JSON explorer that works pretty well with pools (tested with slush amd Deepbit.net) -- this was not free.

Also saw a new Bitcoin app (of same name) with market data and future wallet support.

Hello gat3way, would it be possible to edit the first post with the 32 bit link.

There's something wrong if we have a card that can perform side by side with a 6950 (GTX 570)

570 more similar to a 6970 than a 6950 just pointing out Smiley Apart from that as the wiki said, AMD's are better cause of their strong integer crunching prowess and higher number of shaders.
36  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme for $150 (availability) on: June 06, 2011, 06:33:47 AM
Those cards ran out a month ago a few weeks after they were reintroduced to the market.

They aren't sold anywhere anymore, and haven't been for nearly a month, and wont be restocked.

Thanks for the answer, I'll just have to search B&M in case they got some stock of these cards. Amazon review suggested one was sold recently, and says they are temporarily out of stock (but yeah it was probably a limited production)

Search before you post please.

I did, what which store were you recommending?
38  Bitcoin / Mining / Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme for $150 (availability) on: June 06, 2011, 06:21:40 AM
Recently (April 21), Sapphire brought back the 5850 and 5830 for very low MSRP ($150 and $130 USD). I've been searching all over the net for the 5850, but it seems like no one has them in stock a month after release. Did anyone manage to grab some of these cards?

Most places have them out of stock : Amazon, tiger direct

Are there any other stores that carry this particular card?  Grin

Are you going to ride the bike shirtless? I want to know what you'd do that's unique, maybe with a bitcoin logo painted on your back?

Acutally I'm not sure what the point of this is  Huh
