6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who are most reliable advisors in ICO projects to trust on: July 22, 2018, 07:45:28 PM
Most advisers I've seen have some sort of experience in their respective fields, either as a CEO of a company that utilizes the blockchain in their projects, or as a board member or CTO. Their knowledge and experience can be of great value to a blockchain/cryptoproject, on multiple levels: they may offer financial advice, organisatory advice, technical advice or help in networking and setting up a brand.
I think most of them are introduced to projects via networking, conferences, summits, meetings, you name it. Sometimes advisors may offer to provide services if they really believe in a project. I assume that, them being an official team member, most advisors get paid using the capital raised from investors / ICO.
Most of these advisors have LinkedIn profiles, so you can check their resume and past experience. Then it's up to you to decide whether they are trustworthy or not. Do your due diligence.  Wink
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about Airdrop on: June 24, 2018, 09:19:58 AM
You can always join multiple airdrops (different projects), but you can register only one account per airdrop. Some airdrops have multiple phases, and most airdrops stipulate that you can join only one phase.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEWARE OF SCAM AIRDROPS AND BOUNTIES! on: June 24, 2018, 08:51:41 AM
Airdrops are fairly safe. It's shady ICOs you should be aware of. Other than that, great tips!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin legal? on: June 24, 2018, 08:43:37 AM
It depends on where youre living. In some countries, governments do anything to ban crypto, while in others it's totally acceptable to use, trade and own bitcoin/crypto.

11  Other / Serious discussion / Re: 2-Factor Authentication on: June 16, 2018, 12:08:59 PM
I don;'t think there is any harm in using 2FA. Privacy is not really a concern for me when it comes to 2FA.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to start trading on: June 15, 2018, 09:22:55 PM
I think the best way to start trading is playing around with a handful of coins and test the waters first, before going bigger and investing your hard-earned money.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading, emotions and your fine selves on: June 15, 2018, 09:19:58 PM
It depends. Sometimes I tend to go with the flow of my emotions, other times I am patient and don't let downswings affect my mood.
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: June 15, 2018, 09:18:48 PM
Sometimes I feel the KYC process is overkill, and it looks like it's fairly easy to fake photographs or document. More of a formality than anything else.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Characteristic of trader on: June 15, 2018, 09:17:31 PM
A good trader is patient and not too greedy.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do if you lose $2,000 in trading? on: June 15, 2018, 09:13:17 PM
If you lose $2000 and you worry about it so much you have to start a thread about it, you've invested more than you were willing to lose. That's the lesson to be learned here.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why choose LONG-TERM TRADING? on: June 15, 2018, 08:52:57 PM
I feel like daytrading would do me more harm than good, let alone give me sleepless nights. So I choose to mostly hold my coins long-term.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are there good sides in a war? on: June 15, 2018, 07:08:54 PM
It's like Jorah Mormont said in Game of Thrones: "There's good and bad on every side in every war ever fought."

Atrocities are committed by both sides in a war, no matter who the aggressor is. War brings out the worst in people, no matter what side you're on.
Then again, not all soldiers are mindless killing machines.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difference between mining bitcoin and buying bitcoin? on: June 15, 2018, 12:17:35 PM
Bitcoin mining is no longer possible on a simple household computer, you need ASICS to be able to mine, and plenty of them too to gain any profit.

Any site that claims theyre mining bitcoin are simply mining Monero or something and paying you in BTC.

Buying bitcoin is easier, although more risky as you're actually investing in it, instead of passively mining it (which also costs money in electricity use)
