81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 US Congressman wrote to IRS to ease tax on POS rewards on: August 06, 2020, 05:46:17 PM
it is interesting for congressmen to deem it interesting for the IRS to ease tax on POS  rewards. loads of people are using alternative ways of transacting without the of intereferrence of government authorities. If they do not consider reducing tax and also reduccing hidden charges in transactiosn, the masses will have to resort to using alternative financial mediums where they will not be charged much aside fees on transactions alone.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Call Bitcoin Blockchain? on: August 06, 2020, 05:41:25 PM
It is true that when a brand becomes a verb or a noun to people, that brand has become mainstream.

That is how popular brands such as Google, Apple and Facebook have become overtime.

But, the fastest one to attain that status is Bitcoin. This digital product was developed by Nakamoto Satoshi in 2008 with the Blockchain underlying technology. Today, that product is called the technology and the technology is called the product.

What I want the forum to discuss is this:
I believe that the application of Blockchain cut across many industries such as healthcare, logistics, insurance, governement, education and so and so forth.
Why is the application of Blockchain to finance has this popularity than application of Blockchain to other sectors?
What do you think?

The part of transcation that has more importance and more concern to people is the financial world where loads of people tend to face independece and also looking for ways to avoid what the government has now turn into tax and institutions now regulate what is supposed to be ones personal property. Finance pulls more crowd than it does in any other sector.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will touch 10,000$ to 12,000$ at the end of 2020. on: August 05, 2020, 06:57:29 PM
I am analyser of the crypto market and this time BTC will make a great pump but i hope that the ETH will also go so much up this year and soon all the ALT coins will go up in the market.

I appreciiate the fact that you are an analyser in the crypto space. please can you be detailed about how and what exactly informed your opinion of ethereum hitting 10000 to 12000 by the end of december 2020 as your post didn't give any detailed analysis.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes to avoid when investing in Crypto on: August 05, 2020, 06:55:25 PM
If you are a newbie in crypto world you are bound to make some mistakes but this thread is for you on how to avoind making those mistakes

1. You dont want to skip the learning part- You need to have an idea of what youre going to even if it is to make a research about it. You have read about an asset before you invest in it to know exactly what they are building.

2. You want to avoid using the wrong crypto exchanges. This is one thing you want to avoid because it can make you lose all your assets. You need to research about the exchange before even registering. Some exchanges have fake volumes and are not transparent enough.

3. You dont want to rely on a single coin- Diversification is very important when it comes to investment. You dont want to put all your eggs in one basket.

4. You want to avoid the fear of missing out (FOMO)- When you see everyone buying a trending coin you dont jump in, it might too good to be true

5. You dont want to forget the basic security. Keeping your private keys safe is very important. As a newbie you should understand how important private keys are. Also 2 factor authenticator shold be added to all your exchanges

Very informative and educating content I must confess. I never really got this piece of information when i started, else, I wouldn't have made the mistakes i made earlier in my crypto life, but i have come to learn it the hard way and it has remained a scar that contnuously shows me the victories i have won in  the battles.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: August 05, 2020, 06:50:48 PM
I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

NOT FAIR.

it has becomes a standard in the industry that people must undergo KYC and this information was not communicated to them early enough, Midway, they get such emails or even from telegram groups and having limited time to fulfill that obligation and they know that it is a strict policy, then they improvise in order not to loose their investments or award  they resort to those funny practises.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or there are others who have same thoughts? on: August 05, 2020, 06:44:42 PM
Is it just me or others think same way? I mean are listed bounties intentionally using bounty campaigns to create hype and before the bounty is over they dump part the tokens making it lose value and make bounty hunters share what's left??? I'm kinda confused with bounty projects that are trading

This is indeed a great topic to behold. I hope to see a better day on the streets of bounty hunters and other projects that tend to work together to achieve publicity. But if the above stated remains the case behind project team and their attitude towards hunters then it is indeed a pity.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BTE] The Bytecoin Information Thread on: August 04, 2020, 03:19:32 PM
I think reducing the total circulation of BTE will further appreciate the price and also give a dimension to the utility. The supply  gives a second view option to the supposed investors and that is enough to drive the price down the valley. Burn or stake BTE and see the Impact it has on circulation.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) Coin Future Price ? on: August 04, 2020, 03:07:09 PM
I see Tron is very strong project Tron Coin CEO Very Active and very hard work. i believe tron coin long term investment coin. TRON coin All-time High Price reached $0.24. now price $0.020638 USD i hope now great time Buy tron coin and hold some years waiting Bright Future

Tron Coin Market Chart

Tron has an ATH og $0.2 but it is still looking for a use case and that will give it a new ATH. Justin Sun undoubtedly has strong marketing skills but in the crypto space it takes more than just having strong marketing skills to win the community. how can you win someone without solving the problem or problems the people are facing. Tron shold solve a problem in real life.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kobe Bryant's death has been used for scamming. on: July 30, 2020, 12:42:43 PM
I have seen an article that talks about the death of the legendary NBA player Kobe Bryant which has been used for scamming people.
Quote
Hackers are attempting to profit from the death of Kobe Bryant by hiding malware within downloadable pictures of the basketball legend.

Researchers at Microsoft Security Intelligence discovered that a desktop wallpaper of Bryant contained hidden software that secretly hijacked a person’s computer in order to mine cryptocurrency.

They called it as crytojacking worm. As expcted, scammers uses this opportunity to take advantage for scamming people. The growing trend has been found within images of various celebrities in recent months, often in the form of wallpapers that can be downloaded to a person’s desktop or smartphone.
Cryptojacking software was recently discovered within high-resolution images of musician Taylor Swift ad the actress Scarlett Johansson.
Cyber security firm Sonicwall registered over 50 million cryptojacking attacks in the first half of 2019, typically in the form of social engineering or other online scams similar to the Bryant malware.
Sonicwall said cryptojacking techniques were evolving but that it remained “relevant as a lucrative option for cyber criminals”.
Quote
“We found a malicious HTML file posing as a Kobe Bryant wallpaper that contains a coin mining script.”

Here is the source.

There is hardly anything hackers don't capitalise on to hack innocent users of systems i am thinking  symposium should be held to further sensitise people on the need for them to be laert and not be ignorant of devises of these hackers. Most hackers capitalise on the ignorance of users and that makes them vulnerable.

To refreshed those who are not aware of the hacks backed in 2016, The Bitfinex Bitcoin Hack: What We Know (And Don’t Know).

According to whale alert:

https://twitter.com/whale_alert

The move coincides when the price of bitcoin is picking up, obviously, these criminals wanted to enjoy their loot and could be cashing it out anytime soon.

unfortunately, there are no traes of the destination of where the tokens are taken to interms of either exchangers or an identified swap paltform. it is quite unfirtunate but then it happens to be under the design of anonymity. although it was not designed for this purpose but then we can not deny the existence of the function.

12 Months of Onchain Data Shows Bitcoin Whales Obtained Hundreds of BTC from Small Fish

https://news.bitcoin.com/12-months-of-onchain-data-bitcoin-whales-hundreds-of-btc-from-small-fish/

the whales have bags of coins and also, most of them have skills of trippling their bags and even more and then get to milk the small fishes holding unto the very little they had and later exposing them to these whales. a clear case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: July 28, 2020, 02:29:12 PM
Let us talk straight. In this trying times some were coming back here in the forum knowing they could get hope to join in bounty hunting and to earn tokens by which then converted to btc then fiat. I know of this because I myself was a bounty hunter before and doing odd stuffs and then I quit due to the fact that many projects do failed or they did not pay and make a good exchange for their tokens rewarded.

Since I have been long gone into bounty hunting(earning tokens) I want to know if bounty hunting promoting an ICO project still earning. How much was the highest paid to you from bounty projects? (for the year 2019-2020 projects only.)

Update: who were good bounty managers nowadays?

i think they system is still the way it used to be, just a few projects pay their huntersand for that reason i only particiapte in bounties that has already finshed its ICO/IEO and are already in exchanges as they wouldn't want to jeopardise their project by holding back on their promises of making payment afetr working.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: July 28, 2020, 02:26:10 PM
The success of projects has alot ot do with exchangers but beyond exchangers, investors still carry out researches on what to do and how to do it and also what things people are supposed to expect of a successful project. the timeline/roadmap and its step by step implementation is also key in contributing to the success of the project.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: July 28, 2020, 02:21:39 PM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now

very very true. i have been in the bounty hunting space for a while and i must confes the hunting business took a turn in 2018 when projects started defaulting on payment to bounty participants and began to render their efforts useless. Then came the option of developers and graphic designers which are skilled jobs existing within the space and getting paid for rendering skilled jobs. everyone shout get a skill that will fetch them money cos bounty ain't that profitable anymore

Coinbase CEO Says Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Must Evolve to Reach Mass Adoption & other BTC news

Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgm7-E3hrHg&feature=youtu.be

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong thinks Bitcoin and crypto must evolve and become easier to use before widespread adoption can take place.

In a new interview with Peter McCormack, the host of the What Bitcoin Did podcast, Armstrong, who co-founded the leading US crypto exchange, says BTC needs to follow the internet’s lead in terms of usability.

“We have not taken any unnecessary risks with [Bitcoin], and we have ensured that it is going to probably survive the test of time as the gold standard, and we may find other solutions with scalability with layer two. I guess the other way to look at it is, ‘What would have happened if we had found a way to safely scale it?’ Maybe we would not have had a need for some of these other chains that have come up and divided focus.

Its the consciouness of all crypto enthusiasts at this particular point in time. The efficiency on bitcoin exists only in the blockcjain space and getting people to utilise bitoin will be first educating them on the blockchain space and then bitcoin. so the massive adoption of bitcoin and crypto is neccessary towards dominace of it through the financial industry.

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is going up day by day.. on: July 27, 2020, 12:22:58 PM
I have noticed many of the alts but ETH is truly a strong competitor in crypto market, over the past few days ETH is showing some great signs which means the price is pumping.

The price have also break new yearly high, eth is absolute gem for Investment. I am sure it is all set to break $300k barrier some interesting story is about to come in this crypto market, let's wait and watch...

lets hope for the better that ethereum is not just makng new yearly high but also giving a non retestable bullrun and also I see the Ethereum 2.0 as another foce that could trigger such a bull market of ethereum price as it has given more percentage than bitcoin bull in the last one week.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal mass adoption on: July 27, 2020, 11:56:02 AM
To the point where he did not acquire required licenses for projects that concerned finance that is run by financial agencies, and regulatory bodies, on that and those accounts i can say 'he is giulty' but for operating bitcoin kind of transaction, i will not say he is guilty as there is nothing as illegal in mass adoption except the goverment has a ban on the technlgy
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC up 42% year to date while Gold did good at 28%. Will it carry on? on: July 27, 2020, 11:49:36 AM
Rather than go by the nuerical increase via the percentage scale of determining the upscaled price of bitcoin as compared to gold, i will preferr to work with the number of people who have gained knowledge of the technological framework of bitcoin and has been the driving force behind the increase in advantageous competition between bitcoin and gold.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: July 25, 2020, 10:17:01 AM
The importance of escrow service can not be overemphaiszed as it gives to an extent some degree of insurance to avoid unforseen challenges that may occur mostly as it conceerns the services rendered by individuals with no corperate entity backings. escrow servie has helped a lot in its own way and should be applauded.
