1  Economy / Services / Re: win88.me - signatures - 0.15 BTC paid up front on: August 27, 2014, 12:49:06 AM
Hi

I'd be interested in adding your link as my signature.
I'm already a player on the site and am investing.

Let me know if you still have the paid signature still on offer.

Cheers

Does anybody know why there is no block reward when solo mining?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MEG]Megcoin | ASIC-Resistant | No Premine | Mandatory Update! | 0.5% TX Fee on: May 24, 2014, 06:30:21 AM

I've been mining Megcoin on a few home desktops for a couple days.

I'm getting a pretty decent hashrate on my proliant ml110 g7 with a Xeon E31220 3.1GHz, it's sitting around 130kh.
Hope Megcoin can get some more support on exchanges and more people getting involved and supporting it would be good too.

How about the Dev suggesting some twitter, facebook, redit etc posts for coin and to get the word out?

Also, a faucet would be nice as its pretty standard practice for most coins to have one.

4  Economy / Service Discussion / Coins-E - Not Crediting Accounts - Not Replying to Tickets on: March 22, 2014, 05:00:40 AM
rant follows  Angry

Dear Coins-E

Thanks for taking my hard earned coins and refusing to credit my account.
Thanks also for failing to reply to any support tickets I've lodged.
I know your all probably busy, don't care, or have simply disappeared with everyone's money.
If you haven't run away, I'll assume then you simply don't know how to run an exchange.

To wrap up, just a small suggestion to help you out?

Pull your finger out and give me my money or bugger off.

Thanks Grin

12  Other / Beginners & Help / Is there a Orbitcoin Mining Pool Anywhere? on: January 08, 2014, 11:34:11 AM
Hi all

I'm hoping somebody out there in the ether can let me know whether there is a orbitcoin mining pool anywhere that actually works lol  Roll Eyes
I don't mind solo mining it, but it would be nice if a pool was actually available.
Anyhoo let me know.

Hello everyone pretty new to this.  I want to start mining and actually got my computer setup to try it with Dogecoins.  Seems cool but I guess my question is what is worth mining?  Seems to me that mining a bitcoin is pointless.  I would spend more money on a better rig and electricity.  My current rig isn't bad but seems like i would needs some r290x or something instead of my gtx7 series.  Is there any one coin that i should be looking into?  Thanks again.

First thing I'd suggest, is read as much as you can, there's lots of tut available, read opinions here and elsewhere and how to mine and in general try toget a feel for how mining works as an idea as well as a practical process.

If you have a rig already, play with various setting, try squeeze every hash you can out of your cards.

You could try the different mining software available until you find one that suites your needs and you feel comfortable with.

After that, maybe start to mine different coins to get an idea of how difficulty works, block rewards, transactions, pools etc

But if you forced me to pick a coin hmmm. I would just suggest any scrypt coin with relatively low difficulty, you might not earn much but when you start to see deposits coming into your wallet its a nice feeling lol Wink

Cheers

This is my first post on the board. I'm really interested in the topics discussed on the forums and I'm looking forward to get some helpful information. I already read a lot of topics and I hope to find answers to the questions I have, or will have in the future.

So far I'm happy to be part of this great community!

Cheers Smiley

Hi mate

I'm new here too.
I've been lurking here on the boards for a while but didn't register until now.
There's a lot of good info to be gleamed from some of the posts on bitcointalk. Also a lot of opinion lol

Have you been mining long?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: January 08, 2014, 08:06:28 AM

For now I just mine the most profitable (per cryptsy) day by day and convert most of them immediately to btc but i think there might be a place for them to stay in the future.

Regarding shit coins, it's actually profitable to mine them. What you think about them does not make a rats ass of difference Smiley

Exactly what I think lol  Grin Roll Eyes

I really hope the seemingly endless supply of new altcoins will slow soon. I also want to see a lot of them simply disappear from the exchanges and boards. This will be healthy for the crypto currency economy. Having so many crap coins out there makes this whole thing look like a joke to the rest of the world. When will the attrition happen???

With 26 letter in the English alphabet we might get 17576 combinations for coins aac ,btc, sxs, mgh, kkk

But since doge has already been listed with 4 , we might get 456976 Alts.
=)))))))))))))0

I kinda agree with some of what your saying and can understand your point of view.
But it makes me think that if in fact there were fewer altcoins wouldn't that result in more miners mining fewer coins and in turn make mining altcoins less profitable and maybe more difficult?
Maybe there needs to be a balance between the number of altcoins and the number of people mining. Just a thought.

Cheers
