cool project, could you expand on the pros and cons of this project vs POA Network?
POA is our closest competitor as we are both addressing the ETH scaling issue but there are several differences.
We are focused on performance/speed and while that is a feature of POA it is not their focus. We have a stated goal to be more than 100x faster than ETH. Our current tests have us at 1000 transactions per second which is very close to 100x ETH. We have not seen any data from POA on this.
Next we are using 50 authoritative nodes versus POA’s 12. Thus, we feel ours is a more secure and trusted network.
Lastly, we are working on actual “smart” contract upgrades. Our view is that the current smart contracts are not very smart at all and our aim is to change that. We plan to launch smart contracts that have the ability to be amended, paused, and/or terminated.
The reality is in the real world agreements often need to be updated, changed, paused or terminated as conditions change.
In closing, our Team built
Iron.io a serverless cloud computing platform to over 1 million transactions per second. Thus, we think we are uniquely qualified to solve this particular problem.
