Great job looks great.
You might want to mount the motherboard on the other side facing your cards. Those riser cables die to quicky if bended.

risers/usb cables are not bend at all

60cm risers are long enough, but always you can use angle usb conectors like this:

https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1CM6KPFXXXXauXVXXq6xXFXXXI/PCI-E-1x-to-16x-Mining-Machine-Enhanced-Extender-Riser-Card-Adapter-with-60cm-2-feet.jpg

more pics soon, maybe tuesday

PS

whole case is made by hand (hand drill/ hand threaded) base is 24x28 bcoz i have 24x56cm sheet of aluminium plate at home so i decided to not order new one

i decided to make it by hand bcoz for CNC I will wait 1-2 weeks

temperatures - 62-64*C at 45-48% fans speed

motherboard on pictures is gigabyte ma-790fx-dq6 am2+ (5x pci-e with powered molex) + i added pci-e multiplier 1x pci-e x1 @ 4x pci-e x1 (8 gpu in total)

(mobo + cpu + ram - 40eur, multiplier 20-22eur) total 60-62eur - i think cheapest 8x pci-e BTC mobo cost about 90-100eur (without cpu/ram)

cheap and I dont have to mess with all that bios settings like pci-e gen,4g encoding or all that crap, 8 gpus works plug and play

I know, I know hot air goes up, but i tested it horizontally as well and then i had maybe 2-3*C less temps, the same noise (tested with 4x1060 and 2x1070)
case have room for one more gpu (total 7 risers inside, and maybe i can add 3 long gpus on top or 4 short ones) via pci-e multiplier

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethOS - Ethereum Mining Platform on: September 10, 2017, 02:31:48 PM
thanks

do you know power usage ? (i mean real - from socket)

i tried ethOS and i just get very high power consumption in comparasion to windows mining

you can use globalpowertune option or set each rig with pwr switch

globalpowertune 90 (means performance level state  max 90 watt for nvidia gpu series)
globalpowertune 2 (means dpmstate for amd gpu series)
or
for a1b2c3 rig name
you can use

pwr a1b2c3 90 90 90 90 90 90 (6 nvidia gpu max 90 power consumption)
pwr a1b2c3 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 (6 amd gpu dpmstate)

you are the man Cheesy

thanks

so if smb interested specs for 1060

I have 4x gtx1060 6GB:

windows msi afterbuner:
powerlimit 70
core -400 or 0 or + 100 doesnt matter
mem +600-800 (depend how good is your gpu) with 600 you should get about +22,5mhash with 800  24,5mhash

total power consupmtion 395W

ethOS
globalcore 1200
global mem 4900 (5100)
globalpowertune 85

each card hashing 23,00mhash (23,5)

total power consupmtion 395W (with global powertune 90 i got 420W)

one more thing - if I put mem @  5100 there are really works at 5100mhz?
bcoz will be very strange (windows 4500mhz works at the same speeds as ethOS @ 5100)

I wish there was a trial of this OS.  I'd hate to spend $39 and not be able to get it work.

if you make a little digging you can download it free,
I did that and after week of testing i bought it Wink

1.2.4 was a RX dag fix, but for some reason it also made my 1070's faster... was hashing at 30.2 now its going at 32.23... they probably fixed the tables which dictate the overclock speed.

config?

globalcore ??
globalmem ??
powertune ??

btw i just checked gtx1070

windows7 mem +725 (4500) 32mhash @ claymore
ethOS mem (4800) 31mhash @ethermine/claymore - same speeds

core 1550/1600 (-400) or 1700(-200) doesnt change anything

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low Hashrate Mining Ethereum with GeForce GTX 1070 on MinerGate on: June 13, 2017, 03:14:10 PM
I tweaked my GTX 1070 like this, as suggested by user "Shoo" in a comment here: http://wccftech.com/ethereum-mining-gpu-performance-roundup/

70 % Power
-200 MHz GPU clock
4450 Mhz memory clock
Fan: 55-65 % (depending on temp)

Result are nearly as good as before with less power consumption. I will measure off the wall wattage soon and post it here.

this is my first day of mining from 3 years (earlier I mined btc by 5870 and ltc by r9 2xx)

today I built simple miner on 2x gtx1070 FE

stock win10
stock drivers

ethminer 0.9.41-genoil1.16

I not even put my wallet in this - just unpack and start ethermine-stratum-CUDA.exe

stock speed 42-45mhash

after tweaking (-200 core 4450 mem) i got 57-59mhash stable

ok sth is happening right now

0-115k blocks - synchronizing 10-11hours

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.8 Required Update on: August 31, 2014, 07:56:40 AM
hello
I installed fresh dogecoin and litecoin wallets on new pc and put old wallets to folders.

I start synchronized them and LTC (151weeks) was done in, i dont know 2-3hours?

DOGECOIN start on 34weeks , after 10 hours i am on 27weeks about 110k block generated>

why dogecoin is synchronizing so slow?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 15, 2014, 07:54:02 PM
they should refund 100% to everybody

They get 1,6mln pounds minimum, if they put them to bank for deposit- in half year they should get about 40-50k pounds

easy money, 95% ppl wil be happy.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 12, 2014, 03:46:49 PM
I am looking at unofficial pre-order list and Do I looks right?

1,5mln pounds orders within 10days  Shocked Shocked Shocked

If this is a really scam I am wondering why they dont make any FAKE prototype (just fake pcb + some heatsinks) or maybe FAKE rack chassis - it will be cost max 500pounds even less, and they can scam more people for doing that.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using PCI-e Multipliers? on: April 02, 2014, 04:16:00 PM
OK its done

I think hashrates will be the same as plug directly to motherboard.

On 3x 280x i get 590/690/690 (I hate 280x personally) sometimes everything work ok 700-720 each card, sometimes one get slower hashrate (doesnt matter multiplier or motherboard)- I cant explain that

anyway
I change mining on keccak SHA-3 and now everything the same.

Later I will try to put 4x 270 on multiplier and 3x 280x on mobo.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using PCI-e Multipliers? on: April 02, 2014, 02:50:35 PM
dont have any proof for now but, I make rig today  - 4x 270x  direclty from motherboard (asrock btc) and  3x 280x (on multiplier).Everything works fine (speeds 600/720/720khash @ 280x and 450each from 270x) this 600khash thing is normal for me (even without multiplier one card is slower sometimes)

ghetto mounitng and bad nokia e70 pic (also I have bad light in mining room)

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using PCI-e Multipliers? on: April 01, 2014, 06:40:29 PM
I am using usb risers so power of pci-e doesnt matter for me.

Anyway, with usb risers and without molex, multiplier doesnt work.
So you have to plug molex connector.

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using PCI-e Multipliers? on: April 01, 2014, 08:18:45 AM
in windows everything works OK

I will test it at mining later
