Today, we will tell you how things are going in Android development, explain new functionality and show you a few fresh screenshots. Debugging Before the LaunchSince the project is gradually approaching the stage of the first public release, we are increasingly focusing on the sustainability and the correct work of the application. If the last time we talked about a biggish list of bugs that had been fixed, then this time we have reworked the layout of both mobile applications. The new version became much lighter. It allowed us to increase applications’ effectiveness on all devices. Also, we simplified the interface. So as the test results show, the app is more intuitive now. Very soon, you will be able to test our achievements by yourself! Android-Version Is On Board!We are happy to announce that, as we assumed earlier, the Android-development team has overtaken the iOS team, and the recognition technology has started to work in the Android-version of the application. Yes, we still have a lot of work and tests to do, but another big target is behind. New Features: Video Data Saving and ID SigningThere is a new function of playing the saved video in the web version and both mobile applications. Moreover, if the video was not saved for whatever reason, Faceter will notify you and even name the cause or error. its current position of already working product is really impressive . According to the roadmap, in 2019 Faceter will introduce body recognition. So even if the face is hidden, Faceter surveillance systems will be able to recognize a person based on their height, weight, and build. Sex, age, race, and even emotions are being worked on in 2018. I will be looking forward to their next developments and potential partnerships as the whole idea feels really fresh and potentially massive.
Finally, the person who did the homework and read the whitepaper. I also see the huge potential of this application and endless needlessly. The number of places where it is used and where CCTV will be used for surveillance is almost unlimited. To this should be added with automation and smart cities and smart homes offer next potential huge sales outlets. Faceter has a bright future. |

Faceter is one of the first Companies to integrate blockchain technology and video surveillance systems for security. But at the same time, we should not forget that traditional analog systems are still in great demand from consumers who are not yet ready to use high-tech products in this field.
Analogue systems are starting to be displaced by the owners as well as by the authorities. The European Union has entered into a regulation called GDPR which says that people's data, including face images, must be encrypted and stored without the ability of third parties to access them. And on the request of a person who is within the range of the camera, all the recordings on which that person is recognizable must be made available to him free of charge within 30 days from request. In analogue systems, we are not able to put so many employees to view archival materials to search hundreds of thousands of hours of recordings to find one face. Cities with CCTV, banks, shopping centres, supermarkets etc. will have to change systems to digital ones with the possibility of face recognition. The penalty for not meeting EU requirements is huge and amounts to 10 million euro or up to 2% of the annual global turnover of an enterprise. Faceter buyback program and a description of how it will work: After Faceter starts making a profit, it will allocate ~20% of our revenues to buy out FACE tokens to replenish the reserve pool on a quarterly basis. The buy-out price will be based on the market value of FACE token, but not below its nominal value.
