61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] THΞ GREEŠ PIT - A pyramid with random and strategic elements - JOIN US! on: April 12, 2016, 10:53:40 AM
I don't get why people choose to deposit in pyramids that require hundreds of ETH in deposits before they can get a payout. This one has a lower entry barrier, a more interesting theme and awesome, unique mechanics. Maybe the average ponzi player is too stupid to realise the value?

Anyway, we're not going anywhere. Sooner or later we'll become more popular Cool

And he just scammed everyone, looks like he cashed out after getting caught messing with Rubixi
lol, whoever got scammed deserved it, we warned you guys plenty that this guy was not trustable.

No worries, I like to do things myself. I'm keeping it simple this time. I just need to create the header of the page and upload everything to the server, so the website will be live tomorrow.

Actually this made the game a whole lot more interesting Grin

i liked that old cartoon where there was a carrot on a stick and the animals went after it

the concept is very funny  Cheesy
Thanks, that was the goal, to have a contract that doesn't take itself seriously, while being actually better than others Cool

The website isn't finished yet, having a hard time putting everything together (the coding is already sorted out for the most part, it's design I'm struggling with). I guess it should be ready in 12~24h. I don't like to release half-assed stuff. Stay tuned!

I don't know how this is even possible. Anyway, the contract still works, so just because you're not profiting from fees you shouldn't tell people not to invest. There are a lot of people waiting for their payouts.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] THΞ GREEŠ PIT - A pyramid with random and strategic elements - JOIN US! on: April 11, 2016, 05:25:42 AM
Fixed the decimal digits on the website so the numbers are less confusing, now they look smaller Tongue

The website should be ready tomorrow; it's a shame I couldn't finish it in time for the weekend. Anyway, the community seems to be sleeping... hopefully that'll change if we can get listed on the dapp directory once we have the site.

Ether price has been dropping a lot, so the cost of joining is quite low now, while the potential rewards are great Wink

This would have been a good idea if you had done it when you already had 4-5 well established and profitable apps. It's pure speculation otherwise.

With ether value having almost halved since PI day, it's a great time to try to make up for that loss by gambling! You're not risking as much now, and the potential reward is great if ethereum becomes mainstream. In other words, it has become a lot cheaper to join the pit, and thus much easier to get your payouts if people start realising this.

If you want minimum risk with a small investment then you should also try my other dapp (5ETH max deposit, x1.2 profit):
>>> Carrot on a Ethstick <<<
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] EthBank on: April 10, 2016, 01:07:48 AM
Its a very interesting investing game, i will invest in this soon , it has a big future ahead

it can grow to 1000 eth

Definitely, this is a 1000 ETH+ app.

And it also helps grow my EthVentures, which is a 100,000 ETH+ app.

Both have huge potential ahead!  Smiley

duster is there any simple quick way to calculate that? to see where in line you are and how much before your payout? also for greedpit? thanks
You can use the Mist wallet as stated above, or wait until I finish the website (1-2 days, I'm a bit slow).

Awesome, thanks! I'm busy with the Ethstick website now, but I'll add it soon.

Here's a picture guide for anyone interested in playing Ethereum games but having trouble sending Ether:

http://rubixi.comlu.com/myetherwallet-howto.html

It shows how to send a transaction from MyEtherWallet with an increased "gas limit" so that it goes through successfully.
Great work, I heard you made it! Thanks for adding my contracts. Can I add the guide to the greed pit's website?
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Carrot on a [ETH]STICK, the ultimate ponzi game - Ranking - 120% - 5ETH max on: April 09, 2016, 07:14:27 PM
In spite of the exhaustive testing, it seems a bug slipped through. The last position of the ranking doesn't show the right value, it seems to show the most recent deposit. I've increased the ranking size to 16, and I'll make sure the website only shows 1-15, which should all be correct values.

That being said, the new slots (10-15 in the wallet interface) will be empty until new deposits are made  (it doesn't check for existing deposits). If you already deposited, depositing more will update with the right value. This doesn't affect the game logic in any way, it's just a display issue, so don't worry.  Smiley

Edit: In other news, the greed pit is having a promotional fee for the weekend.

What wallet interface? I want to play, but how do I know how many player are before me?

Thanks in advance.
Greetings! If you're using the Mist wallet you can "Watch Contract" from the contracts tab by providing the address and JSON interface provided in the first page of the thread. That'll let you see the current stats of the game (who invested, how much and if they've already been paid).

I'm making a website for the app, so you'll be able to see those stats there soon without so much hassle.

Hell, I wouldn't even trust myself. Common sense above everything else Wink

If you dont trust yourself, then how can you trust yourself to make a 99% bug-free code Cheesy

That is real common sense there my friend Cheesy
Trust myself with the money, I meant. As for the code, that's what the excessive testing is for, to make sure I don't fuck it up somehow.

Congrats on the new payout, and thanks a lot for including my contracts in your how-to guide!
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ETH] EthVenturesFinal on: April 09, 2016, 06:55:51 PM
I make plenty of testing before releasing my apps to the public. And bugs can indeed slip through, as happened with my app, but it wasn't in the important part of the logic, which is the one that handles the users' funds, it was just a display issue in the ranking.

If I'm not 99.99% confident that my app won't break I don't release it. That's why the destroy function is not needed. I understand that nobody would trust the app if I could just run away with the money any time I wanted, just like I wouldn't trust someone else's app. Hell, I wouldn't even trust myself. Common sense above everything else Wink

Kakatsuki, rubixi, the Eth greedpit guy, and the other guy with the dynamic ponzi.

They just make tons of newbie accounts and spam in other's threads or troll there.

Damn, my thread is just under constant attack.

I'm simply stating facts, people can draw their own conclusions.

Thos are not facts, just speculations that are not true.

And tons of trolls are trolling here to destroy the reputation of others.

Yep, surely you are the victim of a conspiracy. If there was no function in your code to transfer all the funds to yourself, I'd be all about supporting your project. I care about people, so I point out the shady stuff I see, that's all.

It's not speculation. I went back and read every reply on the Piggybank thread to make sure I wasn't talking shit. I'm just saying what I saw there.
