1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should I take the HashFast upgrade offer ? Is it worth it ? on: June 06, 2014, 12:18:53 AM
maybe they will get the problems fixed and get back to making chips . The only problem I see after that is they partnered with a company to build systems that does not exist . 3 guys with no company that can be found and they use South Park pics in place of their own photos . This sounds very fishy .

you got that right . I am still hoping to come out of this with no loss . If I knew more about how to setup and run a miner I would just take their upgrade as that would probably be faster but I feel i would be at a loss to figure it all out .
Hopefully they do not loose too much and can pay back all that is owed .

Just some HF news on bankruptcy . At least it is not liquidation and could come out to be a good thing  . bankruptcy judge allows them to sell off 1000 chips and other stuff at market price to raise funds  http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/05/bitcoin-miner-startup-hashfast-strikes-deal-with-creditors-for-now/

that is why i was thinking of other coins to mine with it . Must be some that look promising . Maybe a few bitcoins to help pay for it . Or get a refund and buy from that company they are hooking up with , the ghost company . Sounds like it would be the same chance as getting product from HF . They do not exist but their products are selling at a cheap price ! Better pre order now before the rush gets in .  Cheesy

The recent article about HashFast highlighted how broke they are "due to refunds", and that they are (like you said) sitting on a big pile of chips.
I would take the board ASAP, since you don't want to get tied up in waiting for (a possible) bankruptcy to go through the courts.

ps. This topic probably belongs in 'Mining' or 'Service/business Discussion'...?
Yes I was not sure where to post it so I put it here . Figured a moderator would come along and move it if there was a better spot .

yep I was thinking about that board . I checked and it will not ROI for 6 months at the current rate . But if there is another coin that could be mined with it that looks promising I would try it . I was actually wanting the refund so I could build a good scrypt miner  but I think refund is a long shot .
Even the board may not be an option . They have a lot of chips not boards . The big guys would get them first and then the batch 2 , 3 and on to me in middle of 4 . may not be any left by then . They may offer chips but then what would I do with them .
oh well jsut thinking on a way to avoid suing them . that is a real hassle .
6  Economy / Service Discussion / Should I take the HashFast upgrade offer ? Is it worth it ? on: May 15, 2014, 11:53:00 PM
Okay so HF seems to have a new CFO and admitted they are screwed up .  My problem is that I do not see a refund coming anytime in the next 6 months or longer if they remain in business. So any way since they are trying to get their crap together I was thinking instead of suing them I would take the upgrade to a Yoli 800gh/s board . My question is , Do you think this board would be worth having since it will never ROI as far as bitcoin is concerned ?
I was thinking maybe it would be a good investment for mining other coins with and holding on to until they go up in value . Any coins that are worth mining on this  other than bitcoin ?

Thought I might have a better chance of a board than a refund since they have mass amounts of chips on hand .

No more miner sales . Only chips

EDIT:
MY BAD . Disregard this post . I got an email from the owner of the site . He assured me it is a legit site . The posts that were deleted to make me think it was  just a HF scam site were because it was just not to be a site for selling but one for talking about HF problems .
It now has a section for your selling needs .
 I apologize  .

Just a note on some new forum that appears to be nothing but a BS scam . http://www.hashfast-forum.com/ Opened account and it had a marketplace . I posted a add along with one other person . The marketplace just disappeared . I posted another post asking where it went and that disappeared .
Wonder who is trying to get people to talk . could it be someone trying to get people who signed a certain waiver to do some talking so someone would have grounds to sue them ?

Well anyway I would stay away from it .
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hashfast Delivery of Baby Jets batch 4 on: April 25, 2014, 11:06:21 PM
That is kind of the way i see that agreement . Absolutely enforceable unless it is ruled out by a court or any part of it .
The part I object to as a cash buyer is the attorney fee part . What if they did not pay or something else went wrong to stop payment . Then you would have to go to arbitration as you agreed and would therefore have to pay their attorney fees . That is just not right .
I think this agreement was actually made up for bitcoin buyers . They seem to think they should be paid back more coin then they gave up because the price of coin has dropped . Well that is the gamble they took when they used bitcoin knowing it could drop in an instant . If you gave 3 coins you get back 3 coins just as if 3 100 dollar bills you would get back 3 bills . That is the disagreement that makes this form go to bitcoin buyers . As such I see no need for a cash buyer to be subjected to this form as there is absolutely no disagreement on cash as long as the refund takes place . I also would not sign it if I used bitcoin .

So why doesn't someone throw a wild card into the ring and accuse them of Money Laundering? Believe me, that WILL get the attention of the state and federal authorities. Just a thought.
well as far as that goes I would not think making stuff up is a good way to go about things . Unless one has proof of such a thing it is not very decent to make accusations of that type . I believe in Karma . What you put out is going to come back and see you again . I have no problem complaining about things but like to keep it fair even though the good guy does finish last a lot of the time . Let us not accuse of money laundering when we all know what we intend to do with bitcoins . Unless everyone is just that honest type that will tell the feds they mined some coin and want to pay taxes o it . HA! Oh wait that is exactly what i planned on doing . that is what I meant to say.
They seem to have got in over their head a bit . Perhaps just got over zealous about producing really cool stuff and hit a bad spot in production and found they were strapped for cash after that .  Maybe this will pass and things will work out .

Who's making it up? They've taken your money and won't give you it back. They've lied to you, despite having made millions in sales of products that don't exist. Where's the money gone?
That is true . how ever I think that is not money laundering , maybe I am wrong  . It is certainly wrong and could be fraud . I think if they do not straighten up the mess they have made fairly quickly they may have a big legal problem with the feds over their business practices . They seem to have from what i can tell any way , gotten caught up in the making of cool stuff and tried to pull off running a expensive business on our dime and things went wrong . this is I am sure quite an illegal thing to do . They are required to take measures to ensure that our money is safe and I would think they would be required to keep enough cash on hand or at ready to pay customers back if needed. They most likely spent our money trying to fix things as they went wrong and of course digging a deeper hole in the process.
I am hoping they take care of things and recover . I would like to see them manufacture some asic scrypt rigs as I want to mine some but not with gpu.

<snipped to save room >

They directly lied to me repeatedly.
[/quote]
yes I got copies of emails that note this behavior . I am just trying to be positive and give them the benefit of doubt . Perhaps it will all be good in the end . maybe not but we will just have to see how it plays out .

I just received a nice email from HashFast concerning my complaint. They assured me they are on the ball and trying to take care of this problem . They said people are getting refunds and that it is taking a while but it will happen . I did ask them to think about getting rid of that silly refund form to sign as that makes a person a little paranoid about things .
they told me they would give complete instructions for setting up the yoli evo boards if I took the upgrade offer . Which was a worry for me since I know nothing about this type of hardware .
Things are looking up with this response from them . I will be giving them some time to resolve the issue .
I certainly hope they are moving along in  business as I think they have very talented people on the job and I would like to be checking out their stuff in the future as I think some asic instead of gpu equipment would be a great thing from them for mining them other types of coins which I own some of and would like to mine more but not with a gpu.  Also their prices just can not be beat .
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hashfast Delivery of Baby Jets batch 4 on: April 20, 2014, 04:42:30 PM
I can tell you that getting any cash back from HashFast is going to take a law suit . The San Francisco District Attorney consumer fraud office basically says that they could care less if any company in Ca defrauds you it is perfectly fine and they will do nothing about it with the exception of 4 types of businesses . that being electronic repair , home repair , dry cleaners and some other type . WTF ? Anyone else skirts the law . The Attorney General says they will investigate and send them a letter requesting they take care of the problem but other than that they can only sue for Ca residents in general if they find HashFast is screwing the general public but will use any complaints as evidence if they do to bring HashFast to justice.
So suing is the way to deal with them . How ever dumbasses that signed the refund extortion paper will not have that option . Suing in small claims is a waste so regular court is it . sue for travel expenses to and from Ca , loss of wages while dealing with it , rental car , hotel , loss of expected income from time you could have been mining with their equipment if they had sent it or some one else's if you still had your money and could buy it plus attorney fees and court costs . Could end up costing HashFast a bundle when they could just refund 2600 or a product .
They choose to even ignore all attempts to communicate with them to resolve the problem which lets me know they are insolvent and can not meet their obligations .
If the FTC does not resolve the problem then I will be hiring my families attorney in San Diego to sue them . The FTC has tried contacting me but I am hard to get a hold of sometimes . Hopefully I can get them on the phone this week to further my complaint I filed .

judging from the lack of complaints on any forums that I can find lately most people must have taken the refund option and signed the refund release form that states that you can never post anything negative about scamfast or divulge the contents refund agreement . Morons . they gave up their rights to free speech and the right to take legal action for this and any other problem that may arise in the future and agreed to pay all of court costs and lawyer fees for scamfucks even if they sue the buyers.  This is extortion . ( sign this and give up your rights or we will not refund your money we lawfully owe you ) Same thing as ( hey give us 3 K or we will burn down your house ) No difference .

not me, i'm batch 4, still with an order number active. not a happy bunny.
on a lighter note, i will be hashing 1.4TH/s this week, ordered a spondoolies-tech dawson sp10 - ships out tomorrow.
Glad to hear you are getting something going despite FuckFast and their fraud . I almost asked for the upgrade but knew it would never be delivered by June and quite possibly not at all . I seriously doubt that they will be in business for much longer . They have obviously squandered away all their money they took from buyers and /or filed their personal bank accounts and being an LLC will simply file bankruptcy and only have to give up their business assets to auction . .

Not only has no one received one but no one will likely ever receive one . they pushed the date of delivery up to June . this will be pushed up and up . I asked for a refund ., They gave me a link to a website that deals in paperwork and signatures . they wanted me to sign and send a release form releasing ScamFast from any and all present or future  known or unknown lawsuits for any reason . they claim they would then give a refund . I told them to F*ck off . No more word from them . I have demanded a refund several times . Only refund I have heard of was for batch 1 and that took 3 months . F*ckFast is now insolvent from what I hear . They can not deliver anything or refunds . Their bitcoin wallets have been seized by a court order due to a law suit for not delivering batch 2 .
you can email them and ask for the upgrade offer in place of your babyjet . Look in their faq . it is a board and power supply and cooler . No case and you need to mount it on something and use a controller of your own . Of course this will not be delivered either because even though they claim it is built in a separate facility and they can build them faster , they do not have any .

We need to ban together and sue under class action . It is the only way a small buyer can recover money in law suit as you get many people in on one suit for one money to the lawyer .
I plan on contacting an attorney in Ca Monday to hire for a law suit . I do not care if it costs me more than ShitFast owes me . The bad publicity will harm them good enough .

In the mean time HashFast  here is a word for you . I will continue to post in every forum I can find about the fraud you have dealt on me until such time as a judge forces you to pay me what you owe me or you just do the right thing and pay up . If the latter happens I will then recant all of my postings and give you credit for making it right but not if I have to win in court .

Sad thing is that I would much rather have the now useless babyjet instead of a refund just so I can play around with it but I do not see that happening either .

I can not figure out how you found them online long enough to do business with them . Seems like they come on every once in a while for a few minutes
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining controller for yoli evo on: April 05, 2014, 09:18:48 PM
thanks . A old laptop I have . runs xp so it should work.

Actually I had already asked for a refund and got their standard " fill this legal form out and send it back " BS . I refused to sign it as something is just wrong with that . why not just give up a refund . I since then found this upgrade option they did not tell me about . I already waited since January . Not sure if I want to wait another 3 months plus whatever they add onto that . the way I understand it they already have Evo boards built so maybe they can deliver when they say .
got any idea if that evo board is as good as a babyjet or better ?

I know mining is now a waste of time for profit with bitcoin but I would like to play around with one instead of the refund . thought I would use it for mining other coins and perhaps someday they would go up in value and a few bitcoins would be good just to help it be paid for or close anyway.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / mining controller for yoli evo on: April 05, 2014, 05:16:21 PM
Hashfast is now offering an upgrade of sorts to people they did not deliver their babyjets to on time . They are offering a Yoli Evo board , power supply and cooler . They say you need to supply your own controller . So basically they are giving you a unit that does not operate and has no case instead of your babyjet in a case that would be ready to mine . Not sure this is a good thing . Does the Evo board work better than the babyjet ? Will the Evo board ever be delivered or is it just another thing they do not actually have and will deliver if and when they ever make one?

So what controller is this and how would a person hook it up ? Where would a person buy it at ?  Why don't they just give up a controller with the board ?
