I'm user of RX 470(570) 4GB. The problem is, the DAG file size is already getting too big. Windows 10 takes about 0,5GB of VRAM, and the epoch over #317 is already too big, and the miner is starting to take memory from system RAM, so the speeds slows down from 27-28 to 19-20MH/s. Can i somehow reduce reserved VRAM of Windows 10? And can i choose what DAG epoch to use? Because sometimes when the miner chooses smaller epoch #317 the speed is 27,5 MH/s, but after some time it switches to epoch over #318 and it's bigger so the memory is getting choked and the speed is going down to 19-20 MH/s.

Yeah, it's the GPU memory issue, Windows 10 reserves about 0,5-0,6GB of VRAM, and Ethereum DAG file takes over 3,5GB so my 4GB GPU is getting out of VRAM, in this situation, miner is starting to slow down because the memory speed is also slowing down, due to slower system RAM is being used as a additional VRAM for GPU.

I can exclude all the problems above. I'm not using a riser, my PSU is fine. Right now i'm having over 27MH/s in the benchmark (nicehash) but when mining it goes down to 24MH/s. Sometimes it goes for 27MH/s for a while but then drops again for a long time. I think it's the problem with DAG file size or i have some kind of virus in my PC, because i don't see any other sensible explaination. In 2018 i was mining with GTX 1070's so i have some experience. But i never had Radeon GPU mining, so i really need someone who is currently mining with RX 470-580.

Does someone currently mine with RX 470-570? I was curious, how my ASUS RX 470 4GB is doing at mining Ether (Phoenix miner). I strapped my VRAM, i OCd memory to 1850MHz (Elpida) at 900mV. And i can't get stable speeds. Range is between 12-28MH/s. I was trying different settings and BIOS versions, the behaviour is similar, sometimes it's stuck at 19MH/s for 30 minutes then it goes 27MH/s for 5 minutes and then it goes 18MH/s for another 50 minutes and then it goes for 24MH/s for 10 minutes, and so on. I'm on the newest drivers. Is it normal? Maybe it's because 4GB of VRAM is not enough to achieve stable full speed? Or is it drivers fault?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ryzen 2600 XMRig how to get extra speed

Hi, my rig is Win 10, Ryzen 2600, RAM 2x8GB 3000MHz 16-20-20-38, huge pages on. Im using XMRig for RandomX mining, my speed results are about 2200 H/s reported by NiceHash Miner and 2600 H/s 15 min. avg. from XMRig, config for 6 threads, on 8 i was getting lower results. I read that users of Ryzen 2600 were achieving over 4000 H/s. What can i do to have similar speeds?

Hi lads. My hardware is GTX 1070 and 1050Ti and i want to solo mine Ethereum. Is anyone having a problem with Excavator 1.4.4a while mining Eth?
It mines for few minutes normally, but then excavator crashes, restarts and selects to mine any other algo set but ethereum And if i click "View Details" on my Profit Miner, on the Profit Switching list, in the Profit per Day column, it shows that it "Failed". Also, when i switch to Claymore right after the Excavator crashes, it can't connect to the pool, but after minute or two, it connects. Claymore itself mines Eth without any problems.
This problem occurs with every next Excavator run, no matter what the memory and core clocks are set.
I have 8 GB of RAM and i set 13 GB minimum for Pagefile. What can be the potential cause of this?
I have had similar issues with excavator, so i removed it from my current lineup of software i use.... A little rumor running around is that in one of the more recent versions of Excavator, there is a bit of code that makes it "less stable" if the stratum address isnt one of the ones listed from nicehash... I just found out what i didn't noticed before, besides that sometimes first one or two jobs are accepted, Excavator rejects all next jobs (Job not found) and propably that's why it shuts down. Im using mininghubpool, didn't used other pools. I tried to run Excavator from .bat without Awesome miner, and it works same, no matter if i set port for single or for all coins. Maybe you were right about Excavator's pool "fussiness".
