1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Full Disclosure] Live mtgox.com trade matching bug. on: June 28, 2011, 05:58:17 PM
I cannot guarantee this order will execute but from everything I've observed about the new trade matching code I have no reason to believe it will not.

It will not execute, and I told you it'll be fixed in a couple of hours. Thanks for disclosing this before.

Yes, it is all our fault:

<molecular> anyone know what that weird spike around 18:00 is? looks erroneous to me, no? it went up to 17.52 apparently, but my order at 17.25 did not get filled.
<MagicalTux> molecular: it's the closing of a bug, some orders were blocked and are now freed

It is because we let such people have our money!

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wikipedia wants to delete Satoshi Nakamoto page. HELP!! on: June 23, 2011, 07:13:26 PM
They are suggesting redirecting the page to the Bitcoin page. This is actually a good idea, as pretty much no-one knows if that is his real name, who he is, where is from, or anything. Wikipedia is supposed to be filled with facts, not speculation and random quotes from a person who may or may not exist.
The page is already strongly linked to the bitcoin page. Thus a direct redirect is not an argument.

Nonetheless, I have voted a Strong Keep, for the sake of the community. ^^
Good.

6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Distributed Bitcoin Exchange on: June 23, 2011, 06:02:31 PM

I totally agree with the major thrust of this: A peer-to-peer OTC style exchange. The OTC bitcoin exchange is limited by the IRC technology and is just not efficient. ...

For me the significant difference to your later proposal: With otc I need to build up trust only with a few individuals. Which needs a certain care, this is true.
I prefer to do so instead of some anonymous or pseudonymous agents I do not know much about.

For example: As comes out MtGox is NOT the original Magic the Gathering Online Exchange people but someone they just sold it to. Why should I trust them? Or Trade Hill or Bitcoin 7?
How did they earn my trust?

I'm going to find a serious forum on bitcoins....

What a crowd.

Sorry if I've included some people unfairly in this description.

Yes, everybody not agreeing with you is either inserious or crowd aka idot.

Your "sorry" makes it only worse.
