401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science education, research, & development on: October 04, 2014, 03:43:28 AM
Hi all

We have an urgent need for a working, reliable block explorer for EMC2.  Unfortunately this is going to cost 0.05 btc for 6 months for a block explorer however it does come with search functionality & hosting is included: example http://root.explorer.ssdpool.com:9083/

A rich list can also be included for an additional 0.04 btc (for 6 months) - total = 0.09 BTC

We are open to donations to fund this much needed functionality. If any of you would like to assist with this can you please send whatever you can afford to this unique donation address - EU4P6pey6uXy8a9Xtog4ZxeeNS5PGDBx5t (as noted in our ANN post on the 1st page of this thread).

If anyone would like to sponsor this for 6 mths or more, we will place your sponsorship banner/logo/message on the site. If you are interested please let us know here or PM myself or Armis with your requirement.

Edit: Correction made to costings as above (thanks to Armis for pointing this out)

402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZedCoin 2.0 [ ZED ] - Now Trading! on: September 28, 2014, 01:10:42 AM
Well I finally got a response from the coin dev https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/6375-1billionhex-the-game/page-6#entry134086

Let's hope he provides us with an update soon and gets this 'intentional' fork fixed.
403  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: September 28, 2014, 12:48:25 AM
This is the most confusing claim so far today:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/8483/hashlet-selling-methods

Quote
The reason we are using the Buy Back Program for Hashlet Primes is to start buying them out of circulation. This means that GAW will buy them back and not re-release them. We are going to start decreasing the amount of Primes in the wild to make them more valuable.

But as far as I can see Primes are still for sale and will remain so according to this:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/8471/introducing-the-hashlet-store

Quote
Hashlet Primes will Remain $50 Each!

Josh advised they 'would not always be for sale', but didnt say when they would be withdrawn. I did query him on this (in view of the fact the Prime's @ $50 would be a real money-spinner), asking what he intended to replace it with but got no response. My biggest concern with the site is the vagueness about their plans moving forward. Granted, it may just be they dont know exactly what they are going to do in the future and simply have ideas at this stage, but I find such responses (as above) are simply made to generate an urgency to buy without really knowing if their a good buy or not. Who's to say he wont release a 'Super-Prime' in the future, for example, thereby possibly reducing the value of the over-priced Primes by 50%?

I also find the 5% fee for the buyer AND the seller (10% total) quite exhorbitant. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt this more than ebay & paypal charge on a single purchase combined?

have you idiots not tried changing forums and locations like 3 times already?

what is the problem ?

Dimwit has many problems. Just ignore him, he's the resident troll. He only comes out from under his bridge after a new post.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Einsteinium coin - New POLL on: September 27, 2014, 07:20:23 AM
"it doesn't matter to me if its included, but I like to see it"

May be once a month. More important is the work done about the coin's popularity and progress of projects.

Of course. This is simply a question about whether reference to the coins valuation should be included in the Report to the Community. Nothing else changes.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZedCoin 2.0 [ ZED ] - Now Trading! on: September 27, 2014, 03:21:49 AM
Looks like posts on the new game (1BillionHex) on Cryptocointalk has also dried up and the link to their 'holding page' comes up with a 404.

At the moment Zedcoin is looking like a dead body on the ground waiting for 2 more bullets to be pumped into it for good measure..
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZedCoin 2.0 [ ZED ] - Now Trading! on: September 27, 2014, 02:26:18 AM
Well it seems the dev had great plans for the coin (including being used as currency in a new upcoming game that was in development), but it looks like the dev dumped & did a runner.

408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / New POLL on: September 27, 2014, 02:17:20 AM
Ok, so its been pointed out to me that our previous POLL probably wasnt put the community as best it should, so I have started this new poll with a modification to the questions & available answers.

Please let the new EMC2 board know what you want by voting in our poll  here

Actually the 35 second video was organised by AxisMundi..  Wink

Yea, he paid for it too...

Btw, I was chatting to him last night on Skype and suggested he copy/paste the original ANN post into a new 'troll-free' moderated thread. His concern was this thread has had X amount of views already and so many pages but I pointed out to him I still think it would be a better option, particularly in view of the fact he cant change anything in the ANN post as he has no access to the account, & in view of the relentless trolling in this thread.

What do others think?

411  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: OMG difficulty to hit 40,000,000,000 at current rate of increase on: September 26, 2014, 10:45:22 AM
I'm still of the opinion BTC will eventually die & that it was simply a prototype.

Its old, out of date, and 14m coins is nowhere near enough not to mention probably millions have been 'lost'.

Looking forward to something (maybe a current coin?) to supersede it...

$300+ shipping to Australia?

I dont think so....
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: September 26, 2014, 09:03:13 AM

The Dev's have gone. I have my doubts that they even read the posts here, or even if they can read English.

It's all seems a waste now.

This coin had the potential to be trading with massive price gains, and superior usability possibilities.

Is what doesn't fit is that the developers probably could of been well on their way to making themselves millionaires. They already have done alot of work. Why stop now?
None of this makes sense. There throwing it all away.

Now this thread is like a broken repetitive record. Becoming a waste of time.

Maybe a 'takeover' is required?
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Report To The Community on: September 26, 2014, 08:36:23 AM

So officially most up to date wallet version is here: http://downloads.einsteinium.org/wallet-win (einsteinium-qt1.1)?

Correct Smiley

Re Report To The Community

Hi all,

I have had discussion with Armis regards our regular reports, and its lack of reference to current EMC2 price. We have agreed there are two times when the report should include such a reference:

1. When we get some indication of some imminent radical change in the market

and

2. If a long time has passed since the last valuation was given

Our conclusion is that if we make reference to it weekly it could become a crutch for some people, and could (or will) shape the market, and not just protect it.

However, we have also agreed the question should be put to the community.

The poll can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=797908.0

Please vote & let us know your preference.

Does anyone happen to have a working link to the 2.0 wallet source code?
I've been ninja browsing through the source code from github this past week and wouldn't mind taking a look at the 2.0 code to compare for functionality and possibly extend the limited functionality (to be brief I'm a dev just getting into crypto as well as mining  Smiley).
I couldn't get the link previously posted by Ryan to work, although for the first time in this past week I did get einsteinium.org to load which lead to another discovery:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8xy6Sn-0UHQRjVXSHlMWWxSUHJHS2dFT0tGdDJOVXJmQjBB/edit. Figured it might be worth mentioning if it wasn't already known (way too lazy to read 250 pages worth of posts from before the community took over).

Hi

Please PM me if you still require a wallet link. I don't have it handy but can dig it up if required.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2014, 02:13:28 AM
I am pleased to announce our first crowd funding platform just went live! Please check out the link http://igg.me/at/carboncoincanada If you are having trouble convincing friends to buy into Carboncoin this is your chance. They will be able to obtain Carboncoin by donating to the cause as well as have a tree planted. Check it out!

How did you make the 35 second video?
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science education, research, & development on: September 25, 2014, 07:01:00 AM

The lead dev of EMC2 doesn't feel the coin is worth 150 satoshi for 1 million coins. Red flag.

LOL..the only red flag here is the one your waving with the words 'TROLL' missing from it...
