"If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash. Why isn't the whole damn plane made of that shit?"

lol for the same reason cars are no longer built like tanks. Engineers discovered in the 70's/80's that their much better off making cars with 'crumple zones' to take the shock of impact. In the case of the black box, firstly, it is not located on the outside of an airplane but is surrounded by other material to absorb impact of a crash, and secondly I read somewhere they are encased in an impact absorbing housing. Even then they can still suffer damage.

hey spoetty , can u photoshop that whale so hes smiling. Maybe we could use him as a mascot?

Good one! Got to love Family Guy!

mLTC markets are closing on coinedup, I sort of expected this as we were the only coin listed.
IMO mBTC is a much better trading pair given the relative stability of BTC.
Still I think we should be looking for more exchanges, any opinions about bter?

CARB is top of the vote list here https://comkort.com/vote/#CARB - Get voting, go go go!

552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GAWminers.com fake or what on: July 24, 2014, 05:07:59 PM

This may be a bug in the API. Please ask customer service on hashtrader to be sure.

Yea I logged a ticket with gawminers support 2 days ago asking the same question. Still no answer. The best I got was 'we will get back to you' lol. Their support sucks. I'd hate to have an open order with them and have to ask whats going on with it...  Roll Eyes

Can anyone confirm international shipping on orders over $300 is free? I placed an order that let me select free shipping to Australia though elsewhere on their site it says free shipping only to the US  Huh

There's no need for all this...ASIC's will end up killing a lot of crapcoins  Grin
555  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] MoonAsics - Scrypt ASIC 240 to 960 MH/s - Scheduled for August on: July 22, 2014, 07:56:40 PM
Yea, i've been watching this thread but seems the MoonAsics guy hasn't bothered responding to anything anymore...

That and given the OUTSTANDING efficiency of this from a brand new company - I'd have to conclude scam as well. Plus they only take BTC, so no refunds.

Mods please close this thread

why? - the mods have not closed any threads where there's bashing of companies going on that have actually delivered miners - so why close this - it's best to keep the scams in public sight so no one gets duped.

They could just add [SCAM] to the thread subject line and close it. Makes more sense to do that - if they open a new thread they will get the same flak and anyone searching for 'moonasic' threads should find this thread no prob (as another warning).

557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CARBONCOIN: The Completely Carbon Neutral Cryptocurrency on: July 22, 2014, 04:22:32 PM
"Carboncoin has 3 central wallets for our operations: One for funding development tasks, one for distribution - bringing new members and users to the community, and the most important one held by The Carboncoin Trust for our environmental projects. The most important element of all of these is that all funds held in all three wallets have been independently mined or purchased by the community and donated out of pure kindness and a will for Carboncoin to succeed. Carboncoin as a result, despite being similar to many crytpocurrencies in terms of technology (until we implement our final update to become the most energy efficient coin out there) and widely copied by other existing coins, is fundamentally impossible to replicate."

- More can be read about the future path & development of Carboncoin on our forum @ http://carbon-co.in
