61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 13, 2013, 12:23:34 PM
Lol, no. It's just so annoying that they didn't bought anything yet. The whole world is waiting on those yellow fuckers and they keep disappointing us.
I'm very angry atm.

And no, i didn't put more in it than i can afford  Grin

Why exactly would we be 'waiting' for them, and how can *they* disappoint you? Maybe you anticipated it, or maybe you hoped it. Thats all.

Don't think short-term with cryptocurrencies, that'll just get you disappointed all the time. I bought QRK for the long run, not just to get a quick profit in a few days.
It's pretty hard not to think short term when we are talking about something created in the last 6 months that has risen 700fold in the last month and has some very major news/events in the next week!

Just because something is hard doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt it. It's exactly that mentality that made people spend bitcoins for $1, then $10...always thinking the growth would soon end.

If you are just daytrading it's fine to just think short-term. But I doubt daytraders would get upset about other people not 'giving' them profit - they know it's a dog-eat-dog world.

63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner & MobileMiner: Your Coins. Your Pools. Your way. Win/Mac/Linux/Mobile on: December 13, 2013, 08:32:56 AM
EDIT : Fixed after friendly help of app author.
Seems that a slight misformat of the parameters caused the entire string to be ignored, effectively meaning there were no arguments.

I am having the same issue here : *EXTREMELY* slow performance mining various coins (all scrypt based so far).

Multiminer : 7kh/s
Guiminer/cgminer : 240+ kh/sec.

Very frustrating, since no setting (in the arguments field) seem to make any difference ..grrr... Embarrassed

GPU usage says 100% in afterburner, but temperature is at a svelt 32c indicating the card (7790, latest driver, no overclock) is barely stressed (usual temp : 60c).

Stop with the German.
Yes we do, no worries.

Thats what you guys said before! and look what happened  Grin

Seriously though : So BTC38 basically announced they would accept Quark, right? And now they announce they will not announce any new coins. But they already did. Somehow. Somewhat.

hmmm.

Isn't the coin going to be 'finished' with it's minability sometime soon? Won't that affect the value?
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: December 11, 2013, 11:34:22 PM
I registered mainly because I am willing to participate in the discussion on various coins (trade-related). Other than that I'm contemplating offering various services and goods which can be bought with a number of different cryptocurrencies.

Perhaps not the best subforum to ask such an advanced question. Try it again elsewhere once you are allowed to post in the other forums Smiley
