Not to steal you away from wanting a game + rig. You might want to consider building it on your own, if you want better parts.
On a part for part basis, this computer costs more even if you buy the same parts used on eBay.  That is why I priced it at $1200.  As far as "better" parts, this motherboard is capable of doing anything you want when it comes to overclocking and the CPU can do 4.2GHz without overvolting.  I ran it at stock clocks, because it made no difference in games when I did overclock the CPU due to how powerful it is to begin with.

Would you concider selling the parts seperately?
I am trying to sell it as a whole unit so I don't have to go to the post office 5 times to ship parts, but I am willing to examine any offers.  Please PM me and I will get back to you!

Can you just post the picture? Also is that a firm price $1,200..
I will gather some pictures up and post them by the end of the day.  Also, PM me with offers - it never hurts!

Thanks!

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / XFX 280X Crossfire Mining Setup on: February 22, 2014, 06:27:46 AM
I have been looking around for the answer on why I should disable my crossfire while mining.  I am running this setup:

Intel i7-4770k
ASUS Sabertooth Z87
2x XFX Radeon HD 280x Double D
16GB G.Skill Vengence RAM

With Crossfire on, I get ~ 705Kh/s per card.  With it disabled, I get the same.  Temperatures are the same, and the GPU usage is 99% on each one.  See images below:

With Crossfire:

Without Crossfire:

Am I missing anything or does crossfire not affect mining in a negative way?

Here is my BAT I'm running:
Code:
setx ALLOC_PERCENT=100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o ***(Stratum and user/pass info here)***  -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192

Both cards are running at these settings:
Core clock:  1020MHz
Mem clock:  1500MHz
Voltage :  1.106v
Fan at 100%

*Note*  One card runs about 10 degrees warmer than the other.  Throughout the day one card will be between 74-76 and the other will be 65-68.  I swapped the card's in their PCIe slots and the warmer one is always warmer.  I think it has a thermal paste issue, but does anyone else have any other ideas?

Let's home that the difficulty does not exceed 5 billion by then!....

Maybe they can use the bitfury? For the meantime, until they deliver the prosperos, Instead of increasing the power of our hashspeeds. Can we propose this to them?
I wonder if they would ship me a few of there 40ghash bitfury devices as a customer service resolution for the interim.  They won't be worth much after May anyway, and it looks like they are trying to get rid of them. I would trade 500 Ghash extra for 4 months starting in May for 80-100 Ghash tomorrow.

Love the small coins.  Makes the trades exciting when you see how much they are worth in BTC.

What is with TAG not confirming blocks.  Will it eventually pay out?  Unless I am missing something, TAG is pointless for this pool to mine if no one ever gets paid out.  Anyone have any information on this?

Though the restrictions are troubling when all you want to do is PM someone, I appreciate them.  I was able to find most of the answers to my questions in a matter of a few hours.  If this restriction was not in place, I believe we would have an issue with already answered questions being posted to the forum.  This restriction does enable spam into the "newbie" section, but eliminates it in the important sections of the forum.  Making users search for their answers is a very smart rule.
