1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction with ZERO confirmations after over 2 HOURS on: April 02, 2013, 01:25:34 AM
Ok. Thank you! I'll contact the person sending the coins. I restarted my client before and the transaction was still there...Thanks again!

Bump...5 hours and blockchain has no record of the transaction: http://blockchain.info/search/2176854c0ed2e2a8e6c2f4aeb429e4548452ba59088cc63ff36634cdeae062a4

Is it usual for the transaction hash not to show up in the blockchain block explorer until it has been confirmed? Here: http://blockchain.info/search/2176854c0ed2e2a8e6c2f4aeb429e4548452ba59088cc63ff36634cdeae062a4

If this is an April fools joke...not funny Satoshi Nakamoto
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction with ZERO confirmations after over 2 HOURS on: April 01, 2013, 11:28:38 PM
@mpfrank I do not control the wallet the bitcoins were sent from. I assumed that since the transaction showed up in my wallet that it had to be in the btc network and it would only be a matter of time before it was confirmed....I'll have to have a closer look at your suggestion though. I'm not sure if I fully understand.

If, by sync, you mean downloaded all the previous blocks, then yes. Here is a screen shot to show you. http://imgur.com/iokGRz7

I don't think the transaction I am referring to is listed there. I had an incoming and outgoing transaction of the same amount (2.44) in that wallet yesterday, but this is a third and separate one. Here is all the info my wallet tells me about this specific transaction:

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 4/1/2013 14:22
From: unknown
To: 15s17qYWvj9vTJrjKnywGPiduM7NvbhNx7 (own address)
Credit: 2.439 BTC
Net amount: +2.439 BTC
Transaction ID: 2176854c0ed2e2a8e6c2f4aeb429e4548452ba59088cc63ff36634cdeae062a4

It looks as though blockchain doesn't see that transaction ID at all.... Thanks for your help so far!

Just curious, where do you see 150 confirmations? My wallet says 0/6. Thanks!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Transaction with ZERO confirmations after over 2 HOURS on: April 01, 2013, 10:32:35 PM
I was wondering if it is common to see zero confirmations for a transaction after over two hours. I did not include any transaction reward, but I have never had any issues with that before. Quite a few blocks have been found and the transaction wasn't confirmed in any of them  Huh. Should I be worried? Here is the wallet address if it helps:

15s17qYWvj9vTJrjKnywGPiduM7NvbhNx7

Transaction ID:
2176854c0ed2e2a8e6c2f4aeb429e4548452ba59088cc63ff36634cdeae062a4

If anyone could put my mind at ease, that would be great. 2.44 btcs is a lot these days...

Cheers!

Yea, It's pretty urgent, trying to find someone who can show good rep and what not. Yea I'v had offers from people who only have a few posts and no transaction histories which I'm not willing to work with, Just looking for a smooth trusty transaction. The urgency detours me from using escrow, but that may be the only option unless someone reputable comes my way.

But I appreciate the for warning, I won't let my urgency translate to vulnerability, but I will pay over Mt.Gox rates so it's a chance for someone reputable to make a few bucks

12  Economy / Currency exchange / My MoneyPak for your Bitcoins, trusted buyer on: March 05, 2013, 10:41:10 PM
Hey I'm trying to find someone with good forum reputation to sell me about $250 worth of BTC (we can work out a fair exchange rate, obviously willing to go over Mt.gox a bit) I have numerous smooth transactions through these forums and have never had a faulty transaction, Let me know f your willing to sell and can show me some good rep, I can load the MoneyPak within 30 minutes after we figure out a deal, once you get the info you send the BTC, must be trusted seller with rep since I will be giving you the MoneyPak before you give me the coins, I'v got links to many posts showing that all my deals go smoothly, please get back to me ASAP, trying to have coins by the end of the day. Shoot me some offers, trying to spend $225-$300 depending on what kind of offers I get, thanks.

16  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Cash out your BTC/LTC/etc. or exchange credit to Dwolla on: January 17, 2013, 09:59:44 PM
The problem was my client was out of date and it was a bugged version that was unable to download new blockchains,

I backed up my wallet.dat and downloaded the newest version of the bitcoin wallet client, waited about a day for all the blockchains to be downloaded and then copied my backed up wallet.dat into the new clients directory, then started a rescan and the coins showed up instantly.

ThaddeusB was awesome, very smooth transaction on his end, good communication, fair prices, and fast transaction, would definitely recommend this guy.

the thing is it's stuck at 167,000 and its not a fairly new wallet, in fact its very old, like 3 years old, I'v started a re-scan of the blockchain but I was given a new address in the process, hopefully the coins will show up once it gets up to 200,000 or so, got my fingures crossed
18  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Cash out your BTC/LTC/etc. or exchange credit to Dwolla on: January 16, 2013, 10:50:09 PM
I'v used to plenty of times, Just not in the past few months, I think i figured out what's wrong though my wallets block chain is at like 167000, which is very low.

If anyone knows how to safely fix this please let me know!
