2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Banks afraid of cryptocurrency? on: March 16, 2018, 10:56:10 AM
I think they are afraid - it all comes down to control. The Govenor of the Bank of England has already shown his cards on this - without regulation he and the banks have no control.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / RPC Error with Payload on: March 03, 2018, 12:00:32 PM
Hi all, I am trying to transfer Polyswarm (NCT) to tokens from my MetaMask (via MEW) to my Ledger Nano S but the transactions has failed.  The error message is 'RPC Error with Payload' and some code followed by 'Intrinsic Gas too Low'.  I varied the gas from 200000 to 250000 with no difference - any idea what the issue could be?  It also says 'Error in TXN' reverted on MEW.  Thankfully my tokens are still showing in MetaMask so not lost!  Any help would be gratefully received.

Watch out, Friendz ICO POWER HOUR is on the 1 Mar 18.  If you have some spare ETH this could be worth a shot.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Online Dating on: February 27, 2018, 07:45:58 PM
Online dating is great if you are a busy person and don't have time to go out a lot to meet lots of people until you randomly get a compatible match.  The downside is that it can feel manufactured and therefore the 'initial spark' that you might get on meeting someone more randomly is lost through this style of match making.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: February 27, 2018, 03:26:42 PM
There a number of great coins out there and many have yet to be listed on the exchanges.  Following the ICO period there is often a dip as people sell off their Airdrop/Bounty but the good coins recover and build, those are the ones to look for and obviously only invest if there is strong business fundamentals behind the company.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The victory of russian hockey team in Olympic games on: February 25, 2018, 01:29:20 PM
Russia obviously has a real problem with doping but its a shame that all athletes are 'tarred with the same brush'.  I think its good that they are allowed to compete and no doubt they will be 'randomly' tested like the other competing nation's athletes. Specifically on the final itself, I always believed that the Germans would be beaten, their rise towards the top has been swift and if you look at their narrow victory in the semi-final some of the goals came in quick succession with some outrageous deflections and shots - no team could sustain that kind of fortune.  That said, Germany are a great team but still have some way to go (in my opinion) to be considered the top team.
15  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: How to move large volumes of crypto to fiat on: February 25, 2018, 01:22:24 PM
Selling in China is one obvious approach but you need to consider the security implications - yes its easy to sell but how will you verify your payment?  It may be slower but using one of the mainstream exchange services might be a safer option - Bittrex, Bibox, Kucoin etc.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Money 💰💰💰 on: February 25, 2018, 01:07:17 PM
I did the MBA an Cranfield University with a lot of successful people from across all business sectors and when asked if money was the biggest driver in their life not one person raised their hand.  Money will give financial stability to facilitate a person enjoying their life and allowing them to participate in varied activities but you only need 'enough' money and don't need to be 'rich'.  Where I believe it plays a greater part in in retirement when ones earning power is reduced.  At that stage of life a healthy pension or savings can be quite important.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie starting out where to invest $500 on: February 25, 2018, 11:14:47 AM
I would normally advise splitting it between well recognised coins (safer...! investments) and newer altcoins with good teams behind them. $500 wonít go too far though if you spread it too thinly. Therefore I think you should split between the big 3 - BTC, ETH, LTC and work in trying to join the various Airdrops/Bounties to make a start on altcoins.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5k to invest in crypto . on: February 25, 2018, 11:08:16 AM
Invest in the top 3 - Bitcoin, ETH, Litecoin ($3K) and then split the rest between 5 more speculative coins that you think might break through based on some detailed research - thatís my methodology for what itís wirth - Good Luck!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sia coin prediction at the end of 2018 on: February 25, 2018, 11:02:00 AM
What is the reason for the up prediction, Iím struggling to see what this coin has over any other - I worry that hype drives some cryptocurrency valuations as opposed to sound business fundamentals for the product - widespread applicability and useage, strong business backing, longevity (scalability), USP etc etc
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will the winners look like in the next 5 years? on: February 25, 2018, 10:54:59 AM
There are lots of good coins out there but the only ones to break through will be those that have the backing of major corporations - like google, Microsoft, eBay, Apple etc. Investing in those must be the backbone to any cryptocurrency portfolio.
