With the 140A board the chip will not be running at full speed, as it has limited power available to it. Increasing this power will also increase the hashrate.
This is also why we have not provided power specifications. Because the chip is running at a slower speed and also has less power available to it it will also use less power. So the efficiency with the 140A board would not mean a lot.

Not sure if there will be an update tomorrow and what will be in it if there is one. I don't decide that. At the moment we are all very busy with other thing but as soon as there is some time I'll bring up the topic about the compensation.

Indeed the chips will arrive on the 6th.

The PSU's use 12v (X3: 120A, X1: 12A) and 5volts (5A). This would be 1430-1480 Watts. Also it needs to be a high quality PSU, not one with cheap parts.
With the free hosting you will receive an IP address and port to log into your miner. You will have full control of it including setting it up with your pool.

Adrians, it is being looked into to see if this is still possible to organize at the moment.

Dear customers, We would like to apologize for not posting the promised update today. At the moment everyone is extremely busy and the time difference does not help us. However we will post the promised update by Monday. Also please note that the shipping on the 7th of May is for the Minion ASIC chips, not the Prospero miners. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the delay of the update. Kind regards, Black Arrow support

Dear customers,
As many know our support ticket system is very busy. It has come to our attention that some customers have opened many tickets asking the same questions or regarding the same issue. We would greatly appreciate it if only one ticket is opened per question and that in that ticket it is clear what needs to be done. This would help us to improve both the quality of support as well as let us answer tickets faster. Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
Black Arrow support

To clear things up. The development of the LTC chip has not been funded by the money of the pre-orders of the prospero miners. It is a project by the engineers which earn a salary.

Goozman sorry for not answering this question before.
I base this on the information given to me.
|
|
|
As I have said before, I am confident that the deadline will be made and shipping will start on time.
|
|
|
There will be more details available tomorrow.

Phinnaeus Gage I think I miss understood you. By handle I thought you meant he was in charge of the support ticket system not that he has access to it. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hi guys.. Have you seen that on the BS, sorry BA website ?
As far I remember, when I ordered the X-1, they announced around 0.5W/Gh, which was great, then , they moved to a 0.65W/Gh, and now :
Preliminary specifications: Node process: 28nm High Performance Process Package: High Performance Flip Chip BGA Clock: 1.01 Ghz (Slow/Slow corner) Voltage: 0.85V Cores: 99 fully unrolled cores Efficiency (including leakage): 0.75 W/Ghash/second
This means, the UPS I have bought, the electrical installation changes I have done are NOT corresponding ANYMORE to their new specifications !!! Also, they seem to have AGAIN delays, and worse, instead of concentrating their power to be "Just-In-Time", they have started a new project with LTC chips !
First time I invest on BSPO (Bullshit Pre-Orders), from firms that are unable to manage what they offered ! Not sure if I am going to ask for a refund from the sellers...
Still expecting news from Matt and the OFODB to be soon available (Old Fucking Orders Database)... And don't tell me that 6 months + 25% of hashing power will cover the losses I have had (UPS going to be overloaded, even I took one UPS with 25% more power as required !) ...
Angry Michel.
I would request a refund... Good luck if requesting from Black Arrow, for Matt Carson handles the BA's ticket system. SERIOUSLY!!! Just to clarify, Matt Carson does not handle our support ticket system.

Bitcoin Miners progress update – 21 March 2014 5. We have received the 1600 Watt PSU from Power-One, will test this week. ... 16. Front End for the LTC chip is now stable. We’re starting the back end as soon as possible and we’re going to start pre-orders soon.
Thanks for the update. I'm thinking the last I heard about PSUs was 1400W, no? Is this going to a single 1600W PSU for the 2 modules in the X-3? I'd really like to get some final info so I can ensure I have the electric in place. (Also, will there be one or two ethernet connections per X-3 -- how independent are these?) Each case will have its own PSU, so 1 X-3 will have 2 PSU's. Also each case will have its own ethernet connection so 2 ethernet cables per X-3. Each case is completely stand alone and doesn't need another unit to connect too.

Not all of us are in Europe. I can't say who is and who isn't. But yes I am in Europe at the moment.

Well TinkerTom mainly explained it. With the initial plans we had taken into account that everybody, or almost everybody, would be away. This was before the redesigning of the chips to achieve the better power efficiency. Because the redesign was not planned it did not fit into the schedule with the Chinese New Year. So the Chinese New Year wasn't supposed to affect us, but it did with the changes.
|
|
|
Well I haven't had time to read the entire thread here, so forgive me if I'm wrong. Is your concern about the Chinese New Years or is it about something different?

It may not look that way to you but I actually do my very best to get to the bottom of things, and get as much information as possible. However like I have said before, not everything can be released and that is not up to me. If there are people having problems with orders, shipping and other tickets I can look into what is happening there and why it hasn't been resolved yet.

You can have Matt confirm who I am. Or look at the ecointalk forum if you would like to check.
