101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who held onto the large leak list? on: July 01, 2011, 11:49:49 PM
If i really wanted to do that, i could have just used the leaked CSV file that contained ALL of the emails
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Who held onto the large leak list? [1BTC bounty] on: July 01, 2011, 11:37:36 PM

The list was all emails, passwords. About 6000-8000 total lines

Does anyone have a copy?

I think it was from this url : http://pastebin.com/RhheV8Gj or http://pastebin.com/3MmugwwX

these pages are down, maybe you can check your browser cache for these cached pages and see if you have them, dont click them or they'll be overwritten
103  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: run your miners invisibly with different arg when pc idle and pc used (Download) on: June 28, 2011, 05:27:45 AM

104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New phishing Gox-related emails on: June 27, 2011, 07:08:50 AM
Hmmm, it looks like just a text and image file...lol
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my linux box was hacked today and almost 400 BTC were stolen! on: June 23, 2011, 02:30:37 AM
So is this a (poorly) hatched ruse to cover your ass when you start getting questioned by the people you stole from?

Or is this a legitimate case of poor security resulting in coinage loss.

Stay tuned to find out!
Who cares.  Either way he should pay the money back.

Without a doubt, he should.  I dont see why others should suffer due to his negligence, thats *IF* his story is true
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my linux box was hacked today and almost 400 BTC were stolen! on: June 23, 2011, 02:29:40 AM
i am going to get sued because some hacker scum bag

He's already telling everyone he isn't planning to pay back. He is outright lying about this obviously imo. I wouldn't trust this guy. I knew it was going to end badly when I saw the ad. Too bad people lost hard earned btc over this. I'm 100% sure he isn't paying back anyone.

Yes, it seems as if hes trying to gain pity from the forum but at the same time sort of incriminating himself further.

I love this

108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SQLi vulnerabilities in MtGox... on: June 22, 2011, 07:23:48 AM
yeah, its pretty crazy; i bet even a few not-so-good hackers have made quite a bit of money from exploiting the piss poor "security" protecting various BTC sites over the past month or so.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just got hacked - any help is welcome! on: June 14, 2011, 12:29:21 AM
You guys honestly dont realize how unlikely a "meatspace" attack is?  Come on.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just got hacked - any help is welcome! on: June 14, 2011, 12:05:21 AM
I somehow doubt it was a physical attack.  I really dont think its hard for malware to upload one single tiny file from your machine to theirs, and that's it all your money is gone.

Seems that the person responsible is probably ddosing blockexplorer in order to keep you from investigating for a little bit.

Not everyone has or is willing to use a catchall.....
112  Other / Meta / Re: The sensible way to cut down on forum spam.... on: June 12, 2011, 05:57:57 AM
It would deter them somewhat, you can also enable delays between every post.

And if you ban their account, they'd have to register a new email address, which would cut down on at least a good number of the trolls.

Imposing an arbitrary 50 post minimum is pretty hilarious, you think even legit members that want to participate are going to be providing quality posts in order to gain access to the main forums now, nope they're just going to shitpost.  What are you going to do, hire more mods to check the quality of these posts?  Why not use extra mods to quickly ban the trolls polluting the main forums, right now all you have to do is click register and you have a new account within half a minute, email verification will greatly deter creating accounts on the fly and if you get banned within a few minutes, are you really going to want to create a new email and verify it just to get banned again?
113  Other / Meta / The sensible way to cut down on forum spam.... on: June 12, 2011, 05:42:09 AM
The real problem with the forum spam is SIMPLE : It's too easy to create accounts.

Just implement Captcha verification along with Email verification in order to register new accounts.

And force captchas for every post / pm until you hit X posts.

This board has 19694 total members.

You know how many currently have 50+ posts?   Around 650.

I'm quite surprised at how poorly your 'forum spam' issues are being handled especially by people who are supposed to be technically adept.
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wow! 8083BTC Bid at $10.70USD on MtGox! on: June 12, 2011, 05:36:18 AM
It's a great time to buy, the market will go back up
115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie restrictions (Please discuss forum policy here.) on: June 12, 2011, 05:35:09 AM
Due to spam?

Guess what you're going to get in the newbie section when people try to up their post count.

Heres a SANE idea : implement Captchas and Email verifications for new accounts.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchange Watcher program [Open source] (autoit) on: June 11, 2011, 07:47:34 PM
V 1.4.1.1 has been released. Check the first post for change details and a new screenshot.  Cool

Regarding adding balances though, at this time I am unaware of any way to "post" information via AutoIt3. This would be required to make the API login to receive information.

You can,

Something like :
Code:
#include <IE.au3>
#include <http.au3>

$Header = "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded"
$Host = "www.website.com"
$File = "/whatever.php"
$URL = "http://" & $Host & $File
$PostData = "name=steve"

$Socket = _HTTPConnect($Host)
_HTTPPost($Host, $File, $Socket, $PostData)
$recv = _HTTPRead($Socket,0)
MsgBox(0,"","BODY: "&$recv&" ERROR: "&@error)
_HTTPClose($Socket)

Is mt gox cool with you making a request every couple seconds?
118  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What's a fair price for 1.1GHash (sub-letting mining)? on: June 10, 2011, 11:43:32 PM
The reason vlad sells contracts in the first place is because he knows that in four months the returns will be so tiny from mining and he would make more money from people purchasing contracts rather than he could make himself by mining.
119  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitp.it launching a pool, help us beta test it! on: June 10, 2011, 07:57:35 AM
So is this an extension of the javascript miner? or are you dumping that project?
