2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EFF donations and the Bitcoin Faucet on: August 15, 2011, 02:51:51 AM
Give the money out to companies that are trading which accept Bitcoin as encouragement and reward for their efforts.
And some to set up new businesses.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $20 again on: August 14, 2011, 01:45:25 AM
It would be nice if investmernt graphs were just straight lines from zero to the stars but life aint like that, in fact, I prefer it that way, isn't life more interesting and exciting not knowing.
Looking back in a few yrs when you are all millionaires, you'll be able to congratulate yourselves on your daring.
Be daring,   Dig in for the long haul with a small bet and forget the short term trends.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we about to witness something epic? on: August 14, 2011, 01:37:59 AM
There are bad guys out there who will want to make BTC appear a bad investment, sitting around watching the graphs is a sure way to indigestion, it's manipulated, they want you to be depressed, they want you to abandon bitcoin.
Best thing we can do is ignore the charts and concentrate instead on setting up or supporting businesses that accept bitcoin.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: $/BTC Time Series Analysis on: August 14, 2011, 01:08:12 AM
All the indications are that we are headed for a severe financial crisis, as that realization dawns on more and more people, they are going to be looking out for security, how can I protect my savings, how can I buy food, Silver Gold etc.
Bit coin will only succeed if we can draw in the masses, this means they must see businesses up and running. The masses are not interested in speculation, they have lives to lead, time to spend with their family, all they want is a quick easy way to buy stuff, silver, food, a cinema ticket, a gift for a loved one.
If they can do that AND stick two fingers up to the establishment, they will buy in.
If those things are available, they will buy into Bitcoin, and the more that buy in, the more the price will increase, it's that which will drive the price stratospheric, online vendors using bitcoins.
Bitcoiners can help ensure the success of Bitcoin by building businesses that accept bitcoins and by making purchases with Bitcoin.
I know there are many already but the success of bitcoin depends on us all taking action that supports bitcoin, that means settingup businesses and / or purchasing with bitcoin.
Those businesses already set up, thse people who've made the commitment shuld be rewarded, either with our custom or small donatins, it is they that will ensure the success of Bitcoin, not the Miners, and not the hoarders and not the speculators, without bitcoin traders, people who buy and sell using bitcoin, the masses will not buy in.
Those who have made the effort should be encouraged and rewarded for their effort, is there any way that some of the Bit coin fees can be distributed to those who have set up businesses online or who accept bitcoin, this not only rewards their efforts but provides incentive for others to have a go at setting up bitcoin businesses.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin simply are not worth ($10 or $9 or $8) on: August 14, 2011, 12:41:50 AM
What will make Bitcoin work is people setting up businesses and trading, hoarding and speculating will not attract the masses, they just want a simple cheap fast wayto buystuff, if they can stick two fingers up to the establishment at the same time that makes it more attractive.
Most people will not be interested in speculating.
Setting up businesses are the most important thing.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the most interesting piece of software since Bitcoin... on: July 10, 2011, 12:20:39 AM
Couldn't the Bitcoin Community hire the Botnet community to do the same, or pay for 300 million Botnet Ads.

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I feel it is my duty to warn you all. on: June 28, 2011, 04:26:36 PM
Govt's and their Central Banker Puppet Masters are the Biggest Crooks, regulation isn't about public financial security it's about them maintaining control over the money supply.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but the entire western financial model is a massive Ponzi scheme, and you're right, what is there to stop MtGox running off with people's money, so maybe people need to think about that but suggesting the Govt ( Ben Bernanke ) 'regulate' the Bitcoin economy, there has to be a better way or we will end up with the same system we are trying to escape.
No Govt run regulating authority will ever let Bitcoin run as a truly free market monetary system,
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoinHop.com Auction Site Hacked? on: June 28, 2011, 04:13:06 PM
I had a few things listed there for free so if it was a scam He / she never made anything from me, I would expect most listers also chose the free option too so I can't see anyone making much that way, would have been more profitable to spend the time setting up a real business, so, Maybe he was hacked and because he wasn't making much, decided it wasn't worth the effort getting back up and running.
Was quite a nice auction site, didn't seem as popular as http://bitcoinclassifieds.net but might have grown with time.
Wish hm well and hope he tries again, Bitcoin needs entrepreneurs, maybe Bitcoin could provide advice for those setting up online shops etc.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you doing business selling goods or services for bitcoins? on: June 28, 2011, 03:52:25 PM
That's what's needed, shops and business' using Bitcoin, otherwise the public will not buy in, most Bitcoin trade now seems to be people playing Casino Trading at the exchanges,

17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anarchy =~ Communism on: June 27, 2011, 11:57:17 AM
Communism isn't about fairness, Communism has always been funded by the Banks, what they mean by redistribution is redistribution upwards into their vaults.
The Bankers funded the Communsuist in China and ther Soviet Union.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question to all speculators - What if Bitcoins' price just flatline? on: June 24, 2011, 04:58:17 PM
They can't flatline, as more and more people see the advantage of being able to send money, anywhere, anytime, in private, where will they put significant amounts of their money, why woulod anyone use a Bank ever again.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Value do YOU think bitcoins will be worth once all coins are mined? on: June 24, 2011, 04:33:52 PM
Each Bitcoin will have the buying power of between 1 Million and 100Million Dollars does today, why, because Bitcoin is a finite but divisible currency AND it has the potential for complete privacy in financial transactions, for that reason, once the masses understand this, there will be another Gold Rush.
Think of the potential to be able to send your children £20 without requiring a Bank, or Govt, it will be too temptig for businesses too.
Though they may try to fight it, Govt will have to come round to our way of thinking.
