I am a killer to, for 0.1 BTC I can kill the member named LeFBI on this boad.

Someone interested?

yes, ill pay but it should be free considering he's trying to illicit illegal activities...  Sad

besides that they got way bigger things to worry about ...
63  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: memory doesn't stay underclocked when under load on: July 22, 2011, 11:49:33 AM
ok so i admit i had my hopes up but still same thing, can clock up but not down ... ;(

above 1250 has effect, below it does not.

clocktweak.exe -y -a 0 -m 1250

ive been able to underclock the mem only with racerX (same author as RBE) but the GPU becomes locked at 500, so no good either, but shows me there is some possibility of lowering the mem clock with these cards.
64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: memory doesn't stay underclocked when under load on: July 22, 2011, 11:30:07 AM
i guess ill have to buy it and try it...
65  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: memory doesn't stay underclocked when under load on: July 22, 2011, 11:09:20 AM
you prob have a non ref card like me and cant under-clock the memory with current applications available.

the jump up is the card switching between low power idle mode and full power 3d mode.

so in effect your underclocks aren't actually having any effect.

my cards are gigabyte 6950 oc's

Weird, I'm on Win7 with two cards and have never experienced the 100% cpu problem. I mine pretty much 24/7 (of course) and my cpu is always around 30-70% on all cores.

you have it too. you get 100% when you set an affinity to one core, rather than it being spread out. it seems to produce less heat this way and is more responsive.

Also I fired up a CPU miner on that same core, Doesnt slow down the gfx cards at all and atleast the 99% useage is getting sent somewhere productive.

i just tried it for fun, but it reduces my gpu speeds to cpu speeds (under .5Mhs) so i would have to use a core not being affinity by the gpus. not worth it, would be more effectiev for me to oc my gpus a bit more.

yeah i have to underclock cpu to keep my fan noise and heat down.

restarting it worked, its away now Smiley
70  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: TEST network, for experimental development and hacking on: July 21, 2011, 12:40:56 PM
ive had my client in testnet mode for some time and it says 14 connections but the initial 1000 blocks hasn't changed...

does it normally take ages at moment ??

OP, so what ! theres nothing which stops you doing exactly that with any part of the internet that allows user submission, like blog comments, forums, pastebins, email servers, and bit-torrent

74  Economy / Economics / Re: Bernanke is Wrong - Default will help the economy. on: July 20, 2011, 12:43:33 PM
USA will never default as that would mean government giving up and closing up shop and wars ending. they dont want this instead they want to make it as tough on yo as possible, so say goodbye to social security
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIminer throttle for CUDA? on: July 20, 2011, 05:12:34 AM
im not sure exactly what thats cards temps are good to, youd need to look that up. but as mentioned your only way is underclocking or better cooling for case or/and  card. but either way its prob not worth worrying about it too much with a nvidia card.  Tongue
76  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIminer throttle for CUDA? on: July 20, 2011, 04:28:56 AM
-f wont reduce your temps, it just helps with responsiveness while using computer. how hot are we talking ?
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GUIminer throttle for CUDA? on: July 20, 2011, 03:26:27 AM
what you may be talking about is -f ?? this priority not throttle, one suggestion to keep temps down is underclock or increase fans
78  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Optimizing ATI performance, 6950 in particular on: July 20, 2011, 01:09:03 AM
i just bought another GB 6950, the flash worked but no extra shaders had... ;(
79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem 6950 OC 1GB on: July 20, 2011, 01:06:04 AM
no, they are talking about right clicking on a flash video and getting options that way. but this doesnt always work, as with me. possibly 11.7 ccc could fix this.
80  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Catalyst 11.7 on: July 20, 2011, 01:02:31 AM
in win the only work around ive come to so far is under clocking and core affinity. if only you could throttle a core or process's usage to keep the heat & cpu fan down...
